Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m having trouble today. I feel very weak and had to stop a lot while doing my makeup today. My nose wont stop running, my throat is still very sore, my cough is driving my crazy, and I have the chills. I hate getting the Flu. I’m at a level 8 pain level today… I think that’s because since I’m sick my body is just out of sorts.
I wanted to practice halo eyes some more so I decided to do a halo eye today. I had to redo the eyes 3 times today …. I never go past a 4th attempt at something before I just abandon the idea and try something else so I was very pleased that I managed to get it on the 4th attempt. Well let’s jump into the scent and Face of the Day ….

Base: I primed my face using Believe Beauty Pretty and Primed Hydrating Primer ($5 at Dollar General). I then used Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) to fill in the pores on my cheeks and sides of the nose. My foundation today is a combo of 1 squeeze of Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Primer Hydrating Glow Primer ($22 at Target and on the Pixi Beauty website) and 1 dropper full of Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation ($10.99 at Ulta) in the shade 030 Sand Beige. I lightly color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target and on the Pixi Beauty website) in the shade Brightening Peach. I used 5 dots for each under eye of Revolution Beauty Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer ($7 at Ulta) in the shade C6.5. I set my full face using Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder ($5 at Dollar General) in the shade Translucent and warmed up my face using Benefit Hoola Bronzer ($30 at Ulta). For touch up powder today I am using Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder ($13.99 at Target) in the shade Beige L4-M1.
Eyes: I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and set that using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website) For today’s eye look I used the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette ($75 on their website and on the Beautylish website) in the color way Gorgeous, Glowing Beauty. I first used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer ($30 at Ulta) as my transition shade. I went in with the Smoke color from this palette (a deep berry matte) and packed it onto the inner and outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and then blended it out into the crease. I then used a tiny bit of the P.Louise Base to clean up the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid and packed on the Swish blush shade (a golden champagne satin) over top of that and then went in with the Brighten shade (a gold with a rose gold reflect shimmer). On my lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the Smoke shade and buffing it out with more of the bronzer. I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (a rose gold metallic). I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 4.5 and then I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and set the brow line using L’Oreal Infallible 24-HR Eye Shadow ($9.99 on their website) in the shade 899 Endless Pearl (a creamy vanilla matte).I popped on a pair of House of Lashes Falsies ($12 on their website) in the style Iconic and coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).
Cheeks and Lips: I used the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette ($75 on their website and on the Beautylish website) in the color way Gorgeous, Glowing Beauty for my blush and highlighter. The blush shade is called Pop (a rose with a gold sheen satin). The highlighter shade is a soft golden shade and I used it to highlight the tops of my cheeks, bridge of the nose, the high points of my brows, center of my chin, and Cupid’s Bow. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Obvi (a light pinkish brown) and filled in my lips using BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream ($8 at Ulta and on the BH Cosmetics website) in the shade YAS (light pinkish brown matte).
Final Thoughts: Just when I thought I was getting better I got worse. I don’t have a fever but everything else is acting up. My eyes are seriously watery which made it hard to get a good blend of the berry shade closer to my lash lines because the shadow would mix with my teary eyes and cause the shadow to go dark in color. My lashes wouldn’t stay down because my eyes were watery and then I finally got them down but couldn’t get them to blend seamlessly with my lashes…. My nose wont stop running so I have to touch up my nose often because I keep rubbing off the foundation around my nostrils. I’m seriously ready to be feeling better now. I hate getting the Flu and I feel like this Flu is angry and trying to stick around. I feel like crap and that makes me sad because for those who have the Covid-19 virus they have got to be feeling 100 times worse than me and I just can not imagine what they are going through. I pray that they get better fast and that the W.H.O. and the C.D.C. are able to find a vaccine quickly to help those effected heal.
Well, that’s all dolls. I hope that you are in good health and are safe. I hope that you have a good rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember…. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
