Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m feeling a tad run down today. The weather here in Florida is crappy and that of course is causing me a heap of pain and it’s also hair wash day so my energy is extremely low now (Forgive the poofy hair… freshly washed curly hair on a rainy day never equals a good hair day).
I was feeling fall time weather so I decided to do a fall time smokey eye using the ColourPop Bare Necessities Palette ($34 on their website). It’s not my favorite look I feel like I look over all a bit too bronzed and I should have added a bit more color to the cheeks and lips … all in all though it’s a nice fall time look.
Today’s scent is Giorgio Beverly Hills Wings perfume. The scent notes are… At the Top: Marigold, Passion Flower, Rose, Gardenia, Lily, and Osmanthus (devil wood). In the Middle: Cyclamen, Lilac, Orchid, Jasmine, and Heliotrope. Rounding the Scent Out: Amber, Musk, Cedar and Sandalwood.
Time to dive into the walk through of today’s Face of the Day ….

Base:
I primed my face using Milani Prime Perfection Primer ($9.99 at Ulta). I used a touch of the Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer ($15.99 on their website) on the high points of my face and I used the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) on my pores. I contoured my face using NYX Wonder Stick ($12 at Ulta) in Deep. For foundation today I used Il Makiage Woke Up Like This Foundation ($44 on their website) in the shade #040. I bronzed my face using Juvia’s Place Shade Stick Foundation ($8 on their website) in the shade Guinea (dark skin with neutral cool undertones). I color corrected my under eyes using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 at Ulta) in the shade Light to Medium. For concealer I used Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the shade #27H light/medium honey (light/medium skin with peach undertones). I highlighted the high points of my face using Believe Beauty All Over Glow ) in the shade Forbidden Kiss. I set my under eyes using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set the rest of my face using ELF Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8 on their website) in the color Light. I touched up the bronzer using the 2nd bronze shade of the Catrice California in a Box palette ($15 at Ulta). For touch ups I am using ELF Beautifully Bare Finishing Powder ($6 at Ulta) in the shade Fair/Light.

Eyes:
I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using Pixi by Petra Endless Brow Gel Pen ($10.99 at Target) in the shade Deep. I carved out my brows using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and then primed my lids using the P Louise Base ($13.07 on their website or at Morphe’s website ) in the shade Rumour. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Bare Necessities Palette ($34 on their website). I started by setting the brow line using the shade Full Exposé (creamy vanilla – matte). As my transition shade I chose the color Complicated (warm rust brown with gold pinpoints – sequin matte). For my crease shade I chose the color Haute (terracotta with copper flecks – sequin matte). To deepen the outer v and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Crack On (chestnut brown – matte). I then decided I wanted to do a halo smokey eye so I took more of the shade Haute (terracotta with copper flecks – sequin matte) and packed that onto the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid followed by more of Crack On (chestnut brown – matte) for the very outer part of the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then used the shade Fuzzy (true red copper – metallic) for the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid and to lighten the halo a bit I took the shade Silk Teddy (nude champagne – metallic)and tapped that over the very center of the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid. For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using what was left on the transition shade brush and the crease shade brush. I then high lighted the inner corners of my eyes using more of the shade Silk Teddy (nude champagne – metallic). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold – metallic) and coated my upper and lower lashes in 1 coat of Believe Beauty Hi Definition Skinny Mascara and popped on a pair of Alter Ego False Lashes ($5 on their website) in the style Flare.

Cheeks and Lips:
For blush today I chose Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush ($20 at Sephora) in the shade #06 Daiquiri Dip (Soft coral red) which I lightly set with the 1st blush shade of the Catrice California in a Box palette ($15 at Ulta). I also used this palette to touch up my highlighter. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade BFF (warm nude) and then topped off the lips with ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Cookie (warm brown nude – matte).

My lighting the past few days has been pretty bleak and so my pictures haven’t really been the best. I am currently working on getting better exposure for my blog pictures… bare with me …. it’s a process and I know absolutely nothing about lighting for pictures.
I did like the colors I chose for my eyes … I just think if I would have paired it with a better choice in lip color and blush I would have liked it a bit more. I also don’t light the shade of shape tape I have … I need a bit more brightness under my eyes … so I think that’s another thing that makes me not like this look as much as I had thought about it in my head. I may have to recreate this look again later this week to see if I can do the look I planned in my head a bit more justice.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.
XOXO, Nita
I hate hair wash day, it hurts my neck and back washing/drying/styling and my hair takes forever to dry! It’s suuuuper straight and thin. But would I complain? LOL! Love your look today, I like how the lips are natural. You look good in all lipcolors!
