Hey doll hey! How’s your day going? Great I hope. Mine isn’t going very well. I have insomnia right now and have not been to sleep in well over 37 hours. I’m still vomiting from the other day too.

I also injured my eye lid today. I was working with the ColourPop Crème Gel Colour ($7 on their website) in the shade Exit (true white) and it just didn’t go well. This is the worst gel liner in all the world! It went on patchy and it cracked and caked up and just did not go on well at all. Once I did get it on fully on it cracked again and when I tried to apply shadow over the top on it the shadow couldn’t lay down because of the cakeiness of it.

So I had to remove all of my makeup and start again. The problem was that I couldn’t get the eyeliner to come off and had to rub a little harder that I should have and ended up rubbing some of the skin away from my right eye. It was so sore that I ended up having to do this like today on just 1 eye and takes pictures hiding my other eye for today’s post.

It’s so sore and has begun to seep so I ended up putting Neosporin on it to soothe it. So just a little back story to why my pictures have my hand covering half my face. I just loved the look so much that I wanted to share it with you.

So today I’m not wearing any perfume since I am so nauseous today. So let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day….

Base:
I primed my face using Too Faced HangoveRX ($34 at Ulta) and I primed my pore areas using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta). I then used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3. For foundation today I chose a combo of 5 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) and 3 Pumps of Benefit Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 4. I contoured the perimeter of my face and my nose using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium/Dark. I bronzed my face using Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Grace Bay. I highlighted the high points of my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Spotlight. I concealed my under eyes using Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Concealer ($14 at Ulta and the Juvia’s Place website) in the shade J23 (fair skin with neutral undertones). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set my bronzer using Makeup Revolution Bronzer Reloaded ($7 at Ulta) in the shade Take a Vacation. I set my highlight using Too Faced Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way and using the shade Glow. I set the rest of the face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. For my setting powder I’ve chosen BH Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder (usually $9.50 but on sale for $4.75 on their website) in the shade 230.

Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General stores) in clear and filled in my brows using NYX Micro Brow Pencil (regularly $10 but on sale for $7.50 at Ulta) in the shade Brunette. I carved out my brow line and primed my lids using the P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used shades from the palette I created from CoulorPop and The JKissa X ELF To the Rescue Palette ($20 at Ulta). I started with the ColourPop palette. I used the shade Hear Me Out (white peach – matte) to set the brow line. I then went in with the shade Wake Up Call (warm sand – matte) from lash line to brow line. I then took more of the P.Louise Base and created a long thick wing. I then went in with the JKissa x ELF Palette. Starting at the inner corner I laid down Casey (red – matte). I then laid down Millie (orange – matte) and blended it into the red a bit. I then laid down Yosemite (yellow – matte) and blended it into the orange a bit. I then laid down Peaky (green – matte) and blended it into the yellow a bit. I then laid down the shade Cannoli (bright blue – matte) and blended it into the green a bit. Then finally I laid down the shade Sadie (purple – matte) and blended that into the blue a bit. I then went in with the corresponding shades of shimmers … in order then names are Strawberry, Tsuki, Firefly, Reagan, Bailey, and Confetti. I then went in with the shades Sea Stars (medium yellow brown – matte) and Good Thing (warm chestnut brown – matte) from the ColourPop palette on the lower lash line. I then used the shade Let Me Explain (ivory – matte) from the same palette to highlight my inner corner. I tight lined my upper and lower lash line using the Milani Stay Put Waterproof Eyeliner ($7.99 on their website and at most drug stores like Walgreens and CVS) in the shade 01 Linked on Black. I coated the top and lower lashes with Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Glossy Black.

Cheeks and Lips:
For blush today I am wearing Tarte Sugar Rush Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 at Ulta) in the shade Beaches and Cream (peachy pink). I set the cream blush using Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 at Ulta) in the shade Rhubarb & Custard (a coral matte). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippe Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Another Round (rosy nude). I then filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix (Only offered in the limited edition Big Box of Lippie Stix Vault from ColourPop and is no longer available) in the shade At Twilight ( warm muted coral – creme).

Final Thoughts:
Because my eye is so sore I’m going to take a few days off from Face of the Day posts.
I’ll still post some content but it wont be Face of the Day content.
I really do love the way this look turned out I think the liner is so super cute so once my eye heals I plan on redoing this look for both eyes.
Stay tuned later this week for my June Beauty Buys.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and good spirits.
Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO, Nita

Ow! I’m sorry to see what happened to your eye! I hope it heals really fast. I hate when my eyes hurt. (I wear contacts, so I have issues even when I don’t wear makeup) But I absolutely LOVE the rainbow eye. Just beautiful. It looks like it’s right out of a magazine. Great job! I hope you can sleep again soon. I have the worst time sleeping myself. I’ll wake up and can’t fall back to sleep for hours. Then I’m tired all the next day.

I usually fall asleep fat 12 AM, then wake up an hour or two before dawn and just lay there. I’m lucky if I get a couple of hours after that. When I start thinking about stuff and/or am in pain then I just can’t sleep. Glad your eye is healing. I hate when stuff messes with my eyes. I’ve used a lot of under eye moisturizers that STING!!

Oh geeze ! I think it was one of the liquid Too Faced glitter liners that really hurt my eyes . Ugh . I do use Too Faced products but I’m always scared of the liners .

Someone else that I talk to online has told me that a few of the Colourpop shadows made her eyes water too . I’m not sure if its certain dyes or pigments they use . So I’ve always been kind of shy of trying them.

I’ve never had a problem with there shadows they are some of my favorites but I almost always have issues with their liners

Got ya . I wonder if its possible to identify the ingredients you’re allergic too .

I dont think I’m allergic to the liners I just think they are poor quality…. the white liner went on patchy and cracked a bunch and was just difficult to remove so when I removed it I had to rub harder than you should with the delicate eye area

That makes sense . Well thanks for your review I’ll pass on that liner.
