Colour Pop Whatever Palette Face of the Day

Good afternoon dolls!!! Hope your day is going good. I slept in late today so I’m off to a late start. It’s a bit cold here in Florida today but oddly enough my pain level is low today. Well let’s jump into the Face of the Day…..

Base: I preped my pores using ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 on their website) and then primed my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Primer ($12 on their website). For foundation today I am using the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation ($47 at Ulta) in the color 270 Bisque W. I color corrected my under eyes using the Tarte Cc Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium and then I used the Flower Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer ($10 on their website and at Walmart) in the color L3-4 Light. I set my face using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder ($45 on the Beautylish website) in the color 2 Medium. I warmed up my face using the ColourPop Pressed Powder Bronzer ($8 on their website) in the color Talk to the Palm. I set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, bridge of the nose, and center of my forehead using the RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

Eyes:  I primed my lids using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey and then set the Shape Tape using Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Shadow ($.99 at Walgreens) in the color Brulee. For today’s look I am using the ColourPop Whatever Pressed Powder Palette ($18 on their website). For my 1st transition shade I chose Copy Cat (a dusty peach matte). As my 2nd transition shade I am using Maybe Later (a mid toned brick red matte). To deepen my crease and the outer 1/2 of my mobile lid I used Bad Guy (a muted red toned burgundy matte). On my full mobile lid I used TTYN (a burgundy metallic). I deepened the outer v and outer 1/3 of my mobile lid using Ms. Brightside (a deep red plum matte). I then took Dittchin’ U (a bright terra cotta metallic) and used it to blend the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then took more of Bad Guy and used it as drop shadow on my lower lash line and then I lined the lower lashes with more of Ms. Brightside. To highlight my inner corners I used Tardy (a pale golden champagne super shock shadow). I lined my waterlines using the AOA Studio XL Long Lasting Shadow Stick ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) in the color Matte Yogurt. I used the AOA Studio Wonder Brow Tinted Brow Pomade ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) and the AOA Studio Go Brow Fiber Gel ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) both in the color Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlight ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set it with the Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Shadow ($.99 at Walgreens) in the color Sugar (an icy white shimmer). For mascara today I chose ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara ($8 on their website) in the color Black on Black.

Cheeks and Lips: For my blush today I chose Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($5 on their website and at Ulta) in the color Rhubarb & Custard (a peachy coral matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, center of my forehead, and Cupid’s bow using the Pixi and Rachel Loves The Layers Highlighting Palette Glow On ($24.49 at Target) in the colors Lace (a pinkish champagne) mixed with Tee (a golden champagne). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the color BFF (a warm nude tan) and filled in the lips using the Becky G and ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip ($8 on their website) in the color Mija (a rosey nude matte).

Final Thoughts:

ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Primer: A+                                           You get 1 fluid ounce of product in this plastic pump bottle. It has hyaluronic acid and coconut water in it. It was very fresh and hydrating. My foundation went on over so smoothly. I love the way it smells too, i can’t place the scent but it’s crisp and pleasant.

ColourPop Whatever Pressed Powder Palette: A++                                                                  You get .38 ounces of product total. I so love this palette, would have given it a higher grade if not for the pressed glitter. I would have preferred another super shock shadow in the palette over a pressed glitter. The shadows are super pigmented and blend out very well. There is no muddiness when buffing the colors into each other. There is a ton of kickback with this palette but I did not notice any fallout when applying the shades to the eye. This palette is great for that full on pop of color type days. It’s not an everyday palette but it’s worth the price.

ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara: A+                                                                                     You get .24 fluid ounces of product and comes in 10 shades. This mascara is pretty good. I used 2 coats on both the upper and lower lashes and there was no clumping or flaking. My lashes don’t feel crunchy or heavy. They did however stick together a bit more than I would like but it’s still pretty good. I’ll use it up but am not sure yet if I will repurchase it.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip: A+++                                                                                                   You get .11 fluid ounces of product and is offered in 17 shades. This is a semi-matte lipstick that dries down but doesn’t feel drying. There is still a bit of tack to it when it dries down but it doesn’t transfer. This lipstick doesn’t feather into fine lines. It’s very comfortable on the lips as well. This is a long wearing lip product that fades down nicely. I really liked it and truly love the color I purchased… I bought a back up because it’s a limited edition lipstick. I am interested in picking up other colors too.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope you have a great day and remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
