Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up super early today… like 5 AM early. I had a 7 AM doctor’s appointment and had to beat rush hour traffic. I’m feeling OK today. My mood has improved and my energy levels are pretty good. I have some considerable pain but c’est la vie right? So today I didn’t really know what type of look I wanted to do, the only thing I knew was I wanted to play around with the palette I used yesterday again…. so Let’s jump into this Face of the Day and featured scent….

Base: I primed my face using Makeup Forever Step-1 Primer ($37 at Sephora). I color corrected very lightly in the inner and outer edges of my under eyes using Believe Beauty Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer ($4 at Dollar General) in the shade Light/Medium. My foundation combo for the day is 4 droppers of Catrice Light Correcting Serum Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade Candlelight, 4 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filiter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora), and 5 pumps of Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H Longwear Foundation ($47 at Ulta) in the 270 Bisque W. I used 4 dots of Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade No. 3 on my under eyes and then set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up the face using NYX Matte Bronzer ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Deep Tan.
Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Waterproof Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade Transparent (I also chose this powder as my touch up powder for today). For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Complexion Inspired Eye Shadow Palette ($45 at Ulta and Sephora). As my transition shade I used the color Maple (warm caramel brown matte). For my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid shade I used more of the NYX Matte Bronzer ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Deep Tan. I then took the shade Glistening Snow (icy white with a gold flip metallic) on the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid. I then took a combo of the shades Maple (warm caramel brown matte) and Truffle (deep rich brown matte) to deepen the outer v and half way on the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids. I then took the shade Sugared Chestnut (golden brown metallic) onto the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3. I then took the shade Maple (warm caramel brown matte) onto my lower lash line and created a drop shadow. I deepened up my lash line further with more of the bronzer. I lined my lower waterlines using L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Eye Liner ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade nude. I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using the brow pencil from the Profusion Good Brow Day 2pc Kit ($8 on their website) in the color dark brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the shade Swan (eggshell matte). I popped on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style Queen B and coated both my upper and lower lashes with Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade Blackest Black. I then lined the very inner corners of my mobile lids to hid the lash band of my falsies using Physicals Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum ($11.49 at Ulta) in the shade Ultra Black.
Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am wearing The Balm Blush ($21 on their website) in Frat Boy (a coral pink satin). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, Cupid’s bow, Bridge of the nose, and high points above my brows using Benefit Highlighter ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Cookie (golden-pearl). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Brink (terracota rose) and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade After Shock (classic pink matte).
Final Thoughts: I really am loving this Too Faced Palette. The shades are flattering on any skin tone…. the shadows are buttery smooth and highly pigmented. There is very little kick back in the pans and zero fall out on the face with the matte shades…. some of the metallic shades do get glitter fallout, but they are so pretty that I don’t mind having to do some clean up. I particularly love the shade Maple. In fact I just know tomorrow I will be dipping into this shade again…. I just can’t help myself.
I have been loving combining glow drops with foundation and finding new concoctions to bring my foundation stash to life. I have been loving the way the skin looks so much that I just don’t even want to bake my jaw line anymore just to keep that dewy look alive.
These lashes are on their last leg and that’s why they don’t look like they are both the same lash style …. I just figured I would use them 1 last time before throwing them in the bin.
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Until tomorrow…. remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
