Good morning dolls. I hope you are having a great day. Today I wanted to try a cut crease…. I think for my first time doing one it came out pretty good. My eyebrow did not cooperate with me today, but the cut crease wasn’t that hard to do.
Well let’s talk Face of the Day …..
BASE: I primed using the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Primer ($38 on their website). I color corrected using the Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium. For foundation today I am wearing ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer ($14 on their website) in the color Medium 10N.I concealed my under eyes with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer ($32 on the Beautylish website) in the color 5.5 Medium. I set my full face using Laura Mercier Lose Setting Powder ($39 at Sephora) in the color Translucent. I bronzed my face with Makeup Geek Contour ($9.99 on their website) in the color Complicated (a cool medium).
EYES: I primed my lids with Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey. I set the Shape Tape with Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Shadow (.99 at Walgreens) in the color Burlee. I used the palette I created from Makeup Geek ($17 on their website, empty palette is free). I picked Peach Smoothie (a light bright peach matte) for my 1st transition shade. As my 2nd transition shade I chose Tuscan Sun (a mid- toned coral pink matte). For my crease I used Punkin’ (a deepened orange toned coral matte). I deepened my outer v and outer part of the crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid with Dark Roast (a deep true brown matte). I used my Shape Tape to cut the crease and then used I’m Peachless (a pale yellow champagne with a peach shift shimmer) over the Shape Tape. I used a combination of Tuscan Sun and Dark Roast as my drop shadow on the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners with Shima Shima (pale champagne with a silver shift shimer)I lined my waterline with BH Cosmetics Power Pencil ($8 on their website) in the color Beige. I did my brows with Benefit Precisely My Brow ($24 on their website) and Gimme Brow ($24 on their website) in the color 4.5 and then I carved out my brow line with BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow bone with So Pale (a muted white matte).I used Benefit Roller Lash mascara ($25 on their website).
CHEEKS and LIPS: For blush I used Makeup Geek Single Pan Blush ($9.99 on their website) in the color Heart Throb (a mid-toned coral matte).I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, eye brows, and Cupid’s Bow with ColourPop Super Shock Highlighter ($8 on their website) in the color Wisp (a light golden champagne). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippe Pencil ($6 on their website) in the color Lumire (a mid-toned muted mauve matte) and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($6 on their website) in the color Topanga (a true coral cream).
Final Thoughts….
I am almost done the Bye Bye Pores Primer … I will not be repurchasing it. It really doesn’t blur my pores at all and it gives a white cast with flash photography. I really don’t like the way it smells either. The Tarte CC Undereye Corrector gave me a hard time today, I had to apply 2 layers to correct my under eye which ended up creasing like crazy. The ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer was perfect today. I finally figured it out…. this product works better if you don’t use a moisturizer under it. It went on smoother and even and didn’t cause patchiness for the powders I used. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer just isn’t working for me in this color …. I really need to pick up a lighter shade. It’s a dried formula but it looks good under the eyes, it does emphasize my lines a bit but it doesn’t crease. My eyebrows didn’t work out for me today and nothing I tried did any good. It’s not the brow pencil and gel’s fault … it’s user error but they look a mess today.
Well that’s all for now dolls… I didn’t grade the products I used today because I have already reviewed the products. I hope you enjoyed my post and hope you have a blast tonight …. Happy New Years dolls… and as always save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
