Simple Soft Glam Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up early today … first time in over 2 weeks …. slept very well and am feeling stronger today.

Today I felt like doing a soft glam look with the new palette that I created from ColourPop that I hauled yesterday.

Today I am wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy Dreams perfume…. Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….

Base:

I primed my face using I Heart Revolution Coconut Dream Hydrating Primer ($8 at Ulta) and I primed my pore areas using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta). I then used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3. For foundation today I chose Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 4.5 Medium. I contoured and bronzed the perimeter of my face using NYX Wonder Stick ($9 at Ulta) in the shade Deep Dark. I highlighted the high points of my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Spotlight. I color corrected my under eyes using Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector ($22 at Ulta) in the shade Light Medium and then I concealed my under eyes using Believe Beauty You’re Covered Liquid Concealer ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in the shade Light Beige. I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set my bronzer using Makeup Geek Fair Skin Bronzer ($9.99 on their website) in the shade Sunkissed. I set my highlighter using Juvia’s Place The Tribe Highlighter Vol. 3. I set the rest of the face using  Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in the shade translucent. For my setting powder I’ve chosen BH Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder (usually $9.50 but on sale for $4.75 on their website) in the shade 230.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash ($6.99 at Ulta) in clear and filled in my brows using Revolution Pro Define and Fill Brow Pencil ($8 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then primed the rest of my lids using the  P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used shadows from the ColourPop palette that I created ($45 for 24 shades and a z palette)…. I started by setting my brow line with ColourPop single shadow ($4.5 on their website) in the shade Hear Me Out (white peach – matte). For my transition shade I then used the shade Pretty Please (cool taupe – matte). For my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Good Thing (chestnut brown – matte). For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Miser (terracotta with blue-green duo-chrome – metallic). I then used the shade Misty  (pinky rose gold with baby blue glitter – metallic) on the middle 1/3 of my mobile lid to blend the outer and inner 1/3 together. I then went in on the very outer part of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the very outer part of the outer v of the crease with the ColourPop Single Eye Shadow ($4.5 on their website ) in the shade Feathered (rich chocolate brown – matte). For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using the more of the shade Pretty Please and then I warmed up the lash line using more of the shade Good Thing. I then took more of the shade Miser over the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners using the shade Let Me Explain  (ivory – metallic). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Joy Ride (deepened burgundy). I coated my lashes with ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara ($8 on their website) in the shade Black on Black and then popped on a pair of Obsidian Cosmetics Lashes ($7.99 on their Etsy website) in the style Barbie.

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I am wearing NYX Bare With Me Cannabis Sativa See Oil Jelly Cheek Color ($10 on their website) in the shade Coral Dream. I then set the blush using the slightest amount of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR blush in Blissful (). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Shot Clock (mid-tone mauve pink) and then filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Slacker (soft salmon – creme). I finished off my look with Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way … I used the middle shade called Soft Focus as a finishing powder.

Final Thoughts:

This was the biggest palette I’ve put together from the ColourPop website … I have 2 other palettes that I’ve created that were 12 shades and a z palette for $24 … I really do love the formula of their single shadows. There is no kick back in the pans and no fallout on the face. They blend smoothly and buff into each other without skipping or going patchy.

I am probably going to purchase another 24 shade palette next month too.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and good health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
