The Lip Product Tag

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. Since I’m unable to play with my makeup for a while I’ve decided today’s post was going to be another makeup tag post.

The tag I’ll be doing this time around is called the Lip Product Tag and was created by YouTuber Jessica Braun. I’ve been watching her channel for the past 5 years and I just love her content. She is a sweet person who use to be a primary school teacher and has a love for Disney that is every bit as big as mine is. She does a lot of makeup reviews and she does amazing high end dupe videos as well. You can see here video of this tag here .

The categories of this tag are:

Newest Lip Product

The ELF Tinted Lip Oil $6 on their website in the shade Nude Kiss (light pinkish nude). These lip oils are infused with Jojoba, Apricot, and Vitamin E and smell like vanilla cupcakes.

Oldest Lip Product

Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint $20 at Ulta in the shade Exposed (nude pink). It is billed as a quick dry, full coverage, transfer-proof liquid lipstick with a comfortflex formula that moves with your lips without drying out, cracking or feathering. I did a declutter of my whole makeup collection and only 2 of my original lipsticks made the cut … this one and 1 from Rimmel London which I ended up using all the way up and have plans to repurchase.

Most Expensive Lip Product

Charlotte Tilbury Hot LIPS Lipsticks $34 at Sephora. This one is in the shade Kim KW (classic nude) and is billed as featured in a range from a light satin finish nudes to deep matte berries. A range of pop shades in pink, red, and orange hues rounds out the range and feature Charlotte’s signature square-angled tip that is designed to mimic a lip brush. I actually own I think 5 other shades in her line. I love her lip formulas so much.

Most Affordable Lip Product

Believe Beauty Satin Crush Lipstick (only available at Dollar General Stores) $4 and is billed as The perfect lip for everyday wear with one swipe color and buttery smooth texture. I have it in the shade Moroccan Spice (terracotta nude). I do love this lipstick but only own it in 1 shade because they are always sold out.

Most Colorful or Boldest Lip Product

ColourPop Lippie Stix (is part of the big box of lippie stix vault and no longer avaiable) in the shade Daytrip (vivid pink coral matte). Out of all 48 shades in this box set this is the most vibrant most bold lipstick in the set.

Lip Product Most Worth the Hype

For years these 2 shades from MAC where all over YouTube. Myth (light neutral nude) and Blankety (soft pink beige) and is billed as a creamy lipstick formula with a soft cushiony feel, medium-to-full buildable coverage and a satin finish. I have repurchased these shades countless times. They are just the perfect nudes for every look you can come up with. I love both shades so much that there is just no way for me to chose one over the other.

Lip Product Most Not Worth the Hype

Makeup Geek Show Stopper Creme Stain is billed as a highly pigmented, long lasting and the precision applicator offers effortless, buildable coverage. This creme stain formula will feel light on the lips throughout the day! When these first came out they were EVERYWHERE on social media so I purchased it in the shade Jitterbug (coral). This is the most drying most crusty product on the planet. It’s just horrible. It cracks and cakes up and dries out the lips. The only way I’m able to wear this is to add just a few dots into a light nude shade and top it with gloss.

Favorite Lip Product from Favorite Brand

ColourPop Lippie Stix $7 on their website in the shade Topanga (dusty coral). This is my all time favorite lip color on the planet. I have gone through 3 of these already. This is the perfect shade of coral (and as we all know by now, coral is my favorite lip shade).

Most Used Lip Product

NARS Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight (pink sherbet) $24 at Ulta and Striptease (nude) $24 on the NARS website. I use these 2 shades constantly. Even on days when I don’t wear any makeup I will more than likely be wearing one of these two. These lip glosses are a perfect formula …. not too sticky and even though it has fine mica in it it’s not overly glittery.

Most Underrated Lip Product

BH Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipstick $8 each on their website and are billed as a lightweight formula is available in an array of color-rich shades from neutral brown to deep red in a creamy matte finish. I have them in 4 shades but am going to be ordering more soon. I barely ever hear anyone talking about these lipsticks and they are AMAZING! They are super comfortable, long lasting, don’t bleed or feather outside the lip lines and are super opaque. They aren’t transfer proof but they are super long lasting on me. The two shades shown are Pref (a nude pink) and YAS (a coral nude).

Most Nostalgic Lip Product

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick $5.49 at Walmart is billed as High-intensity color for up to 8 hours, Sumptuously rich color, and Smooth, creamy texture. Specifically in the shade Airy Fairy (icy pinkish nude). I don’t have this one currently in my collection because I just finished it last week and really need to repurchase it. This shade holds the deepest part of my heart because I originally purchased it when I was on vacation to Philadelphia PA to visit my sister for my niece’s prom. I was doing her makeup for the prom and we picked this shade out together. I’ve been wearing it ever since.

Most Disappointing Lip Product

Makeup Geek Icon Lipstick in the shade Naive (soft peachy nude). This poduct is billed as a highly pigmented color in a shine finish leaves your lips feeling silky smooth. The sleek Rose-Gunmetal tubes feature a unique color indicator in the cap so you can easily find your ideal shade. The problem is, I really wanted to love this product because the shade is stunning, that it goes on patchy and streaky. You really have to layer it up a bunch to get an even color payoff. It’s just way too high maintenance for me.

Most Unique Lip Product

L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain $11.99 at Ulta. It is billed as the color impact of a liquid lipstick with a weightless, bare-lip sensation ultra-comfortable liquid matte lip stain that provides lasting matte color and gives lips intense color. I have it in 5 shades (this one is I Empower #418 – peachy nude). The formula of these lip stains are incredible! It literally feels like nothing on the lips at all. It’s such a perfect lip stain. I highly recommend trying these out.

Best Smelling Lip Product

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Lip Cream $8.49 at Ulta. It is billed as being infused with a powerful blend of Murumuru Butter, Cupuaçu Butter and Tucuma Butter, from the lush and nutrient-rich Amazon. Packed with essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that soften, condition and moisturize lips, leaving them silky soft. I have this is the shade Brazilian Sunset (peachy coral), they smell very sweet and have a sweet taste to them as well.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and spirits.

Remember, Save a spoon for a little lipstick.

XOXO
