THE DREAM PALETTE CHALLENGE DAY 6 : DREAM Mono-Chromatic PALETTE

This is a challenge that was created by newlipstickclub1 , shimmershanny , and pan.o.ramics on Instagram.

Day 1: Dream Mono-Chromatic Palette: Pick 9 shades all based on your favorite color to create your own mini mono-chromatic palette

  • As always the picture on the left will be the picture with no flash and the one on the right will be the one with flash …. All swatches are done on bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass.

The color story I chose for my Monochromatic palette is PURPLE of course!!! Not only is it my favorite color on the planet, it’s also the official color of Spoonie Awareness. So let’s take a look at what my dream mono-chromatic palette would look like.

The shade from left to right are as follows:

Earthshine (pinky lavender with a blue duo-chrome flip – metallic) from the It’s My Pleasure Palette from ColourPop $12 on their website. This is such a pretty purpler, pinky, blue shifting eye shadow that is perfect for the inner corner or just tapped over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid.

Mr. Sandman (icy rose with a silver sheen – metallic) from the It’s My Pleasure Palette from ColourPop $12 on their website. This shade reminds me a little of MAC’s Blue Brown pigment in the way that it shifts. I love this color paired with a mossy green metallic.

Tropicana (pastel lilac – matte) from the ELF Retro Paradise Palette $14 on their website. This is a great little powdery lilac shade that’s great for the mobile lid but can also be used as a brow line highlight for a more avant garde look.

Neutrino (purple with a blue sheen – metallic) a ColourPop Single Pan Eyeshadow $4.50 on their website. I have said so much already about this shade … so I will simply say …. when ever I have a chance to add this shade to a look …. I do because I just simply love it.

Do or Dough (bright lavender with blue duo-chrome flip – metallic) from the It’s My Pleasure Palette from ColourPop $12 on their website. This one has so much dimension to it that it’s just the perfect companion to any purple look , be it smokey, subtle, or glam.

Guilt Trip (smoky purple – shimmer) from the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette $49 at Sephora. I don’t reach for this one as much as I reach for some of my other purple shadows but every time I do I love the look … this is my most subtle purple shadow I own … it’s a bit smokey…. a bit sultry.

Chick Lit (deep amethyst – metallic) from the It’s My Pleasure Palette from ColourPop $12 on their website. This shade is just perfection … simply put …. PERFECTION.

Candace (true berry based purple – matte) from the Warrior III Palette from Juvia’s Place $20 on their website. I love to use this shade as a base for my less punchy purple shades … it really punches up the purple in any shade.

and finally Sleeper (eggplant – matte) a ColourPop Single Pan Eyeshadow $4.50 on their website. I use this one to deepen my outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I also use it to deepen the lower lash line too.

Well … there you have it dolls … my dream 9 pan mono-chrome palette … what would be your dream 9 pan mono-chrome palette?
