Spring Vibes Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I got up super early today. Around 6 AM. Hubby had an early day at work today and his alarm woke me up and so I decided just to stay up. I wanted to be up early today anyway so I can try and snag the new ColourPop launch of the Making Mauves collection. I just wanted the palette and both blushes …. and I was able to purchase them right on time today so I’m super excited. I didn’t know what kind of look I wanted to do today so I just chose the colors organically…. so let’s jump into this Face and Scent of the Day ….

VersaceRedJeansWomen1
Today I chose Versace Red jeans…. this used to be my signature scent when I was in my 20’s and I recently rediscovered it. I purchased mine through fragrancenet.com for $18 for 2.5 fluid ounces. The top notes are: Peach, Apricot, Freesia, and Black Currant. The middle notes are: Lily-of-the-Valley, Violet,  Water Lily, and Rose. The perfume is rounded out with bottom notes of: Sandalwood, Musk, and Vanilla. This has a very floral scent that is super feminine and free spirited.

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using I primed my face using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Primer (Discontinued). For foundation I am using a combo of 2 pumps of Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora) in the shade Dew you? and 3 pumps of Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Foundation ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 41NN (light-medium neutral with a neutral undertone). I color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. I concealed my under eyes using L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) in the shade 360 Cashmere. I set my full face using Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder ($5 at Dollar General) in the shade Translucent and warmed up my face using the deeper bronzer in the Catrice Cosmetics California In A Box ($14.99 at Ulta) in the color way 010 Malibu Beach.

excuse the extra glue on my lash line…. I thought I had covered it up.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website) For today’s eye look I used the 12 pan palette I created through ColourPop ($24 for 12 shades and 1 z palette). For my transition shade I used the color Wake Up Call (a warm sand matte). I deepened the outer v and the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid using the shade Feathered (a rich chocolate brown matte). on the inner 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Party Favors (peach with a gold flip duochrome). I then took the shade Criss Cross (a  brick orange matte *** DISCONTINUED SHADE ***) and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 at Ulta and on the ELF website) in the shade Deep Brown and then I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the shade Hear Me Out (a white peach matte). I used more of the shade Criss Cross on the lower lash line and then darkened the lower lash line using more of the shade Feathered. I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (a rose gold metallic). I popped on a pair of Ardell lashes ($4 at Ulta) in a style I can’t remember … I just remember that these are Ardell lashes and coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).  I then highlighted the inner corners using Urban Decay Single Eye Shadow ($20 at Ulta) in the shade Midnight Cowboy (an icy pink with silver reflect).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                               For blush today I am wearing a combo of both the blushes from the Catrice Cosmetics California In A Box ($14.99 at Ulta) in the color way 010 Malibu Beach and also used the highlighter from this same palette to highlight the tops of my cheeks, high points of my brow bone, Cupid’s Bow, and bridge of the nose. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Love Bug (a  rich mahogany) and filled in my lips using ColourPop Creme Lux Lipstick  ($8 on their website but this color is discontinued) in the shade Better Off (a mid-toned copper satin).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I am so very excited to be getting the new ColourPop palette and blushes, I can’t wait for them to get here. The Making Mauves palette retails for $14 but I used a YouTuber’s discount code and only had to pay $ 12.60 and each blush retails for $8 but with the same discount code I got them each for $7.

My eyebrows are so bold today …. I really tried to tone them down and they just kept getting bold…. so I ran with it.

I’m finally feeling healed mentally again…. that was a pretty long bi-polar episode. I think it was because they changed my medication again and my body just needed time to adjust.

Today I feel stronger…. not as much pain and for the first time in over 6 months I feel like I have an endless supply of energy…. I just have to remind myself not to over do myself.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember…. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
