Warm Toned Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How are you doing this day/night? Great I hope. I’m feeling a bit stronger today. Still have heaps of pain, as I always will with Fibromyalgia , but I have a bit more energy today and that’s a great thing. Before I forget …. HAPPY NATIONAL LASH DAY!!! Well, let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

Base: I primed the face using NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer ($16 at Ulta). I color corrected using Believe Beauty Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer ($4 at Dollar General) in the shade Light/Medium. For my foundation today I have a mix of 2 pumps Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora) in the shade Dew You and 4 pumps ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer ($14 on their website) in the shade Medium 10N. I concealed my under eyes using Milani Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade 03 Medium Light. I set the whole face using Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder ($5 at Dollar General) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up the face using Milani Baked Bronzer ($8.99 on their website) in the shade 09 Dolce. I then used the Too Faced Turn Up the Light Palette ($42 at Ulta) in Soft Focus as finishing powder.

Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and then I set that using more of the Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder. For today’s eye look I used the Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Palette Vol. 1 ($48 on the Tati Beauty website). For my transition shade I used the color Soothe Matte (a camel matte). For my crease color I used a combo of the shades Aura Matte (a vanilla matte), Story Matte (a burnt orange matte), and Ritual Matte (a rich chocolate matte). I also took this color combo onto the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid. I then moved to work on my mobile lid. I took the shade Soothe Metallic (a warm champagne gold shimmer metallic) onto the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid. I took the shade Ritual Metallic (a chocolate bronze shimmer metallic) onto the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I used the shade Aura Metallic (a  champagne shimmer metallic) on the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then went in with the shade Story Metallic (a bright nectarine with gold shimmer metallic) onto the middle of the middle 1/3 and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend all the shade together. I then went in with more of the shade Ritual Matte (a rich chocolate matte) to deepen up the outer v and the outer most part of the mobile lid. For my drop shadow I first used the shade Soothe Matte (a camel matte) and then I went into the shade Story Matte (a burnt orange matte) to blow the drop shadow out a bit and then I went in closest to my lash line using the more of the shade Ritual Matte (a rich chocolate matte). I highlighted the inner corners using more of the shade Aura Metallic (a  champagne shimmer metallic) and then used a tiny bit of the Dazzle shade from the Too Faced Turn Up the Light Palette ($42 at Ulta). I lined my lower waterlines using BH Cosmetics Power Pencil ($8 at Ulta and on their website) in the shade Beige and tight lined the upper lash line using BH Cosmetics Power Pencil ($8 at Ulta and on their website) in the shade Black. I Set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and filled in my brows using Loreal Brow Stylist Definer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brunette. I carved out my brows using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then I set it using Aura Matte (a vanilla matte). Since it’s National Lash Day I decided to go a tiny bit bolder for my falsies today. I put on a pair of Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes ($5.99) in the style Little Black Dress. I then created a bold wing liner using Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($22 at Ulta) in the shade Intense Black. I then used Milani Dangerous Lengths Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta) in the shade black on my top and bottom lashes.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am wearing Revolution Beauty Blusher Reloaded ($7 at Ulta) in the shade Rhubarb & Custard (a pinky coral matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, Cupid’s Bow, and center of my forehead using Too Faced Turn Up the Light Palette ($42 at Ulta) in the Glow shade. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade BFF 3 (deep nude) and filled in the lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix () in the shade Grunge (a mid-toned red brown matte).

Final Thoughts:

NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer: A+++!!!!                                                                       I’ve had this primer in my collection a long while and never opened it. I saw it on a YouTube video last night and thought I’d give it a try. This primer is amazing!!! It evened out my face so perfectly. It blurred my pores and fine lines, it created a smooth canvas for my to apply foundation on. I’m so glad I tried it. This is one that once I have finished it up and will definitely be repurchasing it.

Milani Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer: A++                                                              This concealer is light weight and serum like, but it covers very well. It doesn’t crease on me. It does however oxidize just a little bit. I think if I were to repurchase it I would have to pick it up in the shade light. The shade I have is my exact shade match and I tend to like a brighter under eye area.

BH Cosmetics Power Pencil: A+++!!!!                                                                                      Here’s another pencil that sets down on my waterlines. There is no tugging or skipping. It sets firmly so there isn’t any smudging and it lasts all day. I’ve already purchased back ups in both the beige and black shades.

Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes:A+++!!!!                                                                       These lashes are so pretty! They have a cute little flair on the outer side that elongates the eyes. The band is the perfect thickness, and the sides do not pinch my eye line. I also did not need to cut these lashes to fit.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
