Brown Sugar Glam Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. My pain level is around a 6 (this is my baseline pain level… meaning that this is my typical pain level… I very seldom have a pain level lower than 5 or 6) and I have a moderate amount of energy today!! I woke up wanting to use my ColourPop Brown Sugar Palette (discontinued … was a limited edition palette). Today I am wearing YLS Mon Paris perfume today. Well … let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using L’Oreal Infallible Glow-Lock Illuminating Primer ($12.99 at Ulta) and then used a bit of Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Sephora) to blur my pores. For foundation today I used a combo of 3 drops each of NYX Pro Foundation Mixer (discontinued) in the shades Deep (a dark grey brown enhancer) and Warm (an orange based enhancer) and 2 droppers of Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Natural Finish Foundation Drop ($6.65 on their website) in the shade Natural Ivory (this shade is just about 1/2 a shade too light for me, that’s why I used the mixers). I color corrected my under eyes using Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Dark Circle Concealer ($8.50 on their website) in the shade Neutralizer. I used 4 dots of Joah Cosmetics  Wand Me Up Concealer ($6.50 on their website) in the shade Ivory. I set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola. For touch up powder today I am using Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Waterproof Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade transparent.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Brown Sugar Palette (discontinued … was a limited edition palette). For my Transition shade I used the color Jamoca (light medium orange based brown matte). I deepened the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and the crease and outer v using the shade Sorrel (medium dark brown with a hint of grey matte). For the remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Auburn (warm deep bronze metallic). I then used the shade Saute (taupe with a green shift metallic) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Jamoca (light medium orange based brown matte). I then used more of the Auburn (warm deep bronze metallic) on the inner 2/3 of the lower lash line. I highlighted my inner corners using the shade Ginger (a peachy gold metallic). I lined my water lines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I set my brows using the soap brow method and then filled in my brows using Joah Cosmetics Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($6.65 on their website) in the shade Black Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer sides and set the brow line using the shade L’Oreal 24-HR Infallible Eyeshadow ($7.99 at Walmart) in the shade 899 Endless Pearl (a creamy ivory matte). I popped on a paid of Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes ($11.99 for a 2 pack at Ulta) in the style Flirty and then I coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                                For blush tonight I chose ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush ($8 on their website) in the shade Catch My Vibe (pale baby pink matte).  I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, center of the chin, bridge of the nose, and high points of the brows using the Rachh Loves & Pixi Beauty The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target) and using a combo of the shades Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) and the shade Clutch (soft white yellow gold). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($7 on their website) in the shade Ellaire  (blackened cranberry) and topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Goldie (: rich brick red matte).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                   So I am still trying to figure out the way to use the Joah foundation since it’s so light on me… I still have to tweak it a bit… I think 1 less drop of deep and maybe 2 more drops of warm will do the tick … but so far the Joah foundation holds up to mix ins. I definitely think the white cast in yesterday’s pictures was from the powder … I have decluttered that powder from my collection.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope you are in good health and spirits and that you are hanging in there. Remember dolls …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
