Neutral Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up early today but didn’t get out of bed until around 8:30 AM. My throat isn’t sore anymore but my nose is still running and my cough is still persistent. My body is killing me today. I’m at a pain level 8 today and I don’t have very much energy but at least my throat isn’t sore anymore. Well let’s jump into today’s scent and Face of the Day ….

I purchased this scent in a little perfume store when I lived in Lakeland Florida. This is a limited edition scent that is no longer being sold but can be found on Amazon. I think I paid $35 for a 3.4 fluid ounce bottle. This is a very simple sweet scent. the notes are violet, orchid, blackberry and rose . This is a floral scent with just a hint of sweetness to it. This is a scent that pairs well with anything you wear and does last a long while. I like it but not as much as I use to like it. I don’t reach for it as much as I use to and it’s not a scent that I wear on date nights.

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Flower Beauty In Your Prime Pore-Minimizing Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) and also Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) to blur my pores around my cheeks and nose. My foundation today is a combo of 2 pumps of Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora) in the shade Dew You? and 4 pumps of Benefit Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 4. I lightly color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target and on the Pixi Beauty website) in the shade Brightening Peach. I used 5 dots of L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) in the shade Cashmere. I set my full face using  Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder ($5 at Dollar General) in the shade Translucent and warmed up my face using ColourPop Pressed Bronzer ($8 on their website) in the shade Talk to the Palm. For touch up powder today I am using Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting the Tone Finishing Powder ($14.99 at Target) in the shade Light.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Going Coconuts Palette ($12 on their website). For my transition shade I used the color Coolada (cool taupe brown matte). For my crease I chose the shade Shell Yeah (neutral ginger brown matte). I deepened the outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using the shade Nutty (deep umber matte). For the remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Coco Crush (icy pale champagne metallic). I then went in with the shade Get Crackin’ (cool brown with silver flecks sequin) and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together.  For the bottom lash line I went in with more of the shade Coolada (cool taupe brown matte) to create a drop shadow and then went in with more of the shade Shell Yeah (neutral ginger brown matte) closest to the lash line. I highlighted my inner corners using Hikari Cosmetics Creme Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Honeydew (icy pink with silver flip).  I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49 at Ulta) in the shade 05 Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte sides and set the brow line using L’Oreal 24-HR Infallible Eyeshadow ($7.99 at Walmart) in the shade 899 Endless Pearl (a creamy vanilla matte). I popped on a pair Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes ($12 for 5 pairs at Ulta) in the style Flirty and coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                                For blush today I used the ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush ($8 on their website) in the shade Catch My Vibe (pale baby pink matte). I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, center of my chin, and high points of the brows using Jouer Powder Highlighter ($24 at Sephora) in the shade Citrine (Shimmering Gold).  I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($7 on their website) in the shade Curvii (warm beige) and filled in the lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Who Run This (rusty red matte).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I didn’t realize until I already posted the pictures that i had a random hair just hanging out on my chin …. sorry if this seems to be distracting. I decided to use a brow pomade today thinking it would help me fill in my brows faster but because I have new hair growth coming in on my arches and tails this proved a bit difficult. I have decided to forgo plucking my brows while I am growing them out so that I can reshape them once I’m ready to.

I have 1 more beauty shipment coming to me soon from K beauty brand Joah … however … it will not be a full face of products as I initially stated. I received an email that informed me that there was an error with their server and that my order actually came out to a lot more than the original price of $20 … so I chose to just pick up their concealer, dark circle corrector, brow pencil, eye liner,  setting powder, and eyeliner. I’ll review these products for you just as soon as I receive them.

Well that’s it for now dolls. Please stay safe. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and good spirits. Stay tuned today for another small beauty haul. Remember …. save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
