Hey doll hey!!! How are you doing today? Great I hope. I’m feeling OK today. Pain level is around 6 and my energy is doing pretty good today. Today I was testing to see if I be keeping the Pixi by Petra Hello Beautiful Face Case ($24 at Target and on the Pixi website) in the color way Hello L.A. Angel. I really do like this palette and have decided to keep it. I thought I might declutter it because I haven’t really reached for it, so I am going to move it to my vanity so that I can play with it more. Well, let’s get into this Face of the Day ….
Base: I primed my face using NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer ($16 at Ulta). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light/Medium. For my foundation I used a combo of 3 droppers of Catrice Light Correcting Serum Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade Candlelight and 4 pumps of Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup (being discontinued) in the shade 4.0. I concealed my under eyes using ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer ($6 on their website and at Ulta) in the shade Light Sand. I set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC) in the shade Matte Bronze. I did not bake today because I wanted a softer over all face look today.
Eyes: I primed the lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard. For today’s eye look I used the Pixi by Petra Hello Beautiful Face Case ($24 at Target and on the Pixi website) in the color way Hello L.A. Angel. For my 1st transition shade I used the bronzer from this palette called Natural. My 2nd transition shade is the color Earth (a deep terracotta matte). I deepened my crease using the shade Board Walk (a mid-toned deep brown matte). I also brought this color onto the outer 1/3 of of my mobile lid. On the middle 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the color Shade (a bronze metallic) and on the inner 1/3 I used the shade Free (a taupe with bronze flip metallic). I then deepened my outer v using the shade L.A. Night (a dusty black matte). On my bottom lash line I used more of the bronze shade called Natural and then I layered more of Earth over that. I highlighted my inner corners using the shade Sunny (a white with a yellow gold flip metallic). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and filled in my brows using Loreal Brow Stylist Definer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brunette. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and set that using the shade Clean (a mid-toned vanilla matte). I put on a pair of Ardell Natural Lash 110 ($3.49 at Ulta) and applied Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta) to my top and bottom lashes. I then lined the inner corner of my upper lash line to camouflage my lash band.
Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am wearing MAC Powder Blush ($25 at Ulta and MAC) in the shade Pinch O’ Peach (a soft peachy coral matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, Cupid’s bow, and center of my forehead using the Rachh Loves + Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 on their website and at Target) choosing the shade Clutch (a white gold). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Oh Sis (smoked paprika) and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Topanga (a dusty coral).
Final Thoughts:
Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder: A+++!!! This loose powder has stolen my heart! I go on record in saying that it’s better than my beloved Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder!!! It gives this beautiful soft focus glow to the skin that is just heaven!! I have ordered a back up because I’m afraid they may try and discontinue it.
Pixi by Petra Hello Beautiful Face Case: A+ This is a great little all-in-1 palette. The shadows do have some kick back in the pans and I did notice with the darker shades there was fall out on the face, but with that said these shadows blend like a dream and do muddy up when buffing them into one another. I am half tempted to purchase the other color way of this palette line.
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
