Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope.
So we are now on to day 2 of this fun beauty tag …. let’s see what I came up with.
Day 2: Dream Shimmer Palette: Pick 9 of Your Favorite Shimmer Shades & Swatch Them to Make Your Own Palette!
- As always the 1st picture will be the picture with no flash and the one on the 2nd one will be the one with flash …. All swatches are done on bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass.
For this palette creation it was so much easier for me than with the matte palette. I adore shimmer but I already knew which were my 9 top favorite shimmer shades.
The shades in my 9 Pan Shimmer Palette would be:
The 1st shade of the Juvia’s Place The Nudes Palette (peachy champagne with silver pin point – metallic). This is my favorite inner corner pop of shimmer. I even love it lightly pressed into the center of the mobile lid.
Soothe Metallic (warm champagne gold – from the Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Palette). I just love the whole row of the shade Soothe but this shimmer is so metallic it’s breath taking.
Aura Metallic (champagne – from the Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Palette). This is my favorite mobile lid shade when I’m using a camel color in the crease. I’ve even used this shade as a highlight on my nose as well.
The 1st shade of the Juvia’s Place The Nubian Palette (iridescent pink – shimmer). This is just such a pretty shimmer shade. There’s just something about the way it catches the light that just pops so pretty!
Miser (terracotta with blue-green duochrome – metallic – a ColourPop single shadow). This is probably the prettiest metallic shade that ColourPop has ever put out. I love to use this as the blending shade for the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid it gives such an amazing sunset vibe to any subtle look and yet looks amazing mixed into a smokey eye. I also love how in certain lights it looks coral and in others it truly takes on the duo chrome blue green shift.
Marz (icy moss with a silver sheen – metallic – from the ColourPop She Got Solstice Palette). This is the shadow that sparked my intrest for green shadows. I particularly love to pair this one with Miser or with any of my coral shades. I’ve also used this one over top of a deep brown to add a hmmm …. there’s something about that eye …. pop of surprise.
Nefertiti (shimmering 18 k gold – metallic – from the Juvia’s Place The Nubian II Palette). I typically don’t like gold foiled looking shadows but this one is so reflective and so pigmented that it’s just stunning. I’ve been loving to pair it with a deep chocolate smokey eye just right under the lower lash line for that pop of BAM!
Painted Lady ( icy peachy orange – metallic – a ColourPop single shadow). This shadow doesn’t photograph well but it’s such an amazing shade. Yes it’s peachy orange but there is just enough peach in it to have it lean more towards coral than orange. This is another one of those shades I just love to wear as an all over wash of color or in a halo eye look.
Tea Garden (duochrome red with a green gold flip – metallic – a ColourPop single shadow). This shade is so multifaceted that it will keep you guessing as to what shade it actually is. I love this shade in the center of the lower lash line to add that wow factor to a smokey eye. I love it all over the mobile lid. I love it on the middle 1/3 of the mobile … I just simply love this shade.
