2nd HAUL OF AUGUST 2020 (Beautylish)

My Beautylish Order

My second Beauty Buy order came in for the month of August 2020. I purchased all of this from Beautylish and the total came to $252.00, of which I put $102 down and have 2 more payments of $75 monthly for September and October.

I love taking advantage of Beautylish’s Flex Pay option … It allows me to purchase higher ticketed items and pay them down over 3 or 4 months.

So … let’s take a look at what I purchased….

*Remember …. all swatches are done on clean, bare skin, with no primer, and in 1 pass…. The swatch pictures on the left were taken with no flash and the ones on the right were taken with flash*

Z*Palette Double Sided Palette $36 on the Beautylish website: It’s billed as the ultimate tool for customizing and organizing makeup. Featuring a durable, reinforced clear window and open-face, magnetic base on each side, the Double-Sided Z Palette allows you TWICE the storage while still keeping all of your makeup in ONE easy place.

It holds 54 ColourPop sized single eyeshadow pans (27 on each side) and it’s measurements are:

Outside Length: 8.06 inches, Outside Width: 4.94 inches, Outside Depth: 1.06 inches, Inside Length: 7.44 inches, Inside Width: 4.13 inches, and Inside Depth: .25 inches.

It also came with a 40 pieces metal sticker set (20 round and 20 square).

For this palette I chose to store all of my neutrals, pinks/corals, oranges/bronzes, and taupes/browns, and greens, along with my go to black eyeshadow all from ColourPop.

Z*Palette Large Palette $22 on the Beautylish website: It’s billed as their  best selling palette will fit all your favorites in one place and claims that the large size of the empty palette plus the clear window makes it easy for you to display your collection and customize by brand or color.

It holds 27 ColourPop sized single eyeshadow pans and it’s measurements are:

Outside Length: 8.06 inches, Outside Width: 4.94 inches, Outside Depth: .56 inches, Inside Length: 7.44 inches, Inside Width: 4.13 inches, and Inside Depth: .25 inches.

It comes with a 20 piece metal sticker set (10 round and 10 square).

For this palette I chose to store all of my blues, mauves, and purples all from ColourPop. I have room for 9 more shadows (I did recently place an order for 12 more shades that I didn’t have as part of my ColourPop single shadow collection … and since I have a few shades that are duplicates I chose to remove 3 of the duplicates to make room for the 12 new shades I’m waiting on… I will store the 3 shades I removed in one of the little magnetic palettes that I got for free from ColourPop).

Good Molecules Silicon-Free Priming Moisturizer

$14 for 1.7 fluid ounces on the Beautylish website: It’s billed as being able to smooth, hydrate, and prep your skin for makeup with this lightweight daily moisturizer formulated with a natural silicone alternative that’s formulated with macadamia seed oil, Shea butter, and a naturally derived silicone alternative that works to strengthen, condition, and protect skin from environmental stress—all while creating a smooth, plumped-up canvas for flawless makeup application.

It’s a white creamy formula that blends in clear and glowy. If you look closely you can tell that it even blurs the texture of the back of my hand. I had 2 deluxe sample sized tubes of this and find that the best way for me to use it is after I clean up any eyeshadow fallout… since I use my BioDerma to clean up the fallout it takes most of my skin prep away so I use this to bring back moisture to the under eye area. I also add a little to my pores too.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss

$16 for .16 fluid ounces of product on the Beautylish website: I picked it up in the shade Girly (sparkling pink with a coral reflect). This lip gloss is billed as an opaque, high-shine lip color that has a flat sponge-tip applicator to deliver intense pigment with precision for an expert finish in a single swipe.

This color is not opaque at all it’s very sheer with hardly any pink color to it… there is tiny coral glitter to it that looks pretty but the glitter does stay behind when the gloss dissipates. This gloss formula has a sweet cherry scent to it. It’s tacky but not too tacky.

