Quick and Simple Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? I hope it’s going great and that you are in good health and spirits. I woke up a bit late today. I got up around 8:30 AM. Tried to sleep in as long as I could because I’m still feeling sick. I think I might have caught the Flu. But at least my fever is gone now. Since I’m still feeling sick I decided to go with one of my everyday go to looks… just quick and simple. So let’s jump into today’s scent and Face of the Day ….

Today I’m wearing Estee Lauder Pleasures. I needed a scent that was not to over powering or heavy since I’m feeling sick today. I purchased mine at a Macy’s perfume counter for $90 for 3.4 fluid ounces.  The top notes are: White Lily, Violet Leaves, and Green Accents. The middle notes are: Black Lilac, White Peony, Karo-Karounde Blossoms, Baie Rose, Pink Rose, and Jasmine. The scent is rounded out with base notes of: Sandalwood and Patchouli.
Here we go again…. there is Patchouli in this fragrance and yet I freaking love this perfume…. I’m beginning to think it’s not Patchouli that I don’t like… or perhaps it’s where in the scent makeup that Patchouli lands that makes a difference…. all I know is that I love this perfume. This is a sheer flowery scent. Very feminine and very crisp.

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer (). My foundation today is a combo of 2 pumps Catrice Cosmetics Light Correcting Serum Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade Candlelight, 3 pumps of the Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer ($14.39 at Walgreens) in the shade Glow, and 4 pumps of Too Faced Born This Way Undetectable Medium to Full Coverage Foundation ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Warm Nude. I color corrected the inner and outer parts of my under eyes using  Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. I concealed my under eyes using Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer (I believe this concealer had been discontinued) in the shade Light/Medium.  I set my full face using  Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder ($5 at Dollar General) in the shade Translucent and warmed up my face using MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC) in the shade Matte Bronze. I over contoured my nose so I had to bake the sided of my nose to slim it out a bit… I used RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish Website).

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website) For today’s eye look I used the the Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Palette ($48 on her website). For my transition shade I used the color Soothe Matte (a camel). On the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and the outer v I used the shade Ritual Matte (a rich chocolate). On the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Soothe Metallic (a warm champagne gold) and then I layered the middle 1/3 with the shade Story Metallic (a  bright nectarine with gold reflect) to blend the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 at Ulta and on the ELF website) in the shade Deep Brown and then I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the shade Aura Matte (a vanilla). For my lower lash line I kept it simple and just buffed on a small amount of Soothe Matte. I lined my lower waterlines using L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade Nude. I popped on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style KoKo and coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).  I then highlighted the inner corners using the shade Aura Metallic (a champagne) and topped it with the Glow shade from the Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                               For blush today I am wearing Burt’s Bees Blush ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade 1205 Bare Peach.  I highlighted the tops of mu cheeks, Cupid’s Bow, bridge of the nose, and high points of my brows using the Glow shade from the Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora).  I then used the Soft Focus powder from the same palette to blur the skin a bit and buff all my products in together. I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Bumble (a warm rose) and filled in the lips using MAC Lipstick ($19 at Ulta and MAC) in the shade Kinda Sexy (a neutral pinky rose).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I am really sad that they have discontinued the Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer. This concealer looks amazing under the eyes. It give this radiant (as the name implies) glow to the under eyes. It does crease a bit so I do notice that I have to set my under eyes… pat the area and then add a bit more powder to keep it from creasing further. But I truly love this concealer so much.

This is the first time I have tried the KoKo lashes in the style KoKo. They are pretty. I did have to snip just the very outer part of the lashes to get them to fit but that’s normal for me to have to do. They did need to be modeled to cleaning stick to my lash line but once they were on they felt light and comfortable. Iwould totally repurchase these lashes.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and good spirits. Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
