Today we’re diving into my under eye correctors, foundation mixers, and the one and only cream contour I will every use …. collection … Let’s do this…
Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate $12 on their website and at Target.
It comes in 2 shades: Brightening Peach (for fair to light skin tones) and Awakening Apricot (for medium to deep skin tones). I have it in the Brightening Peach shade.
It’s billed as being able to instantly erases darkness, softens and blurs lines.
When I first bought this one I didn’t like it because it always made my concealer crease. I then realized I just need the very lightest of taps into the product to get it to work for me and now I love it.
It’s creamy and pigmented and leaves the under eye looking wide awake. This has just enough pigment to color correct the under eye but is sheer enough to allow for wearing it alone…. I can wear it on no makeup days.
Believe Beauty Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer $4 only at Dollar General stores.
It’s offered in 2 shades light/medium and medium/deep and I have it in the shade light/medium.
It’s billed as being designed to enhance and brighten under eyes as a creamy blendable formula that camouflages discoloration.
This one is super creamy and is just a hint pinker than it is peach but it brightens the under eye beautifully.
Because it has that hint of pink in it I can’t wear this one on it’s own for no makeup days but it’s perfect enough for no makeup – makeup days with a light coverage concealer.
Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector $25 at Ulta.
It comes in 2 shades Light/Medium and Medium/Tan (but this one is deep enough for deeper skin tones) and I have it in the shade Light/Medium.
This one is billed as being able to instantly masks undereye discolorations and dark circles while improving the appearance of skin tone and texture over time with a full coverage.
This one dethroned my Bobbi Brown Undereye Corrector. Ever since testing this one out a few years back I have never repurchased the Bobbi Brown one again. Out of the 3 correctors I own this is my favorite one.
It’s creamy and brightens the under eye beautifully, this one isn’t a no makeup day corrector because it’s high coverage.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand $38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website.
It’s offered in fair/light and medium/deep I chose the shade medium/deep.
It’s billed as a soft-focus, semi-matte contour that is treated pigments with good adherence and color uniformity that create shadows and define features for a natural finish.
I always avoided cream contour and bronzers until I wanted to do a full face of Charlotte Tilbury and tried this cream contour and saw that it was easy to apply and blended out effortlessly.
This cream contour is beautiful. It’s made me venture into the world of all things cream … blushes, bronzers, and other contours .. I still haven’t found another cream contour that I like as much as this one.
Nyx Pro Foundation Mixer $10 (can be found on Amazon… this line has been discontinued).
The shades I have are (from left to right of the second picture) Warm, Olive, Dark, and White.
These mixers are easy to use… simply add a few drops into the foundation that needs to be adjusted.
These mixers do not change the formula of the foundations it’s just simply pure pigments.

I’ve never tried color corrector, but I’m curious. Concealers seem to work decently on their own, but I’m never totally happy with the results, since I have pretty pronounced under eye circles. However, there’s one product I like putting on under my concealer and that’s Tony Moly’s Panda Undereye Brightening stick. It’s white and creamy and really does brighten up under the eyes. People with less severe dark circles could use it alone. But I still need concealer over it. Anyhow, great post. I think I might try the Tarte one sometime.
