Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up early for a change. I’m not in as much pain today but my energy is still pretty low. I really hate days like this… this illness tends to zap all my peace away… but I didn’t let it take my happy time away from me … I stuck it out and was able to create a soft spring look for today.
Today’s scent is Burberry Britt perfume. Let’s jump right into today’s Face of the Day ….
Base:
I first primed my problematic pore areas with Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) and then primed the full face using Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer ($37 at Sephora) in Smoothing. I then went in with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3 Light Medium. My foundation today is L’Oreal Infallible 24-HR Fresh Wear Foundation ($14.99 at Ulta) in the shade 420 True Beige. I contoured using NYX Wonder Stick ($12 at Ulta) in the shade Medium. I highlighted the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of the nose, center of the chin, and high points of my forehead using Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand ($38 on the Beautylish website) and then I went in with just a touch of Benefit Boxed Highlighter ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade cookie to set the high points of my face. I concealed my under eyes using Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer ($32 at Sephora) in the shade 3 Fair. I warmed up the perimeter of my face using Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 on the Tarte website) in the shade Grace Bay (deep matte bronze). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 at Ulta) in the shade 1 and then set the rest of my face using the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I then topped off the perimeter of my face using a light layer of MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC) in the shade Matte Bronze. I chose the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder ($13.99 at Ulta) in the shade Beige L4-M1.
Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using Joah Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($9.50 on their website) in the shade Brunette. I carved out the brow line using BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop She’s Got Solstice Palette ($14 at Ulta and Ulta online only). I set the primed base using the shade Big Bang (pale baby pink matte). I then went in with the shade Nova (nude clay matte) all through the crease up to the brow line. I then took the shade Chromosphere (deep red brown matte) and defined the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and the very outer part of the outer v of the crease. I used the shade So Sirius (gold metallic) on the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid and then I went into the shade Marz (icy moss with a silver flip metallic) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid buffing at the sides to soften the delineation between shades. For my lower lash lines I used more of the shade Nova and created a drop shadow. I then went into more of the shade Chromosphere to deepen the look along the lash line. I highlighted the inner corners using more of the shade Marz. I lined my upper and lower waterlines using Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Eye Powder Pencil ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Audrey (classic brown). I coated my upper and lower lashes with 1 coat of MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara ($20 at Ulta).
Cheeks and Lips:
I applied my blush with the rest of my cream products since I was using Tarte Sugar Rush Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 on their website) in the shade Beaches & Cream (a peachy pink). I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Another Round (rosey nude) and then topped my lips off using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Topanga (dusty coral creme).
Final Thoughts:
So I am awaiting (with baited breath) on several purchases:
I am waiting on: my beauty fridge (comes on Wednesday), the Mulan Eyeshadow palette, both Mulan Collection Blushes, The Mulan Lipstick in Hau Mulan (those were mailed out today, finally), 9 of the 10 brow highlighter pencils from BH Cosmetics (when I received my BH Cosmetics shipment only 1 of the 10 pencils was in the box … it has taken 11 days for them to correct their mistake and it’s STILL not mailed out …. I may be considering not purchasing anymore from BH Cosmetics after this experience), The Nubian 3 palette for Juvia’s Place that I purchased at Ulta (should be here by the 13th), a few pairs of false lashes I purchased from an Etsy shop (should be here by the 14th), The Warrior 1, Warrior 2, and The Chocolates Palettes from the Juvia’s Place website, and then from the NYX website I purchased : The Wonder Stick in deep dark, the pro foundation palette, Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush is the shades Summer Breeze and Citrine Rose, The Can’t Stop Wont Stop Contour Concealers in the shades Walnut and Vanilla, 2 Micro-Duo Contour Pencils in the shade Deep, and Bare With Me Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Jelly Cheek Color in the shade Coral (I should receive this shipment by Friday).
Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits.
Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
That shade of lipstick looks pretty on you!
