A Coral Moment Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m feeling a bit run down today.

I wanted to use all my new BECCA products that I hauled this morning (I will be reviewing them in Final Thoughts) and I wanted to play with some of the new shades I purchased of the single shadows by ColourPop … so this is the look I came up with.

Today’s perfume is Liz Claiborn Realities. So let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day….

Base:

I primed my face using Too Faced HangOveR RX Primer ($34 at Ulta and Sephora). For my foundation today I am using BECCA Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation ($44 but on sale for $26.40 on their website) in the shade Shell (light beige with neutral undertones). I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Medium/Deep. I highlighted the high points of my face using the BECCA Ignite Liquified Light Highlighter ($38 on their website) in the shade Passion (pale incandescent pearl that reflects gold). I color corrected my under eyes using the BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 on their website) in the shade light/medium and then concealed my under eyes using BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer $32 but on sale for $19.20 on their website) in the shade Porcelain (very fair with slightly pink undertones). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Sephora and Ulta). I set the rest of my face using BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder ($39 on their website) in the shade original (a sheer, creamy beige). I bronzed my face using the BECCA Sunlit Bronzer ($38 on their website) in the shade Ipanema Sun (medium auburn brown). For touch ups I am using Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade translucent.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using AOA Studio Sculpting Brow Pencil ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brows using my BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighting Pencil ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and then prepped the rest of my eye lids using Revolution Makeup Cut Crease Canvas Full Coverage Eye shadow Base ($9 on their website) in the shade Illustrate (fair flesh color). For today’s eye look I used single shadows ($4.50 each but can get a deal for $45 for 24 shades and a z palette)from the palettes I created off the ColourPop website. I set my brow line using Hear Me Out (white peach – matte). I chose the shade Wake Up Call (warm sand – matte) as my transition shade. For my crease color I chose a combo of the shades Cut Outs (dusty coral – matte) and Charge It (soft rosey pink – matte). I deepened the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease using the shade Criss Cross (medium warm dark copper – mate). On the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Turn Tables (orangey coral – metallic). I then took the shade Anthem (bright pinky copper – metallic) and patted it over the demarcation line between the outer 1/3 and inner 2/3 of the mobile lid. I then took the shade Party Favors (vibrant duo-chrome peach with a gold flip – metallic) and tapped that over the middle 1/3 to add a bit of brightness to the eye. I lined my lower waterlines using Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner ($26 at Sephora) in the shade #74 Sunset (golden bronze- shimmer) and then lined the lower lash lines with the same pencil and smudged it out to create a drop shadow. I then took more of the shade Criss Cross and buffed that under the liner to smokey it out a bit. I then took the shade Humble Brag (burnt orange with gold flecks – sequin) and added that to the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line to add some dimension to the look. I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using the shade Ringer (champagne – metallic). I coated my upper and lower lashes with Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lash Mascara ($29 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Glossy Black and popped on a pair of ColourPop Falsies Faux Lashes ($8 on their website) in the shade Hunni.

Cheeks and Lips:

For my blush I am wearing BECCA Mineral Blush ($32 on their website) in the shade Song Bird (peachy pink). I added a bit of BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Champagne Pop (soft gold with pinky-peach pearl). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (only available in the big box of lippie pencils vault – out of stock) in the shade Oh Sis (smoked paprika) and filled in my lips using BECCA Ultimate Lipstick Love ($24 on their website) in the shade Tulip (warm pinky coral) and then topped of the center of the lips using BECCA Glow Gloss ($22 on their website) in the shade Champagne Creme (right – soft gold with high-impact pink & gold pearls).

Final Thoughts:

BECCA Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation in the shade Shell

I grade this product an A+++!!! : It comes in 24 shades with 14 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Shell (light beige with neutral undertones). It’s billed as a moisturizing, light weight, medium-coverage foundation with a velvety, natural finish for healthy looking skin that lasts for 24 hours of wear. It claims to have pore-blurring pigments.

This foundation is so freaking good!!! It’s so weightless that I don’t even feel like I’m wearing anything. It looks amazing on the skin. It’s just melts into the skin so seamlessly.

It doesn’t blur my pores (I chose not to use a pore primer today to test that claim out) but it did give the pores a softer focus look.

It has a high medium coverage that can be built up to full coverage and has a satin finish.

I’m going to have a hard time not reaching for this foundation everyday just because it’s so beautiful that I want to wear it all the time!

BECCA Ignite Liquified Light Highlighter in the Shade Passion

I grade this product an A+++!!! : It comes in 5 shades and I have it in the shade Passion (pale incandescent pearl that reflects gold). It’s billed as a liquid highlighter for face and body that gives skin an all over pearlized glow that is transfer and water resistant and has multi-dimensional micro-pearls suspended in a crystal-gel formula to give the skin a pearlized glow.

This liquid highlighter is so darn good!!! It’s super reflective and has a shine that seeps through setting powder perfectly without losing any of that shine!

It was easy to blend in and set fully within a few seconds so you do have to work a bit at a time and quickly.

I love this one so much I already purchased a full size bottle of it.

BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector in the Shade Light/Medium

I grade this product an A+++!!! : It comes in 2 shades (light/medium and medium/deep) I purchased it in the light/medium shade. It’s billed as a full-coverage colour corrector that uses light to brighten dark under eye. It claims to nourish the under eyes and to have backlight technology that is infused with peach and apricot toned color correctors with light-reflecting illuminators that deflect light away from dark circles.

This corrector is so soft and creamy and yet did not sink into my fine lines of my under eyes. I just tapped my finger into the pot and that was enough for both under eyes.

