Everyday Neutral Look Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How are you doing today? Great I hope. I woke up really late today, around 9:30 am. So I got a late start to my makeup. I just finished around 2 pm. Had to rest up a ton today, very low on spoons. I started to not want to do my makeup because I just don’t have much energy, but my husband reminded me of my motto… to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick… and so I dusted myself off and jumped into makeup. I decided to do just an everyday look mainly because my energy wouldn’t let me do much this morning. I also am testing out 3 products that I wanted to see if I would declutter or not… Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Coverage Foundation, ELF HD Lifting Concealer, and Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder. As I have been doing lately I will be discussing these products in Final Thoughts. So let’s jump into the Face of the Day ….

Base: I primed my face using Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($45 at Sephora). My foundation today is Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Coverage Foundation ($43 at Sephora) in the shade Y235 Ivory Beige. I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium. I concealed my under eyes using ELF HD Lifting Concealer ($4 at Walmart and on their website) in the shade Light. I set my face using Loreal Infallible Pro Mate 16-HR Powder ($7.29 at Target) in the shade 200 Natural Beige. I warmed up the face using Makeup Geek Contour Powder (discontinued do to rebranding) in the shade Complicated (a cool medium bronze). I set my under eyes and baked the jaw line, bridge of my nose, and center of the forehead using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

Eyes: I primed the lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer () in the shade Mediun 1 Custard and set that with Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder () in the shade Translucent. For my eye look today I am using the palette that I created from Makeup Geek (discontinued do to rebranding , however you can build your own palette under the rebranding for $49.41), this was before the rebranding. As my 1st transition color I used the shade Peach Smoothie (a pale peach matte). For my 2nd transition color I mixed the shades Punkin’ (a mid-toned coral orange matte) and Dark Roast (a deep mid-toned brown matte). On my mobile lid I 1st laid down a base of cream highlighter on the inner 2/3… I used AOA Studio Dewy Creme Highlighter ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) in the shade Silk (a deep coral champagne). On top of that I used the shade I’m Peachless (a pale peach with pink shift shimmer). I then took more of the shade Punkin’ and placed that on the middle 1/3 of the lid. I deepened the outer v, low down on the crease, and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using more of the shade Dark Roast. I then layered the shade Rapunzel over the middle of the inner and middle 1/3 to blend those shades together more. I lined my upper lash line using Iglot Eyeliner Gel ($17 on the Beautylish website and on Amazon) in the shade 90 Brown and lined my lower waterline using Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eyeliner ($5 on their website) in the shade Nude.  I set my brows using Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10 at Target and on their website) in clear and filled in my brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($4 on their website) in the shade Dark Brown, and then I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that using the shade So Pale (a cream matte). I used the shade Punkin’ to create a drop shadow on the lower lash line and then went in with more of Dark Roast to darken the lower lash line. I then buffed more of Peach Smoothie on the lower lash line to blend the drop shadow out. I highlighted my inner corners using the shade Shimma Shimma (a pale white champagne). For mascara today I am using Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes ($29 on the Beautylish website) in the shade Glossy Black.

Cheeks and Lips: My blush today is Makeup Geek Blush (discontinued do to rebranding) in the shade Heart Throb (salmon brown matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, center of my forehead, bridge of the nose, and Cupid’s Bow using Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 at Ulta) in the shade Precious Petals (a golden champagne with a slight pink flip). I lined my lips using Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liner ($6 on their website and at Target) in the shade Rose (a bright rosey pink) and then topped that using Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour ($5.49 at Target) in the shade Pink Bliss (a rosey pink).

Final Thoughts:

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Coverage Foundation:                                                    The shade I have is a spot on shade match for me. I like this foundation. It looks nice on the skin and bends in quickly. It doesn’t set down all the way so you do need to set it with powder. It’s a high medium coverage foundation. It’s not a foundation that wows me, but I do like using it. So I will use up what I have but I will not be repurchasing it. I will not be decluttering this one from my collection.

ELF HD Lifting Concealer:                                                                                                              First of all, the shade I have is the shade light…. it’s in no way light. It’s a perfect shade match for my skin tone, but it’s not light. I don’t have much of this concealer left. They do have the shade fair which is lighter but it’s always out of stock. I have decided I just don’t like this concealer enough to keep it …. I have decluttered it, I may in the future try it in the shade fair, if I can ever get my hands on it, but for now it’s been decluttered.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder:                                                                                      I never reach for this highlighter. I keep forgetting I have it. I really love this highlighter and I don’t have another one that is similar to this one. I have moved it to my everyday drawer to try and get some more use out of it. It’s a tiny bit on the dusty side, but once you use setting spray it melts into the skin beautifully. There is no glitter in this one either, something that drives me crazy…. yes we all know how much I noramlly harte glitter….but I really do love this highlighter and I will not be decluttering this one from my collectiion.

Well there you have it, out of the 3 things on the chopping block, I have decluttered 1 item and have decided once I have used up another one, I will not repurchase it…

I hope you have an amazing rest of your day/night and remember…. save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
