Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I received some extremely heart breaking news today… new’s that as of right now I can not share with you but I do ask that, if you could, you please say a prayer for both myself and and my family. I promise to update you all on the matter shortly but for right now we just ask for prayers.
I am still using items from my shop my stash blog post so for today’s eye look I used the Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette and the Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Basic Mattes Palette.
Today’s scent is Elizabeth Arden Red Door Revealed. The scent notes are… At the Top: Green Coral Orchid, Pear and Pink Peony. In the Middle: Tahitian Gardenia, Yellow Champaca, Plum, Casablanca Lily, Bulgarian Rose and Orange Blossom. Rounded Out By: Oak Moss, Mackay Orchid, Black Amber, Musk and Guaiac Wood.
Now on to the walk-through of today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:
I primed my facing using Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Primer ($5.59 on Amazon) in combo with Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Primer ($22 on their website) for a bit of glow. I primed my pores using ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta). I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium Dark. I chose Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation ($35 at Sephora) in the shade #120 (for fair skin with neutral undertones). I bronzed my face using bareMinerals barePro Glow Bronzer ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Warmth (terracotta bronze best for medium to deep skin tones). I color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. For concealer today I am using BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer ($32 on their website) in the shade Porcelain. I highlighted the high points of my face using the ELF Jelly Highlighter ($6 on their website) in the shade Dew (gold). I set my under eyes using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set the rest of my face using ELF Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8 on their website) in the color Light. I touched up the bronzer on my face using Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer ($26 mini – .04 ounces of product and $52 for the full sized – .39 ounces of product at Sephora) in the shade Radiant Bronze Light (a warm bronze ideal for medium/deep complexions). For touch ups I am using Pixi by Petra Color Correcting Powder ($20 at Target) in the shade #2 Nude.

Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using Believe Beauty Brow Defining Pencil ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brows using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then primed my lids using the P Louise Base ($13.07 on their website or at Morphe’s website ) in the shade Rumour. For today’s eye look I used 2 palettes: Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette ($25 at Sephora) and the Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Basic Mattes Palette ($8 on their website). I started with the Basic Mattes Palette. For my transition I used the 4th shade of the 1st row (a camel tan – matte). For my outer v and the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the 2nd shade of the 3rd row (a light terracotta brown – matte). I then went in with 5th shade of the 2nd row (a medium chocolate brown – matte) to deepen up the very outer part of the outer v and then went back over it with the 1st shade of the 3rd row (a deep terracotta brown – matte) to tie the shades together better. I used the shade Bronzage (light copper – chroma crystal) for the remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid. I then took the shade Sienna (terracotta/ taupe – duo chrome) and tapped that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to add a bit more dimension to the lid. For my lower lash line I went back to the Basic Matte Palette and took a combo of the 4th shade of the 1st row (a camel tan – matte) and the 5th shade of the 1st row (an orange based tan – matte) to create a drop shadow. I then took more of the 1st shade of the 3rd row (a deep terracotta brown – matte) closest to the lash line to add depth. I switched to the Mini Nude Palette. I took the 1st shade of the 1st row (a creamy beige – matte) to set my brow line and then took the shade Lumino (pearl – metallic) to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. I tight lined my upper and lower waterlines using Sephora 12hr Colorful Contour Eyeliner ($11 at Sephora) in the shade #14 Cocoa (Chocolate). I used 1 coat of mascara using Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) and then popped on a pair of Alter Ego False Lashes ($5 on their website) in the style Flare.

Cheeks and Lips:
For blush today I chose Tarte Sugar Rush – Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 at Ulta) in the shade Beaches & Cream (peachy pink). I lightly set that using Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush ($24 for the mini – .04 ounces of product and $40 for the full sized .15 ounces of product at Sephora) in the shade Defused Heat (vibrant poppy). I touched up my highlighter using Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder ($44 at Sephora) in the shade Highlight 01 (golden nude). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (this shade is only in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils Vault…. currently out of stock) in the shade Oh Sis (smoked paprika). I then used 5 dots for both my upper and lower lip of Alter Ego Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6 on their website) in the shade Crush (terracotta pink) and topped that with NARS Lip Gloss ($24 on their website) in the shade Striptease (sheer nude).

Final Thoughts:
I finally finished another eye brow pencil. This is the great thing about shopping my stash …. it helps me get through items that have literally have been sitting in my stash for months without being used. I do love the Believe Beauty brand but I’m not sure how I feel about the Brow Defining Pencil. It’s more of a pomade in pencil form than it is a true brow pencil…. but it doesn’t set down so I almost always end up having to touch up my brows later in the day. It’s a wooden pencil so I end up having to sharpen the pencil about 4 to 5 times per brow to get a full brow done… I just don’t know that it’s worth that much work. It’s inexpensive so I don’t mind it really but I just think I love other pencils more.
I checked my ColourPop orders and they have arrived at the post office in Florida so looks like I might be getting my purchases before their set time of Thursday… I’ll haul them when I receive them.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are both happy and healthy.
XOXO, Nita

We didn’t yet, but there’s never a clear answer. The fire is still burning and even if they manage to contain this one, there’s still 2.5 more months of fire season, so there’s always a chance. I can’t wait to move.
