Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK today. I have a small headache and my body has a tremble in it (this happens when my muscles are fatigued. It’s typically an indication that I’m about to have a bad muscle spasm day).
Today I felt like doing a glam smokey eye and for this look I used the ELF 18 Hit Wonders Palette ($14 on their website) and the Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Basic Mattes Palette ($8 on their website).
Today’s scent is Liz Claiborne Bora Bora perfume. The scent notes are…. At the Top: Mandarin Orange, Iris, Water Lily, Coral Flower, and Tahitian Gardenia. In the Middle: Plumeria, Jasmine. Citrus Blossom, and Orchid. Rounded Out By: Tuberose, Ginger, Sandalwood, Queen of the Night Flower (cactus), and Mango Musk.
On to the walk through of today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:
I primed my facing using ELF Jelly Pop Dew Primer ($10 on their website). I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium Dark. I chose NYX Born This Way Naturally Radiant Foundation ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Nude. I bronzed my face using Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer ($28 at Sephora) in Baked. I color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. For concealer today I am using L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Waterproof Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) in #360 Cashmere. I highlighted the high points of my face using the ELF Jelly Highlighter ($6 on their website) in the shade Dew (gold). I set my under eyes using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set the rest of my face using ELF Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8 on their website) in the color Light. I touched up the bronzer on my face using Flower Beauty Heat Wave Luminous Bronzer ($9 on their website) in the shade sun Swept. For touch ups I am using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish ($36 at Ulta) in the shade Medium Golden.

Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using Pixi by Petra Endless Brow Gel Pen ($10.99 at Target) in the shade Deep. I carved out my brows using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and then primed my lids using the P Louise Base ($13.07 on their website or at Morphe’s website ) in the shade Rumour. For today’s eye look I used 2 Palettes: the ELF 18 Hit Wonders Palette ($14 on their website) and the Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Basic Mattes Palette ($8 on their website). I started with the Re-Loaded palette. I set my brow line using the 1st shade of the 1st row (creamy pale beige – matte). I used the 1st shade of the 2nd row (cool toned light brown – matte) for my full lid from lash to brow bone. I switched to the 18 Hit palette. I deepened the outer v and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid with the shade Supreme (a dusty deep plummy berry – matte). for the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Danger (deep cranberry berry – metallic). I then went back to the Re-Loaded palette and took the 2nd shade of the 2nd row (orange base tan – matte) and buffed that over the middle between the brow line and the transition shade to just add a bit of dimension to the eye. On the lower lash line I took more of the 2nd shade of the 2nd row (orange base tan – matte) and created a deep drop shadow. I then took more of the 1st shade of the 2nd row (cool toned light brown – matte) and buffed that over the under eye and then I took just a tiny bit of the shade Supreme (a dusty deep plummy berry – matte) from the 18 Hit Palette to add a bit of depth to the lash line. I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes with the Wet n Wild Color Icon single shadow ($.99 at Walgreens) in the shade Sugar (icy white – shimmer). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold – metallic). I coated my lashes with Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) and popped on a pair of Alter Ego False Lashes ($5 on their website) in the style Flare.

Cheeks and Lips:
For blush today I am wearing Sugar Rush – Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 at Ulta) in the shade Beaches & Cream (peachy pink). I lightly set that with the shade Rose Petal (bright cool toned rose – matte) from the Private Society Secret Admirer Palette ($42 on their website). I touched up my highlighter using Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder ($44 at Sephora) in the shade Highlight 01 (golden nude). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (Only available in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils Vault – currently sold out) in the shade BFF 2 (mid-tone nude) and filled in my lips using Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint ($20 at Ulta) in the shade Exposed (pale mauve) and then topped that with BECCA Glow Gloss ($22 on their website) in the shade Rose Gold (copper rose with soft gold pearl).

Final Thoughts:
I truly love the way my makeup came out today. I love the mix of cool and warm tones together. I love how glam the eyes turned out…. I started to do a wing liner then changed my mind and I’m so glad I did because I think that winged liner would have made this eye look turn out totally different.
So I tried the ELF Jelly Pop Dew Primer again and I gotta say I am really liking it now. I have found if I use less and really rub it into the face it’s a pretty good primer… it definitely is a solid dupe for the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer.
I finally got my ColourPop order!!! I will be using the foundation tomorrow to test it out along with the lighter shade of the concealer too. I put the palettes on my Tiny Decisions app so that I can put them in rotation for the next time I shop my stash. The only thing I did not add to the list was the single shadows because I have the ColourPop singles on my eye palette wheel so I will have the chance to use them if that palette pops up in the spin.

Well, that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great health and spirits.
XOXO, Nita
I love the plum shades! Muscle spasms are the worst. Today I woke up with a pull in my left neck and shoulder and I couldn’t even get my own breakfast. That happens when I overwork on the computer and I’m left handed so the whole area is overworked and turns into a nasty sprain. I should not be on the computer at all but I push through it when I can. Does heat help you? It doesn’t do much for me regarding pain, but at least it loosens up the stiffness.

Thanks. No heat never really helps much. I want to buy a TENS machine to help but I’m waiting to see if the Insurance will pay for it first

Oh I hope they do cover it. Ice helps me more than heat, but ice is dangerous because you can get frostbite. I almost damaged my skin a couple of times because I had ice on for too long!
