Valentine’s Day Cut Crease Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How is you day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up seriously late today…. I just couldn’t get out of bed. I had a hard time sleeping last night so I knew today was going to be a challenge. I decided to go a bit more dramatic today for today’s Valentine’s Day inspired look and so I added lashes to really get the look to pop. The only product that I was testing for declutter was ELF Flawless Finish Foundation ($6 on their website) in the shade Sand. I decided to keep it. I really like the look I get with it, it’s a tiny bit too dark for me but I can make it work. Well, let’s get into the Face of the Day …..

Base: I primed my face using Benefit The Porefessional Hydrate Primer ($32 at Ulta) and then I also primed using Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora) in the shade Dew You. I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium. For foundation I used ELF Flawless Finish Foundation ($6 on their website) in the shade Sand. I concealed my under eyes using Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta) in the shade No. 5 I set the face using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up the face using Rimmel London Natural Bronzer ($3.99 at Target) in the shade 022 Sun Bronze. I then set my under eyes and baked the jaw line, center of the forehead, and bridge of the nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 at the Beautylish website).

Eyes: I primed thee lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and then I set that with some more Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop All That 12 Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($18 on their website). For my transition color I used the shade Wink Wink (a dusty red matte). I then used the shade BB Girl (a true baby pink matte) as placement all over the mobile lid. For my crease and outer v I used the shade Silhouette (a muted burgundy matte). I applied this shade haphazardly and then went in and cut the crease using more NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer. On the inner 1/3 of the cut crease I used the shade Risque (an icy pink with silver reflect metallic). On the center 1/3 of the cut crease I used the shade Infatuation (a bright scarlet metallic). On the outer 1/3 of the cut crease I used more of the shade Silhouette and then went back and forth between all 3 shades to get a perfected blend. I created a drop shadow on the lower lash line using the shade Wink Wink and then deepened the lash line using more of Silhouette. On the inner corners I used Hikari Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Fairytale (an icy white with silver reflect). I lined the lower waterlines using NYX Faux Whites Inner Eye Brightener ($8 at Ulta) in the shade Linen (a creamy nude). I set the brows using the soap brow technique and followed that up by using a bit of Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10 at Target) in clear. I filled in my brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 on their website) in the shade Depp Brown. I carved out the brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that using the shade Uncuffed (a pale baby pink matte). I then put on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on Lady Moss’s website) in the style Queen B. I then tight lined the upper waterlines using BH Cosmetics Power Pencil ($8 on their website, on sale for $6 right now) in the shade Black and then I used Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Black on the lower lash lines and on the upper lash lines to blend them into the false lashes.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am using Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Natural Beauty (a reddish pink matte). To highlight the tops of my cheeks, Cupid’s Bow, center of the forehead, and bridge of the nose using the shade Athens (a pale peachy champagne) from the BH Cosmetics Glowing in Greece 6 Color Blush & Highlighter Palette ($16 on their website and at Ulta). I lined and then filled in my lips using NYX Slim Lip Pencil ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Bloom (a deep and bright berry pink). I topped the middle of my lips off with NARS Lip Gloss ($24 at Sephora) in the shade Stripe Tease (a champagne nude).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I have been loving playing with the All That eyeshadow palette!!! There is just so much that I can do with this palette. I have already reviewed this palette so I wont bore you any further, I’ll just say that if you are into playing with color and you want to try your hand at a super cute red look… this is the palette for you!!!

I haven’t worn false lashes in over a year and forgot just how pretty lashes look. Queen B is my all time favorite lashes on the planet. They where a little hard to get on today, mainly because I am out of practice, but they were the perfect lash for this deep cut crease look.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. I have purchased a bunch of makeup this week so stay tuned for some more hauls and reviews…. until than remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