HourGlass Unreal High Shine Volumizing Lip Gloss

$30 for .20 fluid ounces of product on the Beautylish website. I picked it up in the shade Solar (Coral with gold pearl and a high shine). It’s billed as a deeply hydrating lip gloss that plumps without the sting and adds shine without the stickiness.

This color is very pigmented, not sticky at all, long lasting (I left the swatch on for 15 minutes and it was still glossy and pigmented), and does have some sparkle but it’s not a full on glitter bomb. It has a toothpaste mint scent to it that I don’t particularly like but it does dissipate quickly.

HourGlass Vanish Airbrush Concealer

$34 for .20 fluid ounces of product on the Beautylish website. It’s billed as a weightless liquid concealer that delivers full coverage with a seamless, airbrushed finish. It comes in 23 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones and I purchased it in the shade Creme (fair with pink undertones).

This is a light weight concealer with a slight pink tone to cancel out the blues and purples on my under eye area. As shown in the 3rd picture, it is full coverage and does cancel out the blues in my veins. Its truly pigmented so a little will go a long way.

Natasha Denona Mini Glam Palette

$25 for a 5 pan at .3 ounces of product on the Beautylish website. It’s billed as the perfect palette for at home or on-the-go. It contains 2 mattes and 2 metallic shadows.

The shades from left to right are: Golden Flesh (bronzed gold – metallic), Harlow (dark beige – matte), Anjo (cool grey toned brown – metallic), Seed (deep brown – matte) and Faye (sparkling champagne – metallic)

From these swatches I can tell that the metallics are very buttery and the mattes are not a pigmented as I had hoped but still pigmented enough that I know I’ll get a good look out of this palette. There was only kick back with the metallic shades.

Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette

$25 for a 5 pan at .3 ounces of product on the Beautylish website. It’s billed as an eyeshadow palette that is very user-friendly and the color scheme allows you to create a whole day or night eye makeup look. It comes with 2 metallics, 2 mattes & 1 duo chrome shadows.

The shades from left to right are: Bronzage (light copper – metallic), Quoin (gold – matte), Lumino (pearl – metallic), Sienna (terracotta – duo chrome), and Soil (medium nude – matte)

From these swatches I can tell that the metallics are very buttery and the mattes are pretty pigmented. There was some kick back with the mattes but I more kick back from the metallics.

Natasha Denona Mini Gold Palette

$25 for a 5 pan at .3 ounces of product on the Beautylish website. It’s billed as the perfect palette for at home or on-the-go with its compact size and gorgeous color scheme for multiple makeup looks. Inspired by the full-sized Gold Palette, this mini palette features muted greens, versatile neutrals, and a pop of rich gold. It comes with 2 mattes, 1 shimmer, 1 metallic, and 1 duo-chrome shadows.

The colors from left to right are: Lodge (creamy beige – matte), Dark Sepia (deep brown – shimmer), D’Or (rich gold – metallic), Bia (soft green – matte), and Antheia (golden green – duo chrome)

What I can tell from the swatches of this palette is that all these shadows are buttery and super pigmented and there was no kick back in the pans.

Natasha Denona Mini Star Palette

$25 for a 5 pan at .3 ounces of product on the Beautylish website. It’s billed as  the mini-sized version of Natasha’s Star Palette features five must-have shades in matte, metallic, shimmer, and duo chrome finishes. It comes with 1 duo chrome, 2 mattes, 1 metallic, and 1 shimmer shadows.

The colors from left to right are: Orion (deep blue/brown – duo chrome), Atik (sandy beige – matte), Bellatrix (rose gold – metallic), Earth (dark chocolate brown – matte), and Cosmo (golden olive – shimmer).

What I can tell from the swatches of this palette is that the mattes are just a bit dusty so primer would be your best bet when using these mattes. The shimmer, metallic, and duo chrome shadows are highly pigmented and super buttery. There are no kick back in the pans.

I will be testing out these new products this weekend. I have to rest today because I’m still not feeling very well.

Well dolls…. that’s it for this haul …. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
