Teal Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I slept in today …. feeling a bit nauseous still…. My Fibromyalgia is really not cooperating with me the last few days …

I’m still playing around with the palette that I created from ColourPop ($45 for 24 shadows and a z palette on their website). I felt like playing with the 2 metallic blue shades that I picked and this was the look I came up with.

I’m not wearing any perfume today since I feel so nauseous…. Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:

I primed my face using I Heart Revolution Coconut Dream Hydrating Primer ($8 at Ulta) and I primed my pore areas using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta). I then used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3. For foundation today I chose L’Oreal Infallible 24-HR Fresh Wear Foundation ($14.99 at Ulta) in the shade 420 True Beige. I contoured my face using the NYX Micro-Contour Pencil (originally $10 but on sale for $5 on their website) in the shade Deep. I bronzed the face using Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Grace Bay. I highlighted the high points of my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Spotlight. I color corrected my under eyes using Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector ($22 at Ulta) in the shade Light Medium and then I concealed my under eyes using Makeup Revolution Super Size Conceal & Define Concealer ($10 on their website) in the shade C 6.5.  I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set my bronzer using Pixi By Petra Beauty Bronzer ($18 on their website) in the shade Summertime. I set my highlight using Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way and using the shade Glow. I set the rest of the face using  Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in the shade translucent. For my setting powder I’ve chosen BH Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder (usually $9.50 but on sale for $4.75 on their website) in the shade 230.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash ($6.99 at Ulta) in clear and filled in my brows using Revolution Pro Define and Fill Brow Pencil ($8 at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then primed the rest of my lids using the  P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used shadows from the ColourPop palette that I created ($45 for 24 shades and a z palette)…. I started by setting my brow line with ColourPop single shadow ($4.5 on their website) in the shade Hear Me Out (white peach – matte). For my transition shade (which I used from lash line to brow line) I used the shade Conundrum (warm brown – matte). I deepened my outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease using the shade Top Notch (terracotta brown – matte). On the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Gridlock (bright teal with silver & teal glitter – metallic). For added dimension I patted a bit of the shade AntiMatter (turquoise with a deep purple duochrome flip – metallic) over the space between the inner 2/3 and the outer 1/3 and buffed the edges into each other for a seamless blend. For the lower lash line I used more of the shade Top Notch for the outer 2/3 of the lash line … I then went in with a combo of the shades Gridlock and AntiMatter for the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners using the shade Dazzle from the Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way. I tight lined my lower and upper waterlines NYX Faux Black Eyeliner ($8 at Ulta) in the shade Midnight (midnight blue with sparkle). I primed my lashes using L’Oreal Voluminous Primer ($8.99 at Ulta) and followed that up with the L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I am wearing NYX Bare With Me Cannabis Sativa See Oil Jelly Cheek Color ($10 on their website) in the shade Coral Dream. I then set the blush using the slightest amount of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush () in the shade Blissful (). I lined and filled in my lips using iluvsarahii x ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($7 on their website) in the shade Curvii (warm beige) and then topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Parker (mid-tone warm nude – matte).

Final Thoughts:

The more I play around with the NYX Bare With Me Cannabis Sativa See Oil Jelly Cheek Color the more I like it. I think it just has a learning curve to it. It’s a super pretty color. It can be super pretty sheered out or super punchy if you pat it out slightly.

I’ve created another ColourPop 24 shade palette that I will be purchasing for my July beauty buys.

I’m also thinking of picking up a few of the Fenty Beauty blushes and the cream bronzer for next month.

Well dolls … That’s all for now. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and good health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
