Pop of Pink Face of the Day

Hey doll hey. Sorry I’m late posting today. It’s been a really bad Bi-Polar day for me. I ended up redoing my makeup like 5 times today. I over slept and woke up in a considerable amount of pain.  I wanted a punch of color today so without further ado let’s talk face of the day ….

Base: I primed my face with It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Primer ($38 on their website). I also used ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 on their website) around my nose and between my brows. I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium. I concealed using Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta, Sephora. and on their website) in the color No. 5. For foundation I chose BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Liquid Foundation ($9.50 on their website) in the color 208 Medium Beige. I set my undereyes using RCMA No Color Powder ($12 on the Beautylish Website). I set the rest of my face using Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 16-Hour Powder ($7.29 at Target) in the color 200 Natural Beige. I warmed up my face using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish ($36 at Ulta and MAC) in the color Give Me Sun. I also baked the jaw line using the RCMA No Color Powder also.

Eyes: I primed my eyes using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey. I set the Shape Tape with the 2nd color of the 1st row (a basic cream matte) from the Coastal Scents Revealed Matte Palette ($20 on their website). For my eye look today I used the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette ($49 at Ulta and Sephora). I chose the color So Boujee (a mid-toned tan matte) as my transition shade today. To deepen my crease and on the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid I used Chocolate Truffle (a medium orange based brown matte). I first tried to use Livin’ Lavish (a deep purple with a pink shift shimmer) on my lids but I couldn’t get good color payoff I tried to use Too Faced Glitter Glue as a base and then went back into Livin’ Lavish and it just made a crumbly patchy mess. This is such a beautiful color that swatches amazingly but something gets lost in translation when it’s applied. I think I will try to use it over a cream eye shadow base. So I took off my makeup and started again and this time I used New Money (a bright fuchsia with a berry shift shimmer) all over my mobile lids. I deepened my outer V and outer 1/3 of the lid with the color Decadent (a deep black matte). I buffed Decadent out with a little more So Boujee and then used a little amount of Classy & Sassy (a rose gold shimmer) to blend the two lid colors together. I used Chocolate Truffle again on my lower lash line and blew it out using So Boujee. I then lined the lower lash line with Decadent. I used Hikari Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the color Honey Dew as my inner corner highlight. I lined my waterlines with BH Power Pencil ($8 on their website) in the color Beige and my upper lash line with the BH Power Pencil ($8 on their website) in Black.  Today I used NYX Micro Brow Pencil ($10 at Ulta) in the color Brunette and set the brows using Rimmel Wonder’full Brow Gel ($5.97 at Walmart) in the color Dark. I carved out my brow line with BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side. I set the brow line using Rollin’ In Dough (a basic white cream matte) from the Chocolate Gold Palette. For my lashes I used Loreal Voluminous Base ($6.79 at Target) to prime and then I used Tarte Tarteist Mascara ($23 at Ulta and on their website) in black.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush and highlight today I use the BH Cosmetics Glowing in Greece 6 Color Blush & Highlight Palette ($16 on their website). I used the color Paros (a bright orange coral matte) for blush and a mix of Athens (a champagne) and Olympia (a gold) for highlight. I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, between my brows, tops of the brow bones, and Cupid’s Bow. I wanted to wear a bright pink but couldn’t be bothered to look through my lipstick collection so I chose ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) and Lippie Stix ($6 on their website) in the color Lumiere (a mauve pink nude).

Final Thoughts:

ELF Poreless Putty Primer: A                                                                                                           So I decided to try this primer out again…. You get .74 ounces of product in the jar. I know I hated it when I did the full face of ELF products, review can be found here -> ELF Face of the Day but I have been trying the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer and have been loving that one so I thought let me try the ELF one again using it the same way I use the Tarte one…. and well …. I am in love… it works just a good as the Tarte one does. It left my poreless looking and smooth between my brows …. I am glad I gave it another try. What I did was dig a bit of product out and warmed it up between my fingers and then pressed it into the pore area and the space between my brows and it melts into the skin and blurs those areas so well…. I definitely am adding this into my makeup rotation.

Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer: B+++  I have changed my mind about this concealer. Today I tried it using a Beauty Blender instead of my fingers or a concealer brush and it worked into the under eyes so well that way. Left my under eye looking flawless, bright, and hydrated. I set the concealer using RCMA No Color Powder … and then baked the under eye a little …. I should have just stopped at setting it …. It looked great that way… but after baking my under eye looks a bit dry. So this is not a concealer that you can bake with. But it is a great little concealer.

BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Liquid Foundation: A+++                                                          Using this foundation in combination with a Beauty Blender really makes a difference! I loved the way this foundation looked with a brush but with a Beauty Blender it just melts into the skin seamlessly. My skin looked so good I didn’t even want to set my face. It was the most flawless, natural looking makeup I’ve ever seen!! I truly think this might be a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette: C-                                                                                          This palette is hit or miss for me. All the colors swatch beautifully however they don’t all transfer to the lids evenly. Some of the darker shades have very little color payoff. You really need to use a wet brush or some type of eye shadow base to get the colors to pop. It’s pretty, it’s just not consistent.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil: A-                                                                                                                  I use to absolutely love this brow pencil. It’s an OK pencil , better than the ColourPop Brow Boss Pencil, but not as good and the ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil. I will use it up but I probably wont repurchase it.

Rimmel Wonder’full Brow Gel: D-                                                                                               This product hadn’t arrived when I did my Rimmel London Product review. So I decided to try it out today. This brow gel sucks…. It has the wrong tone, it’s gloppy, it transfers every where, and it lifts the other brow products off. I will not be using it up, it’s going in the trash straight away.

Tarte Tarteist Mascara: B++                                                                                                          This mascara took me forever to finish. I finally used the last of it today… that or it finally dried out. It’s a good mascara, I just don’t like the brush so I will not be repurchasing it.

BH Cosmetics Glowing in Greece 6 Color Blush & Highlight Palette: A+++!!!                            Every time I use this palette I fall deeper in love. I was on the fence about the highlighters because they have glitter in them , but I found a way to make it work that makes the highlight look amazing. I apply my highlighter as the last face step. Once I apply it I use setting spray and then I go in with my damp Beauty Blender and press the product into my skin…. It leaves it glowing to the heavens and melted into the skin. I am so happy with this purchase.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Later this week I will have a full face of Makeup Revolution review. Until then, remember save a spoon for a bit of makeup.

XOXO