It buffs into the skin so fast and so flawlessly. It’s the perfect shade to brighten the under eyes and it’s the right tone and the right amount of coverage that you can wear this alone under the eyes to conceal (a perfect product for no makeup days and light makeup days).

I also used this to brighten up the sides of my mouth and to cover the redness that I have around my nose today and it worked perfectly.

I have to say out of all the correctors I have tried …. this one is the cream of the crop and I’m saying that after just 1 use because it worked so well that I already know that this is a favorite.

BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer in the Shade Porcelain

I grade this product an A+ : It comes in 9 shades with 4 shades for deeper skin and I have it in the shade Porcelain (very fair with slightly pink undertones). It’s billed as a water-infused, crease-proof concealer that delivers weightless light-to-medium coverage that is blurring and has a soft luminosity. It claims to have flexible color pigments that move with your skin for seamless coverage. It claims to never crease, cake, or settle into lines.

This is a beautiful concealer! BEAUTIFUL!!! The only reason I didn’t grade this one the highest I grade (A+++!!!) is because it’s not hydrating (not that it claims to be but with a name like AQUA LUMINOUS one would think it would be). It’s at best low medium coverage. I didn’t need a second layer and it spread out evenly without creasing. It made my under eyes look so flawless! I just know for the next time to add just a bit more eye cream before applying this one. Other than it not being very hydrating it’s a perfect concealer that I will enjoy using again and would consider repurchasing in the future.

BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder in the Shade Original

I grade this product an A- : It comes in 2 shades original (a sheer, creamy beige) and golden bronze (a soft, warm tan) I was gifted the original shade. It’s billed as a weightless setting powder that refreshes and cools the skin with all-day moisture and blurs the look of pores and fine lines. It claims to be formulated with 50% water that sets makeup while refreshing and cooling skin on contact with a mist like sensation.

I graded this one a little low because it doesn’t do most of what it claims to do. It is a weightless powder (it’s finely milled) but there is no cooling feeling, there is no mist like sensation, my face did not feel moisture at all and it does not blur the pore.

With that said it did give a soft focus to the fine lines.

I did give it an A- because I loved the final look I got with this powder. It’s not cakey or thick. It’s not dusty or mattifying.

It looks pretty on the skin and I have a feeling I wont need to touch up much with this powder on. (I will update you tomorrow in Final Thoughts on how long this powder lasted before I needed to touch up).

BECCA Sunlit Bronzer in the Shade Ipanema Sun

I grade this product an A+++!!! : It comes in 5 shades with 3 of those shades being deep enough for deep skin and I purchased the shade Ipanema Sun (medium auburn brown). It’s billed as an ultra-creamy bronzer that builds a warm, sun-kissed glow on any skin with a ultra buttery formula that is buildable and has a neutral under tone.

This is such a beautiful bronzer! It’s the perfect under tone, the perfect shade, and the perfect texture!

It’s a satin finish that just gives the skin this naturally sun kissed effect that looks so pretty.

This is another product I’m gonna have a hard time putting down.

I’m also thinking of purchasing a few more shades so that I have the perfect winter and spring shades too.

BECCA Mineral Blush in the Shade Song Bird

I grade this product an A+++!!! : It comes in 7 shades (for this formula) and I purchased it in the shade Song Bird (peachy pink). It’s billed as a mineral blush that is highly pigmented, builds and blends effortlessly to give cheeks a healthy, natural flush.

I LOVE THIS FORMULA!!! This is a finely milled, super buttery blush formula!

This shade is so stinking beautiful and the satin finish just gives the cheeks this healthy looking glow to the face.

I do believe I have found my perfect blush!!! I only wish that it was a bit large the pan is 1/2 the size of their highlighters.

This is super pigmented product so I just barely tapped my brush into the product and that was enough to get full opacity.

I will be purchasing a back up of this blush because it’s that darn good that I never want to be without it.

BECCA Ultimate Lipstick Love in the Shade Tulip

I grade this product an A+++!!! : It comes in 30 shades and I purchased the shade Tulip (warm pinky coral). It’s billed as an instantly moisturizing lipstick for pure colour in one swipe, infused with hyaluronic acid to hydrate. It claims to be long-wearing and packed with pure color pigments in a light reflecting oil that delivers a comfortable 8 hour wear.

DOLLS!!!! This has got to be the creamiest, prettiest lipstick I have ever owned!

It’s super hydrating and super pigmented. The color is my perfect coral shade and it smells so yummy.

I definitely want more shades of this formula.

BECCA Glow Gloss in the Shade Champagne Creme (the one on the right)

I grade this product an A++ : It comes in 10 shades, of which I was gifted the mini’s of Rose Gold (left – copper rose with soft gold pearl) and Champagne Creme (right – soft gold with high-impact pink & gold pearls). It’s billed as a lip formula with the shine of a gloss, pigment of a liquid lipstick and nourishing benefits of a balm. It claims to be nourishing, conditioning, have plumping peptides, and a high shine finish.

The formula is a nice formula … not sticky at all and super reflective. It’s just not a HIGH IMPACT color pay off like they claim it to be.

It does not plump the lips like it claims to do. It is however very cooling on the lips (do to the mint in the formula).

It’s very hydrating, however it’s not long lasting and when it wore away my lips felt very dehydrated. (I was able to fix this by using my lip balm, than laying down my lipstick and topping it off with the lip gloss.

It’s a decent lip gloss and I’d be keen to try other shades in this range.

Just don’t except pigment with this product …. it is a sheer wash of color.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
