“No Makeup” Makeup Look Face of the Day and Mini Product Review

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up around 8:30 AM but was in a world of pain for I decided that I would just do a “No Makeup” makeup look since it doesn’t take me long to do and it’s simple and I really need to rest my body so I don’t end up hurting worse. I also didn’t sleep very well so the lines under my eyes are very pronounced today … nothing I could do about that, well I could have done a Collagen eye mask treatment but I just don’t have the energy for the extra step today.

I will also be reviewing 2 new products in today’s Final Thoughts….

Today I’m wearing Versace Red Jeans perfume. Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day.

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($54 at Sephora) and just a tad bit of Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) around the pores of my cheek area. I used the slightest amount of Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 on the Beautylish website) in the shade #3 Light/Medium to give my skin that lit from within glow. For foundation today I am using Tarte Maracuja Tinted Hydrator ($29 at Ulta) in the shade 20N Light Neutral. I took this up under my eyes as well since it’s such a light weight product. I chose not to contour today since the base is so light weight I thought it might be too heavy to contour. I highlighted the high points of my face using  Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($39 on the Beautylish website). I then lightly concealed my under eyes using 5 of the tiniest dots of Tarte Creaseless Concealer ($26 at Ulta) in the shade 20N Light. I then set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I then warmed up the perimeter of my face using Tarte Limited Edition Park Ave Princess Waterproof Face & Body Bronzer ($34 at Ulta). I am using Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder ($13.99 at Ulta) in the shade L4-M1 Beige as my setting powder.

Eyes: Today                                                                                                                                             I started with my brows.  I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 4.5 and then I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and I also used a little of this to cut my brow line. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Bare Necessities Palette ($34 on their website). I took a combo of the shades On Holiday (soft beige matte) and Hustler (light peach matte) and used it all through my crease up to almost touching the brow bone. I then took the shade Full Expose (creamy vanilla matte) and used that on my brow bone. For my mobile lid I used a combo of the shades Idol Hour (warm ivory with a pale peach sheen metallic) and Rumored (silvery taupe metallic). For the lower lash line I first used the shade Complicated (warm rust brown with gold pinpoints sequin shadow) and then I went back over it with more of the shade On Holiday to mute the intensity. I highlighted my inner corners using Hikari Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Fairy Tale (icy white metallic). I coated my upper and lower lashes with 1 coat of Milani Dangerous Lengths Mascara ($9.99 at Ulta). I lined my upper and lower waterlines using Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Eye Powder Pencil ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Audrey (classic brown).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                            Once again I opted not to use a powder highlighter. I really have been enjoying this lit from within, skin like glow that I am getting from the Charlotte Tibury Beauty Light Wand. For blush today I am wearing Burt’s Bees Blush ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade Bare Peach (a nude peach satin). I lined my lips using NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Wipped Caviar (a reddish pink nude). I then topped my lips off with Il Makiage INFINITY LONG-WEAR MATTE LIP CREAM ($22 on their website) in the shade Gala (a dusty pink coral matte).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I think this look would have been a bit better if I would have not done the eye liner and maybe not have done the mascara on the bottom lashes. To me it’s looking very bottom heavy. I may have to test that theory out tomorrow if I wake up not feeling good. I do have other products to try so I hope to be feeling well enough to do a more substantial look.

Now on to the product review….

Tarte Maracuja Tinted Hydrator: Grade A+++!!!:                                                                                    This tinted moisturizer is so amazing! I finally found one that I like!! I liked it so much that placed another tube of it in my cart for next months beauty buys! It’s very light weight and also light coverage. It gives just enough coverage to even out the skin but your skin still shows through. There is no scent and it’s not too greasy (even with the Maracuja oil in it). It wears well throughout the day (it’s been 5 hours since I put it on and I have not had to touch up my face at all). It’s the perfect shade as well. I used my fingers to apply it, like a moisturizer. I can tell this is not the type of product you can apply with a sponge or a brush… you really do need to get in there and apply it with your fingers. I hope this is one that Tarte keeps around for a long time. I can already tell it will be a definite repurchase for me.

Tarte Creaseless Concealer: Graded A+++:                                                                                               This is an incredible concealer. Light weight and very skin like. It does need to be set with a powder, however I used only the slightest amount of powder and normally when I do that I still get creasing and I didn’t get creasing with this one). I think this maybe my new favorite concealer. It’s got great pigment and I didn’t use a color corrector or glow drops under my eyes and this concealer did a great job at brightening my under eyes.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and spirits. Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
