Smokey Grey Eyed Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke early today (around 7:30 AM). Feeling exhausted today but still have enough energy to make a nice Italian meal tonight for supper.

Today’s perfume is Ralph Lauren Romance. Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day.

Base:

I first primed my problematic pore areas with Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) and then primed the full face using Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer ($37 at Sephora) in Smoothing. I then went in with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3 Light Medium. My foundation today is Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation ($44 at Sephora, on the Beautylish website, and on the Charlotte Tilbury website) in the shade 3 Neutral. I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora, on the Beautylish website, and on the Charlotte Tilbury website) in the shade Medium Dark to contour the perimeter of my face and down the bridge of my nose. I highlighted the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of the nose, center of the chin, and high points of my forehead using Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand ($38 on the Beautylish website) and then I went in with just a touch of Benefit Boxed Highlighter ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade cookie to set the high points of my face. I concealed my under eyes using Revolution Beauty Supersize Conceal and Define Full Coverage Concealer ($10 on their website) in the shade C 6.5. I warmed up the perimeter of my face using Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 on the Tarte website) in the shade Grace Bay (deep matte bronze). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 at Ulta) in the shade 1 and then set the rest of my face using the  Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I then topped off  the perimeter of my face using a light layer of MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC) in the shade Matte Bronze. I chose the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder ($13.99 at Ulta) in the shade Beige L4-M1.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using Joah Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($9.50 on their website) in the shade Brunette. I carved out the brow line using BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used the Juvia’s Place Nubian 3 Coral Palette ($20 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website) and 3 shadow’s from The Balm’s Meet Matt(e) Ador and Meet Matt(e) Nude palettes (both palettes are discontinued … they were limited edition). I started with the Nubian 3 palette and went into the 2nd shade of the 3rd row (dusty light grey matte) and buffed that all over the lids (from lash line to brow line). I then went into the 2nd shade of the 1st row (deep slate grey matte) and buffed that into the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease. I then went into the Meet Matt(e) Ador Palette and used the shade Matt Soto (a dusty black matte) and buffed that in 1/2 through the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and 1/2 way through the outer v of the crease. I then went back to the Nubian 3 palette and patted the 3rd shade of the 1st row (slate grey metallic) over the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid. I then went into the 1st shade of the 1st row (light toned silver metallic) and patted that over the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then went back into the Meet Matt(e) Ador and the shade Matt Lee (deep black matte) and deepened the very outer part of the mobile lid and the outer v. I then went into the Matt(e) Nude palette and set the brow line using the shade Matt Malloy (pure white matte). For the lower lash line I buffed more of the deep slate grey shade on closest to the lash line, and then buffed that out with more of the dusty light grey. I then used more of Matt Lee to deepen the bottom lash line. I highlighted my inner corners with Urban Decay Single Eyeshadow ($20 at Ulta) in the shade Midnight Cowboy (pink champagne with silver reflects). I tight lined my upper and lower waterlines using Flower Beauty Forever Wear Long-Wear Eyeliner ($7.99 at Ulta) in the shade Onyx. I created a mid-sized wing using Joah I’m So Fly Brush Tip Eyeliner ($8.50 on their website) in black. I coated my upper and lower lashes with 1 coat of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Black and then popped on a set of Kiss Looks So Natural Lash ($11.99 for a 5 pack at Ulta) in the style Flirty.

Cheeks and Lips:

I applied my blush with the rest of my cream products since I was using ColourPop Super Shock Cheek ($8 on their website) in the shade Birthday Suit (neutral pink) I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Brink  (terracotta rose) and then tapped a bit of L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain ($5.99 at Ulta) in the shade I Create (a pale dusty coral) over the top and then topped that with NARS Lip Gloss ($24 at Sephora) in the shade Dolce Vita (sheer dusty rose).

Final Thoughts:

I love that with this Nubian 3 palette I can go from light and airy summer vibes to a smokey night on the town look. This palette is just stunning.

I haven’t worn lashes in so long that my lash line feels super heavy, but I thought that this look called for a bit more drama than my natural lashes could handle.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and great health.

Remember dolls…. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
