Full Glam Cut Crease Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m feeling better today…. I might even makes some more soft pretzels today.

I wanted to go full glam today, just playing around … trying to perfect my cut crease work… this is what I came up with. For today’s look I used shades from 3 Juvia’s Place Palettes: (1) The Chocolates Palette ($14 on their website and at Ulta), (2) The Warrior Palette ($20 on their website), and (3) The Nubian 2 Palette ($28 on their website and at Ulta).

Today I am wearing Burberry Brit (scent notes are…. At the Top : Italian Lime, Icy Pear, Green Almond. In the Middle: Sugared Almond & White Peony. Rounding the Scent Out: Amber, Mahogany, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean).

Well let’s dive into today’s Face of the Day Walk-through.

Base:

I primed my face using Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer ($54 at Sephora) and then a layer of VDL Lumilayer Primer ($32 at Ulta) and then prepped my pores using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta and Sephora). I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Medium/Deep. For foundation today I am wearing Private Society Drops of Perfection ($30 on their website) in the shade Medium. I bronzed up the face using Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer ($32 at Sephora) in the shade 05 Teddy (tan skin tones). I highlighted the high points of my face using the BECCA Ignite Liquified Light Highlighter ($38 for 1.5 fluid ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Passion (pale, iridescent pearl that reflects gold). I color corrected using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 on their website) in the shade light/medium and then concealed my under eyes using JCat BEauty StaySurance Water Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer ($7.99 at Ulta) in the shade Custard. I set my under eyes using ELF Smooth and Set Eye Powder ($4 on their website) in the color sheer. I set the rest of my face using ELF Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8 on their website) in the color Light. I touched up the bronzer on my face using Milani Baked Radiance Bronzer ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade #09 Dolce. For touch ups I am using Catrice Cosmetics Prime & Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder ($7.49 at Ulta).

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using ELF Lock On Liner & Brow Cream ($4 on their website) in the shade Medium Brown.  I carved out my brows and primed my lids using Makeup Revolution Cut Crease Canvas Full Coverage Base ($9 on their website) in the shade Canvas (pure white). For today’s eye look I used shades from 3 Juvia’s Place Palettes: (1) The Chocolates Palette ($14 on their website and at Ulta), (2) The Warrior Palette ($20 on their website), and (3) The Nubian 2 Palette ($28 on their website and at Ulta). I started by setting my brow line using my Catrice Cosmetics Prime & Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder ($7.49 at Ulta). For my transition color I used a combo of the 2nd shade of the 2nd row (mustard yellow – matte) of the Chocolates Palette and the shade Kano (caramel – matte) from the Warrior Palette. For my outer v of the crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I used a combo of the 1st shade of the 2nd row (rich warm red – matte) of the Chocolates Palette, Madagascar (beige – matte) from the Nubian 2 Palette, and Ahosi (light cantaloupe – matte) from the Warrior Palette. For my crease I used a combo of Morocco (dark orange – matte) from the Nubian 2 Palette, Kano (caramel – matte) from the Warrior Palette, and the 2nd shade of the 2nd row (mustard yellow – matte) of the Chocolates Palette. I then deepened about 1/3 of the outer v of the crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using a combo of the shade Kenya (chocolate brown – matte) from the Nubian 2 Palette, the 1st shade of the 1st row (deep chocolate brown – matte) and the 3rd shade of the 1st row (deep brown with grey undertones – matte) of the Chocolates Palette. I then cut my creases of the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid up to the transition shade using more of the Makeup Revolution Cut Crease Canvas Full Coverage Base ($9 on their website) in the shade Canvas (pure white). I then went in with the shade Dahomey (russet gold – metallic) from the Warrior Palette and feathered that over the outer 1/3 of the cut crease. I then went into the shade Nefertiti (18 K Gold – shimmer) from the Nubian 2 Palette and feathered that over the middle 1/3 of the cut crease. I then went in with a combo of the shades Bakwa (gold – metallic) from the Warrior Palette and the shades Nairobi (yellow gold – metallic) and Zuri (ivory – shimmer) from the Nubian 2 Palette and feathered that over the inner 1/3 of the cut crease and also around the tear duct area of the inner corner of the eyes. I kept it simple for the lower lash line. I did a soft drop shadow using a combo of the shades Kano (caramel – matte) and Morocco (dark orange – matte). I then used more of the 3rd shade of the 1st row (deep brown with grey undertones – matte) of the Chocolates Palette to deepened the lash line.  I tight lined my upper and lower water line using Sephora 12HR Colorful Contour Eye Pencil ($11 at Sephora) in the shade Cocoa (Chocolate Brown) and did two coats of ColourPop BFF Mascara ($8 on their website) in the shade Black on Black and then popped on a pair of ColourPop Falsies ($8 on their website) in the style Mami.

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I chose the 1st shade of the 1st row (the coral shade) of the ELF Cream Blush Palette ($8 at Ulta and on the ELF website) and then set that with a slight tap of the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12HR Blush ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Captivating (bright peach – matte). I touched up my highlighter on the high points of my face and my Cupid’s Bow using JCat Beauty You Glow Girl Baked Highlighter ($8.99 at Ulta) in the shade YGG #102 Twilight (golden champagne). I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (this shade is only available in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils Vault – out of stock) in the shade Lumiere (dusty mauve pink) and then topped the lips off using L’Oreal Collection Exclusive Lipstick ($8 at Walmart) in the shade Julianne’s Nude (blush nude).

Final Thoughts:

I didn’t mean to go as glam as I did but I am super happy with the way it came out today. I think I should have chosen a terracotta nude for my lipstick but other than that I really do love the look.

I got confirmation that my Beautylish order will be here Wednesday and my Alter Ego order will be here on Monday.

I’m STILL waiting for my 4 orders from ColourPop to be processed…. it’s been 8 days and they’ve YET to process the darn orders. It’s super annoying but I do understand that processing and shipping may still be slow because of the Pandemic…. I just really can’t wait to get my hands on those palettes.

Well that’s all dolls. I hope you have a great day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
