Good Morning Dolls and Merry Christmas. I hope today you are in great spirits and that your spoons are endless.
I woke up in extreme pain today. I also have very little spoons…. I stayed out too late yesterday and now my body is mad at me, Today’s Face of the Day is a full face of Rimmel London makeup. This post will be a quick Face of the Day and my next post will be the review, so there will be no Final Thoughts today.
Let’s jump into it….
BASE: I used Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Primer ($6.62 for 1 fluid ounce on Amazon’s website). Rimmel doesn’t have a color corrected so I used my go to corrector… Tarte CC Undereye Corrector () in Light-Medium. I concealed with Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer ($6.49 for .23 fluid ounces on Amazon’s website) in the color 200 Light. I used the Rimmel Lasting FInish Breathable Foundation ($3.91 for 1 fluid ounce on Amazon’s website) in the color 102 Light Nude.I set my full face with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder ($3.97 for .49 ounces on Amazon’s website) in the color 011 Creamy Natural. I warmed up my face with the Rimmel Natural Bronzer ($3.97 for .49 ounces on Amazon’s website) in the color 022 Sun Bronze.
EYES: I primed my lids using Tarte Shape Tape () in the color Light-Medium Honey. The eye shadow palette I purchased did not have a flat cream color so I set my Shape Tape with Wet n Wild Color Icon in (.99 at Walgreens) in the color Brulee. I used the Rimmel MAgnif’Eyes Nude Edition Eye Contouring Palette ($7.59 for .5 ounces of product on the Amazon website) for today’s look. For my transition shade I chose the 5th color in the palette (a grey toned tan satin). For my Crease and the outer v and outer 1/3 of the lid I chose the 10th shade in the palette (a muted grey toned plum). I also used this color on my lower lash line… there were no middle tone colors so I did not do a drop shadow today, just lined the lower lash line with the same shade I used in my crease. For the inner 1/3 of my lid I used the 2nd color of the palette (a pale pink metallic) and on the middle 1/3 I used the 4th shade of the palette (a bronze with peach shift metallic). For my inner corner highlight I chose the 1st shade of the palette ( a pale cream satin). I chose not to purchase the Rimmel Eye Brow highlighting pencil and so I used my BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and I set the pencil with the 3rd shade of the Rimmel Palette (sort of a grey toned cream matte).I chose not to buy a eye liner as I have tried them in the past and do not like Rimmel’s eye or lip pencils… I lined my water line with the NYX Faux Whites ($8 at Ulta) in the color Linen. The brow product I order from Amazon by Rimmel was lost in transit so i have to wait until next week for it, so I just used what I had. I lined my brows with ELF’s Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($ on their site), filled in my brows with the Professional Brow Powder ($10 at Oh La La Brow Bar), and set my brow with the ELF Wow Brow ($4 on their site) all in the color Dark Brown. For Mascara I chose the Rimmel Extra Super Lash ($4.47 on Amazon’s website) in the color Black-Black.
CHEEKS and LIPS: I used Rimmel’s Kate Palette ($5.75 for .65 ounces of product on the Amazon website) for my blush and highlighter… the blush is a coral satin and the highlighter ( I used on the tops of my cheeks, my temples, my brow bone, and my Cupid’s bow) is a true champagne color. I lined my lips with NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the color Whipped Caviar and filled in my lips with Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid Lip Color ($3.99 for .21 Fluid Ounces on the Amazon website) in the color Pink Bliss …
Well that’s all for now … stay tuned for the review to follow after this post …. and as always don’t forget to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick…
