Teal Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a good day/night. Sorry I’m so late with my post today. I had the worst time trying to get my makeup done today. I had to start all over 4 times, literally, before I got the look I was trying for… first my eye shadow wouldn’t come together right, then my foundation pilled up over the primer I tried, then my cut creases wouldn’t even out, and finally my makeup came together…. So I only just finished my makeup 1/2 hour ago….it’s now 4:30 as I am writing this post.  I am now out of energy and so fed up that I almost just gave up on doing makeup today. Thankfully I have the worlds most supportive husband and he encouraged me to keep trying. I got a ton of glue stuck to my falsies, so please excuse the fact that is quite visible and let’s just ignore the brows today all together…. they gave me the worst time today. Well let’s get into this Face of the Day ….

Base: I primed my face using Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer ($7.99 at Ulta). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light/Medium. For foundation today I used a combo of 1 squeeze of Wet n Wild Photofocus Dewy Face Primer ($5.99 at Ulta) and 2 pumps of Pixi Flawless Beauty Fluid (discontinued) in the shade No. 3 Warm. I concealed my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Pat Away Concealing Base ($16 at Target) in the shade Nude. I set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent and warmed up my face using J Cat Beauty Golden Soleil Baked Bronzer ($7.99 at Ulta) in the shade 103 Cancun Golden Tan. I lightly baked my jaw line, center of the forehead, and sides of my nose with RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set it with more of the RCMA No Color Powder. For today’s eye look I used the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette ($49 at Ulta). For my 1st transition shade I used the color Weekender (light neutral beige matte). For my crease shade I used a combo of the colors Still Shot (bright peach) and Riff (brown-nude matte). I also took this combo down to the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid. I deepened the outer v using a combo of Riff (brown-nude matte) and Good As Gone (deep brown with iridescent micro-shimmer). On the middle 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Radio (deep emerald satin). On the inner 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Big Sky (frosted green shimmer with iridescent micro-sparkle). I then took the shade Wanderlust (forest green with gold micro-shimmer) and placed that on the middle of the outer and middle 1/3 to further blend the shades together. On the lower lash line I created a soft drop shadow using what was left on the brushes I used on my upper lids. I highlighted the inner corners using the shade Stranded (pale rose gold with tonal micro-shimmer). I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at the Dollar General) in clear and filled in my brows using Loreal Brow Stylist Definer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brunette. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that with the shade Break Away (warm ivory shimmer).  I put on a paid of Koko Queen B lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) and lined the inner corner of my eyes to subtly hide the lash band using Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($22 at Ulta) in the shade Intense Black. I then lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade ALT (blackened teal). I used the ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara ($8 on their website) in the shade Black on Black to coat my upper and lower lashes.

Final Thoughts:

Urban Decay Born to Run Palette: A++                                                                                             I really truly love this palette! I never play with the shades that aren’t neutral so I have decided to try and use it more but focusing on the other colors. What I have learned is that the deeper shades have tons of fallout on the face. All the shades have kick back in the pans but only the darker shades have fall out. I am really glad that I decided to keep this palette when I did my declutter last month.

ColourPop Lippie Stix in the shade Little Things: A+++!!!!                                                      OM GOODNESS!!!! This is the prettiest Mauvey Pink I have ever tried!! It’s one of those effortlessly magical lipsticks. It wears down and fades evenly and it does not travel outside the lip line. I ordered a back up of this lipstick because I just know I will be reaching for this one a ton.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope that you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
