Shop My Stash For 8/15/2020 through 8/21/2020

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m not feeling very well today and so I am taken the day off from playing with my makeup. I’m in a world of pain and have very low energy. So instead I figured I would do a shop my stash (since I am officially on a No Buy until January 2021…. I have made allowances for the possibility to pick a thing or two up but if I can help it I will not buy a thing until January 2021).

I would like to say my makeup collection is on the medium large side and because of that I was having a hard time deciding what to pick out for my shop my stash. I was watching YouTube (I forget the creator’s name) and this beauty guru was using an app called Tiny Decisions to pick her eyeshadow palettes for her shop my stash …. so I promptly down loaded it.

This app allows you to create a spinning wheel that you load with a question and then several items to choose from (each of those color’s on the wheel above represents a choice and when you spin the wheel it automatically picks one for you. You can pick what your wheel color is and how many items you want for each topic you want. You can do a wheel to decide where to eat, what activity to do on date night, what color to wear for the day…. I mean the possibilities are endless. Also there is even this really cool function that allows you to have the app choose a person. For instance … you’re at dinner with friends, you can each put your finger on the screen and the phone will choose who has to pay for dinner. This works for 2-10 people and the possibilities for this feature are just as endless as with the wheel… no one wants to do the dinner dishes? Everyone puts a finger on the screen and the phone chooses the person to do the dishes …. everyone fighting over what movie to watch? Everyone puts a finger on the screen and the phone chooses the person who gets to pick the movie.

So I used this app and created a wheel for my primers, foundations, concealers, touch up powders, bronzers, blushes, highlighters, eyeshadow palettes, and mascaras since these are the items that I have the most of everything in …. I opted not to include lipsticks, lip liners and eye liners because those things are dependent on what my eye look comes out looking like. I also did not do one for my single shadows, eye brow products, and perfumes because those are things that I chose based on how I’m feeling for the day….. So I used the app and chose out my items for this week’s (the first week in my new series of shop my stash) makeup….. Let’s take a look at what the Tiny Decisions App chose for me this week ….

The Sterilite box that I will be keeping my week’s worth of makeup in on my vanity.

I eventually want to purchase a small 4 or 5 drawer acrylic makeup storage unit but will not be doing that until my no buy is over.

The Glow Primers

The app chose: MAC Strobe Cream in Pinklite and VDL Lumilayer. I chose to only chose 2 for the full week because you really don’t need a ton of product to add glow to the face.

The Base Primers

The app chose: Dior Back Stage Primer, NYX Angel Veil, Rimmel Lasting Finish, and ELF Jelly Pop. I chose 4 for this option since I will be using this stash for a full 7 days … I figured the 1/2 way point for 7 days is 3.5 so I rounded up to 4 days …. this gives me plenty of options for the week.

The Concealers

The app chose: BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer (in the shade Porcelain), L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow (in the shade Classic Ivory), L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear (in the shade Cashmere), and Urban Decay Naked Skin (in the shade med/light neutral).

The Foundations

The app chose: ELF Flawless Finish (in the shade Sand), NYX Born to Glow (in the shade Nude), Juvia’s Place I Am Magic (in the shade Alexandria), and Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Long-wear (in the shade #120 fair skin with neutral undertones).

The Cream Bronzers

The app chose: Bare Minerals Bare Pro Glow (in the shade warmth) and Fenty Beauty (in the shade Teddy). I only chose 2 since you only need the slightest amount and I use my cream bronzers as a base that I touch up with powder bronzer anyway.

The Powder Bronzers

The app chose: Benefit Babe on Board (Hula bronzer) and Makeup Revolution Bronzer Reloaded (in the shade Take a Vacation).

The Liquid Highlighter

The app chose: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand (in the shade Spotlight). I only chose to go with 1 because a very little is all that is needed.

The Powder Highlighters

The app chose: Jouer (in the shade Citrine) and RachLoves x Pixi The Layers Palette. I only chose to go with these 2 since the Pixi palette has 5 shades to chose from.

The Cream Blushes

The app chose: ELF Cream Blush Palette (in the soft colorway) and ColourPop Super Shock Blush (in the shade Quarters). Again since the app chose a blush palette I chose not to pick more options.

The Powder Blushes

The app chose: MAC (in the shade Pinch O’ Peach) and Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR (in the shade Blissful.

The Eyeshadow Palettes

The app chose: Believe Beauty (in the color story Nearly Nude), ColourPop Double Entendre, Makeup Revolution Reloaded (in the color story Nude Mattes), and ELF 18 Hit Wonders.

The Bonus Palette

Since I still have several palettes that I purchased for the month of August 2020 I still would like to test and review the new palettes … so I chose 1 of the new palettes as a “bonus” palette for this first week …. This week I chose the Alter Ego Artemis Palette since I have only used 11 of the 28 shadows in this palette I still have not formed a definitive opinion on it…. so I will take this week to keep playing with this one.

The Mascaras

The app chose: Benefit Roller Lash and Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes.

The Touch Up Powders

The app chose: MAC Skinfinsh (in the shade Medium Golden), NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat (in the shade Medium Beige) and Pixi by Petra Color Correcting Powder (in the shade #2 Nude).

Well there you have it dolls. My first Shop My Stash box for the week of 8/15/2020 through 8/21/2020.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
