Soft Neutral Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up so late today! I slept in until 1 PM. I had a hard time sleeping last night. I only just finished my makeup around 6:30 PM …. so it wont be on long but I wanted to get a Face of the Day out to you…..

I am still playing with my new ColourPop palette that I put together…. So let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….

Base:

I primed my face using I Heart Revolution Coconut Dream Hydrating Primer ($8 at Ulta) and I primed my pore areas using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta). I then used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3. For foundation today I chose Flower Beauty Light Illusion Luminous Makeup ($14 on their website) in the shade Natural Beige. I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium/Dark. I bronzed the face using Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Grace Bay. I highlighted the high points of my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Spotlight. I color corrected my under eyes using Believe Beauty Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in the shade Light/Medium. I concealed my under eyes using Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer (being discontinued so available only is a few colors) in the shade Light Medium.  I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set my bronzer using Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer ($15.99 at Ulta) in the regular bronzer shade.  I set my highlight using Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way and using the shade Glow. I set the rest of the face using  Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in the shade translucent. For my setting powder I’ve chosen BH Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder (usually $9.50 but on sale for $4.75 on their website) in the shade 230.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General stores) in clear and filled in my brows using Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49 at Ulta) in the shade 05 Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then primed the rest of my lids using the  P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used shadows from the ColourPop palette that I created ($45 for 24 shades and a z palette)…. I started by setting my brow line with ColourPop single shadow ($4.5 on their website) in the shade Hear Me Out (white peach – matte). For my transition shade (which I used from lash line to brow line) I used the shade Sea Stars (medium yellow brown – matte). For the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease I used the shade Cloud Nine (plummy brown – matte). For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Painted Lady (icy peachy orange – metallic). I then patted Misty (pinky rose gold – metallic) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to add just a hint more dimension to the over all look. For the lower lash line I kept it simple. I just dusted more of the shade Sea Stars along the lower lash line and then added more of the shade Misty in the middle of the lash line for an added pop. I highlighted the inner corners using Let Me Explain (ivory – metallic). I tight lined my upper and lower waterlines using Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Eye Powder Pencil ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Audrey (deep grey toned brown). I primed my lashes using AOA Studio Fat Lash Primer ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) and then coated my lashes is AOA Fat Lash Mascara ($1 on the Shop Miss A website).

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I am wearing Tarte Sugar Rush Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 at Ulta) in the shade Beaches and Cream (peachy pink). I set the cream blush using Tarte Amazonian 12-HR Blush ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Captivating (bright peach). I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Another Round (rosey nude) and then topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix (only available in the Big Box of Lippie Stix Vault that was limited edition) in the shade At Twilight (warm muted coral – creme). I finished off my look with Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way … I used the middle shade called Soft Focus as a finishing powder.

Final Thoughts:

I’ve been having the hardest time with my Fibromyalgia this month. It’s not allowing me to sleep at night which is robbing me of a full day. I get up late and end up running out of day light to do the things that I want to get done.

I forgot how to work with brow pomade… I’m going to have to keep using it to get better at it.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and spirits.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
