Peacock Inspired Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up a bit late today… had a hard time staying asleep last nigh, I was in a ton of pain.

I wanted to work with the blues and yellows in the Juvia’s Place The Warrior III Palette today so I came up with this look… I must say it was difficult working with the sky blue and the yellow together … the blue didn’t want to lay down over the yellow and kept getting patchy so I had to improvise and I used the NYX Glitter Glue to get the blue to lay down.

Well … let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….

Base:

I primed my face using VDL Lumilayer Primer ($32 at Ulta) and also ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta). My Foundation is Believe Beauty Skin Finish Foundation ($5 only a Dollar General Stores) in the color Nude. I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium Deep. I then warmed up the perimeter of my face using NYX Wonder Stick ($9 at Ulta) in the shade Deep Dark. I highlighted the high points of my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Spotlight. I concealed my under eyes using BH Studio Pro Total Coverage Concealer (normally $6 but on sale for $3.60 on their website) in the shade 111 (medium with neutral undertones). I set my concealer using ELF Smooth and Set High Definition Undereye Setting Powder ($4 on their website) in the shade sheer and then brightened the under eye area a bit more using aura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 1. I set the cream bronzer using ColourPop Pressed Powder Bronzer ($8 on their website) in the shade Talk to the Palm. I set the cream highlighter using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish ($36 at Ulta) in the shade Soft and Gentle (gilded peach bronze). I then set the rest of the face using  Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in the shade translucent. I have chosen the Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting the Tone Finishing Powder ($14.99 at Ulta) in the shade Light.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel ($22 at Ulta) and filled in my brows using Revolution Pro Define and Fill Brow Pencil ($8 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then primed the rest of my lids using the  P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used the Juvia’s Place The Warrior III Palette ($20 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website). I started by setting the crease to brow line using Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eye Shadow ($.99 at Walgreens) in the shade Creme Brulee. For my Crease I chose the shade Nzinga (a vibrant true canary yellow matte) and I took it all the way to the brow bone. I then chose the shade Gola (a vibrant sky blue matte) for the untire mobile lid and the outer v of the crease. I had a hard time getting this shade to stick to the yellow so I used a bit of NYX Glitter Glue () and then went back over the outer v again. I then went back over the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Karama (a steel blue metallic). For my lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Gola. I then used more of the shade Karama on the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line to add a bit of depth to the look. I highlighted the inner corners using Hikari Creme Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Honeydew (a pink with silver reflect metallic). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (was only sold in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils Vault and is no longer sold was limited edition) in the shade Whatchamacallit (dusty denim). I created a mini wing Physicians Formula Eye Booster ($11.49 at Ulta) in the shade Ultra Black. I then coated my lashes with 1 coat of Flower Beauty Lash Warrior ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade fiercest black and then popped on a pair of Obsidian Cosmetics Lashes ($7.99 on their Etsy website) in the style Barbie.

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I am using NYX Sweet Cheeks Matte Blush ($7.50 at Ulta) in the shade Citrine Rose (dusty rosy pink). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (6 on their website) in the shade BFF (warm nude) and then filled in my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Stix (sold as part of the Big Box of Lippie Stix Vault- no longer available) in the shade Dream Date (pale warm nude).

Final Thoughts:

I feel like I’m finally coming out of my fibro flare …. I’m feeling stronger and the new meds seem to be working.

I really do love this palette …. just wished the yellow and blue would have buffed into each other without going patchy.

I am really loving this nude lip combo … You may see it again soon.

Oh and I won an influencer contest from Obsidian Cosmetics where I got to created 2 of my own eyeshadows !!! That collaboration is coming soon …. stay tuned.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and good health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
