Hey doll hey!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I woke up feeling better mentally than I was yesterday…. stiff from the fibromyalgia, but mentally stronger. I had wanted to do a glam cut crease look but failed at it 3 times today, so i just chose a soft glam look to do instead…. that’s the great thing about makeup …. you can always start again …. and I love to try and push myself to learn new techniques and looks…. all in all I am pretty pleased with today’s look. I love this bright pop of pink that this lippie is giving me. Well on to the Face of the Day and scent of the day ….

Base: I primed my face using Dr. Brant Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer ($45 at Ulta). I patted color corrected into the inner and outer areas of my under eyes and then gently patted it toward the middle of my under eyes using Believe Beauty Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer ($4 at Dollar General) in the shade Light/Medium. For foundation today I am wearing a 3 ingredient combo … 2 drops of Catrice Light Correcting Serum Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade Candlelight, 3 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filiter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora), and 4 pumps of Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Coverage Foundation ($64 at Sephora) in the shade 5.5. To conceal I used 5 dots for each eye of Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade No. 3. I set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using NYX Matte Bronzer ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Deep Tan.
Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Waterproof Powder () in the shade Transparent (I also chose this powder as my touch up powder for today). For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Complexion Inspired Eye Shadow Palette ($45 at Ulta and Sephora). I started with the shade Maple (warm caramel brown matte) as my transition shade. I then moved to my mobile lid and used the shade Sparkling Sand (rose taupe metallic) all over the lid. I then took a combo of the shades Cocoa (medium chocolate brown matte) and Truffle (deep rich brown matte) and packed that into the outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and blended it out into a cat eye point. I then took the shade Sugared Chestnut (golden brown metallic) and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then took more of the shade Maple (warm caramel brown matte) along the lower lash line in a drop shadow and then added the shade Truffle (deep rich brown matte) along the lash line. I lined my lower waterlines using L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Eye Liner ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade nude. I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using the brow pencil from the Profusion Good Brow Day 2pc Kit ($8 on their website) in the color dark brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the shade Swan (eggshell matte). I popped on a pair of lashes (I am not sure which style these are I had them in my eyelash travel case) and coated both my upper and lower lashes with Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade Blackest Black.
Cheeks and Lips: On my cheeks today I am wearing The Balm Long-wearing Blush ($21 on their website) in the color Balm Beach (warm, neutral pink satin matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, center of my chin, Cupid’s bow, bridge of the nose, and center high points of my brows using Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Complexion-Enhancing Highlight Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light colorway and using the Glow shade. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Ex-Factor (bright berry) and filled in the lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Songbird (muted berry matte).
Final Thoughts: What a difference a good nights sleep can give. I still feel a tiny bit out of sorts but I am feeling a heap better than I was yesterday.
I normally just find the Giorgio Armani Power Fabric foundation OK. I don’t dislike it and I don’t love it…. but paired with the 2 glow products I used today I am in love with it. It looked so flawless and so dewy. Normally it is matte and I think that’s why I haven’t fallen in love with it before today. Now that I know how well it pairs with glow products I am probably going to be using this one more.
I think I might have used too much eye cream last night because I woke up with 3 bumps on my left eyebrow that were a bit tough to blend eye shadow over. If it wasn’t from the eye cream I am thinking it might be bumps from shaving my brow line yesterday…. I really don’t know what to do to get rid of it which is kinda frustrating.
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope that you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Until tomorrow dolls. Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
That fragrance is top notch quality. It develops and grows during the day, the longevity is stunning, the bottle design is elegant and beautiful, and, despite what so many people say, isn’t sugary sweet. It’s truly ‘grown-up sophistication’! I have a 30ml bottle of it as well and love it!

Yep, exactly! It’s not ‘Pink Sugar’ by Aquolina that smells pretty much same from start to finish. Nothing against ‘Pink Sugar’ – it’s great in its own way too, but La Vie Est Belle has a lot of dimension to it, which gives it that grown-up sophisticated feel.
