Vampy Eyed Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. Sorry that this post is so late today, I had to redo my makeup 2 times, I’m not used to working with dark greys and blacks on my eyes so the first 2 attempts left me looking like a raccoon,  and then I had some errands to run and I needed to rest a bit because my spoons got really low today. But better late than never right? I felt like doing a vampy eye look today so this is what I came up with.  Well, let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

Base: I primed my skin using Believe Beauty Pretty and Primed Hydrating Primer ($5 at Dollar General) and I prepped my pores using ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta). I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. For my foundation today I used a combo of 3 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) and 4 pumps of Revolution Beauty Conceal & Hydrate Radiance Foundation ($12 at Ulta but the shade I use can only be purchased through their website it’s not sold at Ulta) in the shade F 5.7. I concealed my under eyes using Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer ($5.99 at Ulta) in the shade 005 Light Natural. I set my whole face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel ($50 on their website) in the shade Bronze Universal. I lightly baked the center of my forehead and bridge and sides of my nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

Eyes: I primed the lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using more of the RCMA No Color Powder. For today’s eye look I used the Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette ($39 at Sephora and on the KVD website). For my transition shade I used the color Lazarus (cool taupe matte). For my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid  shade I used the color Saleos (smoky brown matte). I then used more of the NARS Soft Matte concealer to cut my mobile lid space out. I then set that cut mobile lid using the color Liberatus (pinkish ivory matte) and then layered Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Fairytale (an icy white with silver flip). I created a soft drop shadow on the lower lash line using more of the shade Saleos. I highlighted my inner corners using Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Honeydew (an icy pale pink with a purple flip). I then deepened my outer v and outer 1/3 of my mobile lid using the shade Shax (jet black matte). I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and filled in my brows using NYX Micro Brow Pencil ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Espresso. I carved out my brow lines using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and set that using more of the shade Liberatus. I tight lined my upper and lower waterlines using ColourPop Creme Gel Colour ($7 on their website) in the shade Swere (true onyx black). I then used more of the shade Shax to deepen my lower lash line very close to the lashes. I popped on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style Queen B and then I used the NYX On the Rise Volume Liftscara ($7.70 at Ulta) in the shade Black on both my upper and lower lashes.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush and highlight I used the Believe Beauty Get Glowing Highlight and Contour Palette ($5 at Dollar General)  in the color way Light/Medium. The blush is a soft coral satin and the highlight is a golden shade. I highlighted my Cupid’s bow, center of my forehead, tops of my cheeks, and bridge of my nose. I lined my lips with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Pillow Talk and filled in the lips using the coordinating Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34 at Sephora) also in the shade Pillow Talk.

Final Thoughts: Man was this look hard to put together. I do not typically gravitate to such a vampy look, but it was fun to do and the look came out so beautiful. I decided to go for this look because I realized that I had never used any of the shades in the middle quad of this palette. I think it might have been fun to use a bold red lip but I was running short on time to run my errands so I didn’t have the time it takes to apply a bold red lip correctly so I opted for a neutral pink lip instead. I ran to Dollar General to pick up a back up of the Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel…. they were out of clear so I chose Dark Brown (hoping that works the same as the clear does and that it isn’t going to be messy…. I’ll keep you posted.). By the time I was do running around doing everything I needed to I was out of energy and extremely hungry, so we opted to get Chili’s carryout….

This was such a great dinner. I didn’t eat all the Texas Fries but I did eat the whole steak and all the Asparagus.

Well, that’s all for now dolls. Stay tuned for a bonus post today…. I have found a better and cheaper alternative to the Beauty Blender. Also, tomorrow is makeup brush cleaning day, so I might not have a Face of the Day post for you, if I do manage to wake up early enough to get some makeup in, it will be a very simple makeup look. Until next time dolls…. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember, save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
