Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. Woke up feeling fully rested for the first time in a while and my pain level is only around a 5 today (that’s my base line pain level so it’s as close to normal as I will ever come), and it’s the weekend so I get to spend time with my hubby who has been working so hard this past week.
For today’s look I used 2 palettes: ELF 18 Hit Wonders and Natasha Denona Mini Nude.
For today’s scent I am wearing Versace Red Jeans perfume. The scent notes are… At the Top: Peach, Black Currant, Apricot, and Freesia. In the Middle: Rose, Violet, Lily of the Valley, and Water Lily. Rounded Out By: Musk, Vanilla, and Sandalwood.
Let’s take a look at the walk through for today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:
Today I primed using I Heart Revolution Coconut Dream Hydrating Primer ($8 at Ulta) in combo with Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Primer ($22 on their website) for a bit of glow. I primed my pores using ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta). I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium Dark. I chose the Hour Glass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($46 at Sephora) in the shade Buff (light, warm undertone). I bronzed my face using bareMinerals barePro Glow Bronzer ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Warmth (terracotta bronze best for medium to deep skin tones). I color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. For concealer today I am using L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear More Than Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) in the shade #360 Cashmere. I highlighted the high points of my face using the ELF Jelly Highlighter ($6 on their website) in the shade Dew (gold). I set my under eyes using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set the rest of my face using ELF Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8 on their website) in the color Light. I touched up the bronzer on my face using Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer ($26 mini – .04 ounces of product and $52 for the full sized – .39 ounces of product at Sephora) in the shade Radiant Bronze Light (a warm bronze ideal for medium/deep complexions). For touch ups I am using Pixi by Petra Color Correcting Powder ($20 at Target) in the shade #2 Nude.

Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using Believe Beauty Brow Defining Pencil ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brows using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then primed my lids using the P Louise Base ($13.07 on their website or at Morphe’s website ) in the shade Rumour. For today’s eye look I used 2 palettes: Natasha Denona Mini Nude Platte ($25 at Sephora) and ELF 18 Hit Wonders Palette ($14 on their website). I started with the Mini Nude palette. I used the shade Quoin (golden tan – matte) as my transition shade. I then switched to the 18 Hits palette. I took the shade Summer (yellow orange – matte) as my crease shade. For my outer v and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Heat (deep red based orange – matte). I then went back into the Mini Nude and picked up the shade Soil (medium chocolate brown – matte) to deepen up the very outer part of the outer v and then buffed it that shade out with more of Heat (deep red based orange – matte) from the 18 Hit palette. For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Moss (copper with a duo-chrome of moss green – metallic). For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Quoin (golden tan – matte) from the Mini Nude palette and then buffed the shadow out with more of the shade Summer (yellow orange – matte) from the 18 Hit palette. I then took more of the shade Soil (medium chocolate brown – matte) from the Mini Nude palette to darken my lash line. I then went over the whole under eye with more of the shade Heat (deep red based orange – matte) from the 18 Hit palette. I highlighted the inner corner of my eyes using the shade Lumino (pearl – metallic) from the Mini Nude Palette. I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Gel Liner ($6 at ColourPop) in the shade Joy Ride (deepened burgundy). I used 1 coat of mascara using Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) and then popped on a pair of Alter Ego False Lashes ($5 on their website) in the style Flare.

Cheeks and Lips:
For blush today I am wearing the 2nd shade (light bubble gum pink) of the 2nd row of the ELF Cream Blush Palette ($8 at Ulta and on their website) in the colorway Soft.I lightly set that using Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush ($24 for the mini – .04 ounces of product and $40 for the full sized .15 ounces of product at Sephora) in the shade Defused Heat (vibrant poppy). I touched up my highlighter using the shade Lace (pale icy pink) from the RachhLoves x Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 on their website and at Target). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (this shade is only in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils Vault…. currently out of stock) in the shade Oh Sis (smoked paprika). I then used 5 dots for both my upper and lower lip of Alter Ego Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6 on their website) in the shade Crush (terracotta pink) and topped that with BECCA Glow Gloss ($22 on their website) in the shade Rose Gold (copper rose with soft gold pearl).

Final Thoughts:

I grade this liquid bronzer a solid A++ : bareMinerals barePro Glow Bronzer $29 for .47 fluid ounces in the shade Warmth (terracotta bronze best for medium to deep skin tones). This products bills as being a versatile liquid bronzer that provides sheer, natural-looking color that lasts up to 16 hours and having a bi-phase formula with light-reflecting mineral pearls that provides sheer, natural-looking color that flatters any skin tone.
It also says that there are 4 ways to use this product: #1. For focused bronze: Using your ring finger, dot barePro Glow Bronzer in a half-moon shape from cheekbones to brow bones. Blend in with a dense face brush of your choice. Layer for a more intense bronze glow. #2. For all-over bonze: Mix 1 pump of barePro Glow Bronzer with 1 pump of your foundation and blend with your fingers. #3. For a sun-kissed, no-makeup look: Mix 1 pump of barePro Glow Bronzer with your favorite skincare products or tinted moisturizer. and #4. For a subtle body bronzer: Mix 1 pump of BAREPRO GLOW BRONZER with your body lotion.
This bronzer comes in 2 shades Faux Tan (sun-kissed bronze best for fair to medium skin tones) and Warmth (terracotta bronze best for medium to deep skin tones).
When I first purchased this bronzer and swatched it I noticed it was incredibly liquidy and appeared to be very sheer. I even mentioned that I did not think I was going to like this bronzer. After I tried the first time I truly hated it. I had applied it with my fingers and it was patchy and streaky and just did not preform well at all. However, I attempted to use it again today, this time with a densely packed fan styled bronzer brush that I believe is from ELF and I am now in love with this bronzer! It buffed in so seamlessly and sheered out just the right amount to leave with kissed by the sun glow behind. It also did not look glittery as it did when I applied it with my fingers. It didn’t take a lot to bronze my face … just 1 light pump of product.
This is the reason I enjoy forcing myself to switch products often … because I can revisit products that, upon first impression, I did not like…test them in a different way and perhaps fall in love with the product.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.
XOXO, Nita
