Quick Beauty Haul

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I just wanted to pop in with a mini beauty haul. I received a few things I purchased from Amazon today and a new eyeshadow base that I purchased earlier this week.

I also have 2 ColourPop orders coming in the mail later this week and an order I placed on Joah Beauty’s website. (Joah Beauty is having a huge buy 1 get 1 half off sale that will last until the 30th of March. I purchased 25 products and only paid $20 including taxes and shipping.)

So let’s jump into this haul….

I purchased this Jamaican Black Castor Oil off Amazon for $9.99 After watching beauty blogger Anna Bankester on her YouTube talking about a similar product that she used to promote the growth of her eyebrows and eye lashes. She has great lashes and her brows are so full that I thought I definitely have to try this tip out. I’m going to start this tonight and will check back in with you every week to see how the performance goes. Basically what she said is that she uses with a disposable spoolie and combs it through her brow hair and lashes everyday. I plan on doing it as part of my night time routine. *** fingers crossed I hope to get great results ***

I purchased this foundation mixing palette and spatula off Amazon for $6.99. I have been using the back of a 3 wick candle lid to mix my foundations and glow drops together. The problem with this is it tends to get messy so I figured I would try an actual palette to see if it’s less messy.

I purchased 200 disposable mascara spoolies from Amazon for $6.99. I purchased them to use with the Black Castor Oil to try and get my brows and lashes to grow.

I have seen this eye shadow base all over YouTube. Everyone seems to like it better than any other lid primer. I have always used Tarte Shape Tape and NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer as my base but then I stumbled onto a YouTube Makeup Artist (who is also a makeup Artist in real life) named Robert Welsh who says that for a better eye shadow application the way to go is definitely using an actual eye shadow primer …. so I set out to research what were some of the best ones to use …. this one seems to be all the rage so I thought I’d give it a try….  It’s called P.Louise Base and it’s sold on her website here for 10 pound sterling which ends up being $12.26 in the US. It comes in 11 shades with 4 shades for deeper skin and 3 shades for fair skin and 4 shades for medium skin. It also is offered in metallic shades and matte vibrant shades as well.

The shade I chose is 0.5 it’s the second lightest shade in the line and I thought it would be good to have a lighter than my skin tone shade to make my shadows more vibrant. What I learned from swatching this product is that…. #1 a very little goes and very long way and #2 it’s a very thick consistency. It’s not so thick that it will end up being heavy on the lids, but it’s definitely thicker than the concealers I use to prime my lids now. I am going to try it out tomorrow.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Stay tuned later this week when I haul my 2 ColourPop orders and my Joah Beauty order.

I pray that all is well with you and that you are safe and protected during this stressful time we are going through.

I hope that you are in good spirits and that you have a great rest of your day/night.

Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
