Taupe Soft Glam Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m starting to feel a little better. Sorry I’ve been away for a few days … I was resting up and healing from having my wisdom teeth removed. With Fibrillation pain registers heavier and more intense so I really needed the break. My mouth is finally healing! No more tooth pain, my jaw was very sore for like 4 days and I really hate the mouthwash the oral surgeon prescribe for me, it’s very medicinal. I’m having a bit more pain today (fibro related) and my energy is doing pretty good today.

Today’s perfume is Lancome La Vie Est Belle: Scent Notes Are: At the top: Black Currant and Pear. Middle Notes Are: Iris, Jasmine, and Orange Blossom. And Rounding the Scent Out Is: Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Praline, and Patchouli.

Well…let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day.

Base:

I primed my face using Believe Beauty Pretty and Primed Hydrating Primer ($5 only at Dollar General Stores) and I then used BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora). I prepped my pores using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta and Sephora). For foundation today I’m wearing BECCA Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation ($44 but on sale at Ulta for $26.40) in the shade Shell. I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Medium/Deep. I bronzed my face using Juvia’s Place Shade Stick Foundation ($16 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website) in the shade Guinea (dark skin with cool neutral undertones). I highlighted the high points of my face using ELF Jelly Highlighter ($6 on their website) in the shade Dew (golden).  I color corrected using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 on their website) in the shade light/medium and then concealed my under eyes using BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer ($32 on their website) in the shade Porcelain. I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Sephora and Ulta). I set the rest of my face using BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder ($39 on their website) in the shade original (a sheer, creamy beige). I bronzed my face using the BECCA Sunlit Bronzer ($38 on their website) in the shade Ipanema Sun (medium auburn brown). For touch ups I am using Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade translucent.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using ELF Lock On Liner & Brow Cream ($4 on their website) in the shade Medium Brown.  I carved out my brows using my BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighting Pencil ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then prepped the rest of my eye lids using Revolution Makeup Cut Crease Canvas Full Coverage Eye shadow Base ($9 on their website) in the shade Illustrate (flesh color). For today’s eye look I used 2 palettes, the ColourPop single shadow palette ($45 on their website) I created, and the BH Cosmetics Love in London palette (originally $16 but on sale for $12 on their website). I set my brow line using the shade Hear Me Out (white peach – matte) from my ColourPop palette. I then switched to the BH palette. For my transition color I used the shade Cheers (soft beige – matte). For my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid color I used the shade Lovely (rich cocoa – matte). For the outer 1/2 of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease I used a combination of the shades Crumpet (cool deep brown -matte) and Posh (charcoal – matte). For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Lolly (rose gold – shimmer). I then took the shade Queen (lustrous gold – metallic) and patted that over the middle 1/3 to blend the whole mobile lid together. For the lower lash line I first put down a base along the lashes of the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner ($26 at Sephora) in the shade #74 Sunset (golden bronze- shimmer) and smudged it out and then went in with more of the shade Lovely (rich cocoa – matte) to smoke the lash line out. I then lined my lower waterlines using more of the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner ($26 at Sephora) in the shade #74 Sunset (golden bronze- shimmer). I highlighted my inner corners of my eyes using the shade Cheeky (champagne – shimmer). I coated my lower and upper lashes using MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara ($20 at Ulta and MAC) and popped on a pair of ColourPop falsies ($8 on their website) in the style Mami. I then decided to add just a touch of warmth to the crease with the shade Top Notch (terracotta brown – matte) from my ColourPop palette.

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I used the 1st shade of the 1st row (coral) in the ELF Cream Blush Palette ($8 on their website) in the colorway Soft. I highlighted the high points of the face and the Cupid’s Bow using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish ($36 at Ulta and MAC) in the shade Soft & Gentle. I then further highlighted the Cupid’s Bow using more of the shade Cheeky (champagne – shimmer) from the BH palette. I set the blush using ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush ($8 on their website) in the shade Catch My Vibe (pale baby pink – matte). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Another Round (rosy nude) and then filled in my lips with a combo of Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick ($34 at Sephora) Bitch Perfect (peachy nude – matte) and BECCA Ultimate Lipstick Love ($24 on their website and on the Beautylish website) Tulip (pinky coral – satin).

Final Thoughts:

I have a 2 beauty purchases for the month of July already done, I should receive them by Wednesday – haul to be done same day.

I have a few more tags I want to do for this week as well.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
