Hey doll hey!! How’s your day going? Great I hope. I woke up early today, couldn’t sleep well because my body hurt so bad…. I guess I over did it whilst I was cleaning yesterday. I decided to play with the new Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Complexion Inspired Eye Shadow Palette ($45 at Ulta), while my eye liner came out wonky I think this eye look came out stunning. So let’s get into the Face of the Day ….
Base: I primed my face using Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer ($7.99 at Ulta). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light/Medium. For foundation I used 3 pumps of Benefit Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation ($30 at Ulta) in the shade 4 Medium Neutral mixed with 2 droppers of the Catrice Cosmetics Light Correcting Serum Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade Candlelight. I concealed my under eyes using ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer ($6 on their website) in the shade Light Sand. I set my full face using Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up the face using Benefit Hoola Bronzer ($30 at Ulta). I baked the center of my forehead using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).
Eyes: I primed the lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set them using RCMA No Color Powder. For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Complexion Inspired Eye Shadow Palette ($45 at Ulta). For my transition shade I used the color Seashell (a soft peach matte). For my crease shade I chose the color Cocoa (a dusty mauvey brown matte). To deepen my outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I used the color Truffle (a deep brown matte). On the inner 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the color Rose Gold (a rose gold sparkle). I then went into the color Sparkling Sand (a rose gold metallic) onto the middle 1/3 of the lid to blend my inner and outer 1/3. On the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Seashell. I then buffed that out using more of the color Cocoa and deepened the lower lash line using more of the color Truffle. I highlighted the inner corners using the shade Shimmering Snow (a pure white with a gold flip sparkle). I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear. I filled in my brows using Loreal Brow Stylist Definer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brunette. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then set that using the shade Swan (a vanilla matte). I lined the lower waterlines using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade As If (a creamy pale nude). I tight lined the upper waterlines using Milani Stay Put Waterproof Eyeliner ($7.99 at Ulta) in the shade 01 Linked On Black (a deep black). I created a dramatic wing using Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($22 at Ulta) in the shade Intense Black. I put on a pair of Koko Queen B Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) and then I used Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta) on the upper and lower lashes.
Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am wearing Burt’s Bees Blush ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade Bare Peach. I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s Bow, and center of my forehead using Benefit Box Highlighter ($30 at Ulta) in the shade Cookie. I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Another Round (a rosey nude) and topped the lips off using Loreal Rouge Signature Matte Lip Stain ($11.99 at Ulta) in the shade 418 I Empower (a pale peach).
Final Thoughts:
Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Palette: A++ The first thing I noticed is that the shade are a bit darker on the lids than they are in the pan. The mattes are buttery but the pans are firm. There was kick back in the pans but there was no fall out on the face for the mattes. The shimmers, metallics, and sparkles a smooth and highly pigmented. There is little kick back in the pans but there was tons of fallout on the face, especially with the sparkle shadows. All of the shades blended well and buffed into each other without losing pigmentation and without going muddy. The only shade I had difficulty with was Sparkling Snow… this shade is very chunky and doesn’t apply as well as it swatches. All in all this is a really great palette and I’m happy to have it part of my collection.
ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer: A+++!!! OH MY SWEET BABY PICKLES!!!!! I normally steer clear of hyped up makeup, but I figured I’d give it a try since I decluttered all my other ELF concealers. WOW!! This concealer is amazing!! It does oxidize so you need to set it immediately after applying it, but it looks so pretty under the eyes. I would repurchase this one if I ran out.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner: A++ I am loving this liquid eyeliner. I normally don’t get along with felt tip liners but this one just works so well. I did notice that when you try to layer it the liner gets a little crunchy but it doesn’t flake or crack up. I will definitely use this one up but I am not sure if I will repurchase this one in the future.
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
I love nude makeup looks too and I’m a sucker for cut creases
