Makeup on the Chopping Block Follow Up

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope.

I’m just popping in to give a follow up on what I kept and what I decluttered from my Chopping Block makeup .

There were 3 mascaras … after testing them out this past week I have decided to keep them in my collection. Those mascaras are:

  1. NYX On The Rise Volume Liftscara $11 at Ulta
  2. The Balm What’s Your Type Mascara $19 on their website.
  3. Physicians Formula Lash Contortionist Mascara (discontinued).

There were 9 concealers …. after testing them out this past week I have decided to keep 5 of them …. the one’s I am keeping are :

  1. BH Studio Pro Total Coverage Concealer $6 on their website.
  2. Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Dark Circle Concealer $8.50 at CVS and on their website. 
  3. Private Society Coveted Concealer $22 on their website.
  4. .AOA Paw Paw Liquid Concealer ($1.88 on the Shop Miss A website).
  5. Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25-HR Breathable Light Weight Medium Coverage Concealer $4.99 at Target and Walmart. 

the ones that I am decluttering are:

Dermablend Cover Care Full Coverage Concealer $28 at Ulta. I tried this ever way possible and just can’t get into it. It’s super thick, very creasy , and not easily blendable. I just really disliked this concealer from the first time I used it to the last time I used it.
Physicians Formula Conceal RX (discontinued). This one is hard to blend out, very sticky, and never truly sets … even after powdering. It’s not pigmented enough to cover dark circles and it oxidizes.
Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer $4.49 at Ulta. This one is super dry and super streaky. It’s just not a good concealer at all.
Tarte Creaseless Concealer $26 at Ulta. This was the newest concealer to my collection at the time of the Chopping Block post. I strongly disliked this one from the first time I tried it until yesterday. This is meant to be a “Creaseless” concealer … says so right in the name … but this one creased worse than any other concealer I have ever tried. It wan’t pigmented enough to cover my dark circles and didn’t work well with a color corrector underneath, and it was very drying.

Well there you have it dolls … out of the chopping block I have decluttered 4 of the 12 items.
