Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I feel so much better today. My pain level is around a 5 and I have a bit more energy today. I finally got a full night’s sleep and woke around 7 am. Well, let’s dive into this Face of the Day ….
Base: I primed my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Primer ($12 on their website). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium. For foundation today I am using 2 pumps Becca Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) and 1 pump Private Society Drops of Perfection ($30 on their website) in the shade Medium. I concealed my under eyes using Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (being discontinued so shades are limited on their website) in the shade Med-Light Neutral. I warmed up the face using Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel ($50 on their website) in the shade Bronze Universal. I set whole face using Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Setting Powder ($5 at Dollar General) in the shade Translucent. I slightly baked my jaw line and forehead using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).
Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and then I set that using more of the Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Setting Powder. I used 2 palettes today to complete this eye look. Mostly I used the BH Cosmetics Ultimate Matte 42 Color Shadow Palette ($28 on their website) and then I went in and used the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In a Palette ($75 on the Beautylish website). For my transition shade I used the 4th shade of the 2nd row of the BH palette (a soft camel tan matte). For my 2nd transition shade I used a combo of the 2nd shade of the 4th row (a mid-toned peach matte) and the 3rd shade of the 4th row (a mid-toned dusty brow matte). To deepen the crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the Smoke shade from the Charlotte Tilbury palette (a mid-toned burgundy matte). I then used the Brighten shade (a taupe shimmer) from the same palette on the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid and then went into the Enhance shade (a bronze shimmer) for the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then went into the bronzer in the same palette and placed that on the middle 1/3 to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. I then created a drop shadow on the lower lash line using the 6th shade of the 6th row of the BH palette (a deep raspberry matte) and then I deepened the lower lash line using the 6th shade of the 5th row (a deep dusty brown matte) and then I took what was left on my 1st transition shade brush and buffed the lower lash line out. I then went into a combo of the 7th shade of the 6th row (a dusty black matte) and the 6th shade of the 5th row (a deep dusty brown matte) and deepened the outer v. I highlighted the inner corners using more of the Brighten shade from the Charlotte Tilbury palette and then layered a bit of Urban Decay Single Shadow ($22 at Ulta) in the shade Urban Cowboy over top of that. I then lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (a rose gold metallic) and then layered the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Joy Ride (a deepened burgundy). I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and filled in my brows using Loreal Brow Stylist Definer ($7.99 at Target) in the shade Dark Brunette. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that with the 1st shade of the 3rd row (a creamy vanilla matte). I put on a pair of KoKo Queen B lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) and then used MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara ($20 at Ulta and MAC) on my lower and upper lashes. I tight lined the upper lash line using ColourPop Creme Gel Colour ($7 on their website) in the shade Swerve (a deep black).
Cheeks and Lips: For blush I used the blush shade from the Charlotte Tilbury palette (a dusty mauve satin). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s Bow, and center of my forehead using ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Pearlized ($9 but on slae for 6.75 on their website) in the Disney Designer Color A Smile and a Song (light gold). I then used the Soft Focus powder from the Too Faced Turn Up the Light Palette ($42 at Ulta) as a finishing powder. I lined my lips using Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Pillow Talk and filled in my lips using Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34 at Sephora) in also the shade Pillow Talk.
ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Primer: A++ This is a very moisturizing primer. It does nothing to blur the texture of the face, but it does help grip the foundation. It doesn’t have a scent to it either. It’s a nice primer but I am not sure if it will be a repurchase for me or not.
Private Society Drops of Perfection: A+++!!! This is a great foundation. Very pretty on the face. It’s a dewy foundation. The only set back is the shade is a bit dark for me. The shade bellow it is too light for me. But I make it work.
ColourPop Creme Gel Colour: A++ This gel liner is very creamy and super pigmented. It went on without skipping or tugging and set down on the waterline nicely. I’ve ordered it in 2 more shades, a brown and a white.
Well that’s all dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Stay tuned later today for another Makeup Haul post and as always, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
