Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Mine has been super productive! I got up at 7 AM and did my makeup, took my blog pictures, and made my family breakfast, and then sat down and knocked out some more face masks for 2 of my husband’s nieces and their families. 13 masks in total … I’m in a world of pain today so I had to take breaks in between so it basically took me all day to do, hence the reason I am so late getting my Face of the Day up….
Today I am wearing the perfume Versace Red Jeans. You will have to forgive the monstrosity that is my eyebrows today … they are large and in charge today. so let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….
Base: Today I primed my face using Benefit The Porefessional Hydrating Primer ($32 at Ulta and Sephora) and Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Sephora) around my pores. My foundation today is a combo of 7 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Sephora), 5 literal drops of L’Oreal True Match Lumi Glow Amour ($14.99 at Ulta) in the shade 507 Day Break, and 4 pumps of Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup (discontinued) in the shade 4. I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. I concealed my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Pat Away Concealer Base ($16 at Target) in the shade Nude. I set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola. For touch up powder today I am using Milani Conceal + Perfect Shine Proof Powder ($10.99 at Walgreens) in the shade 02 Nude.
Eyes: I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the Believe Beauty Eyeshadow Palette ($4.50 at Dollar General) in the color way Nearly Nude. For my transition shade I used more of the Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola. I defined my outer v and the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid using the 2nd shade of the 2nd row of the palette (a red based mid-tone brown matte). For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the 3rd shade of the 2nd row (a rose gold metallic) and then went into the 3rd shade of the 1st row (a deep antique bronze metallic) and tapped that onto the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. On the lower lash line I swept a small amount of the the Hoola bronzer on and then highlighted my inner corners using J Cat Beauty You Glow Girl Baked Highlighter ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade YGG 102 Twilight (a golden pearl). I lined my lower and upper waterlines using Charlotte Tilbury Eye Powder Pencil ($22 at Sephroa) in the shade The Classic (a dusty deep brown). I set my brows using the soap brow method and then filled in my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5 and then I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the 1st shade of the 1st row (vanilla matte). I coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).
Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am wearing Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush ($29 at Ulta) in the shade B-day Bae (light pinky nude matte). I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, center of the chin, bridge of the nose, and high points of the brows using the J Cat Beauty You Glow Girl Baked Highlighter ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade YGG 102 Twilight (a golden pearl). I lined and filled in my lips using Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Pillow Talk (a soft pink nude) and topped my lips off using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (only sold in their Big Box of Lippie Stix Vault on their website) in the shade With the Band (peachy pink matte).
Final Thoughts: So my greys are popping up in a very strong way …. I’m 46 so I expect to see grey here and there … but I really want to dye my hair. I’ve ordered Schwarzkopf Keratin Permanent Hair Color in the shade 4.6 Intense Cocoa from Amazon, I need 2 boxes but on Amazon we are limited to 1 box of hair dye so I ordered 2 more from Walgreens (I ordered 2 because it was buy 2 get 1 free and so now I will have enough color to do a touch up in a few months).
I may not be doing a Face of the Day post tomorrow… I want to dedicate as much time as I can to making face masks to distribute to our local Fire/EMT house and the local hospital …. so it really depends on what time I’m able to get out of bed tomorrow.
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are happy and healthy. Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
nice to see neutral looks, as I’ve been so focused on color palettes lately. nicely done 🙂

Thanks doll. I’ve been so busy making masks lately that I just keep doing my quick go to looks rather than my detailed work.
