Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK today… a little back pain and a little bit fatigued but all in all doing well.
Today I decided not to wear perfume. I just really love the way my body wash smells (Bath and Body Works – Vanilla Bean Noel: scent notes: at the top : Vanilla and Cream, the middle notes are Caramel and Chocolate, and the scent is rounded out with Musk and Sugar Cookie) so I wanted not to cover up the scent.
Well … let’s dive right in to today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:
I first primed with the Good Molecules Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer ($14 for 1.7 fluid ounces of product on the Beautylish website) and let that sink into the skin for about 10 minutes. I then primed my face with the ELF Jelly Pop Dew Primer ($10 for 1.01 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and on the ELF website) and let that primer sink in for about another 5 minutes. For my foundation today I’m wearing a combo of 5 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) and 3 squeezes of the No 7 Protect & Perfect Advanced All in One Foundation ($15.99 at Target) in the shade Calico. I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Medium/Deep. I bronzed my face using Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Grace Bay. I highlighted the high points of my face using the BECCA Ignite Liquified Light Highlighter ($38 for 1.5 fluid ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Passion (pale, iridescent pearl that reflects gold). I color corrected using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 on their website) in the shade light/medium and then concealed my under eyes using Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta) in the shade #3. I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Sephora and Ulta). I set the rest of my face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I bronzed my face using the BECCA Sunlit Bronzer ($38 on their website) in the shade Ipanema Sun (medium auburn brown). For touch ups I am using BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder (Originally $9.50 but on sale for $4.75 on their website) in the shade #230.

Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using ELF Lock On Liner & Brow Cream ($4 on their website) in the shade Medium Brown. I carved out my brows and primed my lids using Revolution Makeup Cut Crease Canvas Full Coverage Eye shadow Base ($9 on their website) in the shade Illustrate (flesh color). For today’s eye look I used 2 Too Faced palettes : The Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette (discontinued but can be found on Amazon for $46.50) and The Chocolate Bon Bon Palette (discontinued but can be found on Amazon for $42.98). I started by setting my brow line using the shade Coconut Cream (warm light beige with slight yellow undertones – matte) from the Semi Sweet palette. For my transition I chose the shade Mocha (dusty yellow toned medium brown – matte) from the Bon Bons palette. I then chose to also take this shade all over my mobile lid because I decided I wanted to do a smokey eye. For my crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I went back into the Semi Sweet Palette and did a combo of the shades Peanut Butter (a medium brown with a heavy orange undertone – matte) and Truffled (medium dark brown – matte). Sticking with the Semi Sweet Palette, I then deepened the very outter part of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease using a combo of the shades Puddin’ (grey toned medium brown – matte) and Licorice (dusty medium black – matte). I wanted to deepen the very outer part of the same area so I went in with just more of Licorice (dusty medium black – matte) and buffed it into the that very outer area. For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Bon Bon (medium copper with a warm brown undertone – metallic). I then went into the Bon Bons Palette and into the shade Molasses Chip (bronze with a copper undertones – metallic) and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to tie the lid together. I then took more of the shade Peanut Butter (a medium brown with a heavy orange undertone – matte) and tapped that along the very outer edge of the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to add just a hint of warmth to the look. I then took the ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow ($5 at Ulta) in the shade Flirty Birdy (a coral based peach) and tapped it lightly over the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid to add a bit of light to the look. For the lower lash line I started by creating a drop shadow with more of the shade Mocha (dusty yellow toned medium brown – matte) and then I took a combo of the shades Peanut Butter (a medium brown with a heavy orange undertone – matte) and Truffled (medium dark brown – matte) and added that to the lower lash line also. I then took more of Truffled (medium dark brown – matte) and deepened the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners of the eyes using the shade Satin Sheets (a cloudy pink with gold reflect – shimmer) from the Bon Bons Palette. I then went over my brow line to intensify it with the shade Divinity (creamy light biege with yellow undertones – matte) from the Bon Bons Palette. I lined my lower waterlines using Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner ($26 at Sephora) in the shade #74 Sunset (golden bronze- shimmer). I coated my lower and upper lashes using Believe Beauty Hi-Definition Skinny Mascara ($4.50 only at Dollar General Stores) and then popped on a pair of ColourPop falsies ($8 on their website) in the style Mami.

Cheeks and Lips:
For blush today I’m wearing Tarte Sugar Rush – Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 at Ulta) in Beaches & Cream. I set the cream blush using the slightest of taps into MAC Blush ($25 at MAC) in Pinch O’ Peach (slightly pink peach – matte). I touched up my highlight and highlighted the Cupid’s Bow using Revolution Highlighter Reloaded ($7 on their website) in the shade Just My Type (a deeper champagne). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Love Bug (rich mahogany) and filled in my lips using BECCA Glow Gloss ($22 on their website) in the shade Rose Gold (copper rose with soft gold pearl).

Final Thoughts:

I grade this product an A+!!! : ELF Jelly Pop Dew Primer $10 for 1.01 fluid ounces (at Ulta and on the ELF website). It’s billed as a hydrating, watermelon-infused primer with a unique jelly texture to give you lasting sheer color, dewy skin, and a healthy glow that works like glue to grip makeup to ensure it stays put. Packed with skin-loving ingredients, like hyaluronic acid and a powerful blend of antioxidants.
This smells so good and it’s super sticky! Foundation really does grip to it but it’s temperamental. This is the 2nd time I’ve used this primer and both times I had a hard time getting foundation to lay down smooth over the cheeks and nose. However, I found a way to make it work. I apply my foundation and then spray the sponge with setting spray and pick up a light layer of foundation and tap it over the area that is patchy or not laying down right and it blends it in perfectly. It’s a pretty good primer that doesn’t leave the face feeling heavy. If not for the fact that it’s a bit fiddly to work with I would have graded it higher.

I grade this product an A+++!!! : BECCA Glow Gloss $22 for .18 fluid ounces of product on their website: in the shade Rose Gold (the shade on the left in the 1st picture and on the right in the 2nd picture) and comes in 10 shades. It’s billed as a lip formula with the shine of a gloss, pigment of a liquid lipstick and nourishing benefits of a balm.
I love this lip gloss so much!!! It’s super hydrating, not sticky, and pretty long lasting. It doesn’t travel outside the lip line. It has a slight mint scent (it has peppermint oil in it) that gives the lips a bit of a cooling sensation. I like it so much that once I’ve used up the 2 deluxe samples that BECCA sent me with my last order I will be purchasing the full sizes. Heck, I think I might even pick up all 10 shades.

I grade this product a solid A+++!!! : Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner $26 for .01 ounces of product at Sephora : in the shade #74 Sunset and it comes in 37 shades and 3 finishes. It’s billed as a gel pot eyeliner in a crayon that delivers intense color and 12-hour waterproof wear and amazing glide.
I freaking LOVE this eyeliner formula and this shade is to die for!!! I never jumped on the band wagon when these first came out and I could kick myself for that! It is super creamy but don’t fade or smear. It doesn’t tug at my delicate eye skin and it lasts on my waterline all day. I am definitely picking up some of the other shades, this liner is like a potato chip …. you can’t have just 1!!!!

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.
Remember dolls, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO, Nita
The lipstick looks really nice with your blouse .
