Blush Toned Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day today. It’s cold here in Florida today so I’m trying to stay warm and keep my pain level down. I got a really great gift in the mail today from my husband. He bought me the Tati Beauty Vol. 1 eye shadow palette!!! I’ll be swatching it in my next blog post but for now let’s get into today’s Face of the Day….

Base: I primed my face using the Loreal Infallible Glow Lock Illuminating Primer ($12.99 at Ulta). My foundation is the Pixi Flawless Beauty Fluid ($15 on their website) in the color No. 3 Warm. I color corrected using the Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium and then went in with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer ($32 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the color 5.5 Medium. I set my face using the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder ($4.99 at Target) in the color 011 Creamy Natural. I set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, bridge of the nose and center of the forehead using the RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website) and then I warmed up my face using Flower Beauty Heatwave Luminous Bronzer ($9.98 at Walmart) in the color Sunsweapt M1.

Eyes: I primed my eyes using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey. For today’s eye look I am using the NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette ($18 at ulta) in the color way Warm Neutrals. I set my Shape Tape using the 3rd color of the 1st row (a standard cream matte). For my transition color I used the 1st color of the 2nd row (a dusty mauve matte). To warm up the crease and outer 1/2 of my mobile lid I chose the 4th color of the 3rd row (a mid-toned reddish terra cotta matte). I used the 3rd shade of the 3rd row (an orange metallic with pink reflect)on the middle 1/3 of my mobile lid and then used the 3rd shade of the 2nd row (a light pinky nude metallic) on the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then deepened the outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using the 4th shade of the 4th row (a grey based deep brown matte). I then went back in the the 4th shade of the 3rd row (the mid-toned reddish terra cotta matte) and smoked out the bottom lash line. I highlighted the inner corners with the 2nd shade of the 1st row (an ivory metallic). I did my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) and Gimme Brow ($24 at Ulta) in the color 4.5 and then carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side. I set the brow line using the 1st shade of the 1st row (a creamy ivory matte). I lined my waterlines using Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eyeliner ($5 on their website) in the color Nude. For mascara I am using the Benefit Roller Lash ($25 at Ulta) in the color Black.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush I chose MAC Powder Blush ($25 at MAC and Ulta) in the color Pinch O’ Peach (a coral pink matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, center of my forehead, and Cupid’s bow using the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter ($8 on their website) in the color A Smile and a Song (a soft gold pearlized which is part of the Disney Designer Collection). I lined my lips using Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat ($22 on the Beautylish website) in the color Pillow Talk and then filled in my lips using NYX Velvet Matte Lipstick ($7 on their website maybe discontinued) in the color Soft Femme (a blush toned nude) and then I topped the middle of the lips off with MAC Satin Lipstick ($19 at MAC and Ulta) in the color Myth (a peachy nude).

Final Thoughts :

Loreal Infallible Glow Lock Illuminating Primer: A+                                                               I’ve already done a full face Loreal makeup review so I wont go too far in depth… but this is a really nice primer. It gives the skin a nice glow without being shimmery and without looking greasy. My foundation went on over it beautifully.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Fluid: A-                                                                                                    Again I’ve already done a full face review of Pixi cosmetics so I will just say the finish of this foundation is so beautiful!!! I just wish it came in more than 3 shades.

Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer: A++                                                                             Now that I’ve got the hang of how to use this product I am loving the finish it gives my under eyes, I still have to use a color corrector to get the dark circles but this concealer layered over the corrector looks amazing.

Flower Beauty Heatwave Luminous Bronzer: A++                                                                  This bronzer give such a pretty glow to the skin… and it’s not a shimmery or glittery formula. This bronzer buffs into the skin so seamlessly that it leaves the skin looking healthy.

NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette: A+++                                                                                           This palette is a great all in 1 palette that has tons of pigmentation and zero kick back in the pan. There is also no fallout with these shadows. It’s a great everyday palette. The shadows buff into each other well and blend out easily.

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter: B+                                                                         This highlighter swatches beautifully… lots of glow with no glitter… but when it’s applied to the skin … tons of glitter I don’t get it??? The glitter does dissipate when you use a setting spray but I can still see glitter on my forehead.

NYX Velvet Matte Lipstick: A                                                                                                               I think this formula is being discontinued by NYX because I couldn’t find many colors offered on their website and the ones they did have are on sale for $3. This is a comfortable matte lipstick that does tug at the lips when applied. It doesn’t feather and it doesn’t travel outside the lip line. It wears down evenly and has a pretty good staying time.

MAC Satin Lipstick: A++                                                                                                                       I keep forgetting that I have Myth in my collection. I own a few of the Satin formula and love how well they wear. They do not last a long time but they last a decent amount of time and blend into other lip colors very well.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Stay tuned for a swatch post on the New Tati Beauty Vol. 1 palette…. remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
