Full Glam Halo Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey. How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing so/so today. I’m still in a heap of pain and my energy ebbs and flows but all in all I am doing OK.

I really felt like wearing a red lippie today and I wanted to do a halo eye so I just went all out glam for today’s look.

For today’s look I used the Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Palette ($48 at Sephora).

Today’s Scent is Juicy Couture. The scent notes are:

  • Top Notes: Watermelon, Mandarin, Pink Passion Fruit, Green Leaves, Water Hyacinth, Green Apple, and Marigolds.
  • Middle Notes: Tuber Rose, Princess Lily, Wild Rose and Gardenia.
  • Base Notes: Caramel Creme Brulee, Vanilla, Precious Woods, Patchouli.

Time to go into the walk through of today’s Face of the Day ….

Base:

I primed my face using HourGlass Veil Mineral Primer ($54 at Sephora). I used a touch of the Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer ($15.99 on their website) on the high points of my face and I used the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) on my pores. I contoured my face using the NYX Wonder Stick ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Deep. For foundation today I used Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation ($64 at Sephora) in the shade #5.5 (medium skin with neutral undertone) this shade is just a bit too deep for my skin tone now so I added in a bit of white foundation adjuster to get my perfect shade. I bronzed my face using Juvia’s Place Shade Stick ($16 on their website) in the shade Guinea (Dark skin with neutral cool undertone). I color corrected my under eyes using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 at Ulta) in the shade Light to Medium. For concealer I used Il Makiage F*uck I’m Flawless Concealer ($28 on their website) in the shade #2.5.  I set my under eyes using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set the rest of my face using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I touched up the bronzer using BECCA Sunlit Bronzer ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Ipanema Sun (medium auburn-brown). For touch ups I am using ELF Beautifully Bare Finishing Powder ($6 at Ulta) in the shade Fair/Light.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brows and primed my lids using P Louise Base ($13.07 on their website or at Morphe’s website ) in the shade Rumour. For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Palette ($48 at Sephora). I first set my brow line using the shade Matt Malloy (pure white – matte) from the Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette (discontinued but sold on Amazon for $35). I then went into the Natural Nudes Palette. For my transition I used a combo of the shades  Petal (light peachy pink – matte) and Warm Rose (rosy nude – matte). For my crease and the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade Cocoa (medium chocolate brown – matte). I deepened the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lids and the outer v of the crease with the shade Truffle (deep rich brown – matte). For the middle 1/3 I created a halo using a combo of the shades  Rose Gold (rose gold – metallic) and Sparkling Rum (rose mauve – metallic). For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow with more of the combo of Petal (light peachy pink – matte) and Warm Rose (rosy nude – matte). I then deepened the lash line with more of the shade Truffle (deep rich brown – matte). I then created a halo on the lower lash line to match the one on my mobile lids using the combo of the shades Sparkling Sand (rose taupe – metallic), Rose Gold (rose gold – metallic) and Glistening Snow (white with a gold shift – metallic). I then took a bit of the shade Cocoa (medium chocolate brown – matte) to buff out the lower lash line for a more defused drop shadow. I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using Jouer Powder Highlighter ($25 at Sephora) in the shade Citrine (shimmering gold).  I tight lined my upper and lower waterlines using the Sephora 12hr Colorful Contour Eyeliner ($11 at Sephora)in the shade #14 Cocoa (chocolate brown) and I coated my lashes in Believe Beauty Hi-Definition Skin Mascara ($4.50 only at Dollar General Stores) and pooped on a pair of Alter Ego False Lashes ($5 on their website) in the style Plush.

Cheeks and Lips:

For my cheeks today I chose Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush ($20 at Sephora) in the shade #06 Daiquiri Dip (soft coral red). I set that lightly using Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 at Ulta) in the shade Peaches and Creams (dusty pastel peach). I touched up my highlighter using Jouer Powder Highlighter ($25 at Sephora) in the shade Citrine (shimmering gold). I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Bichette (deepened red). I topped my lips off using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Jam Sesh (true blue toned redmatte).

Final Thoughts:

I feel happy that I was finally able to use my Shop My Stash Box for a solid week (almost only 1 day left). It was fun coming up with looks this week.

I can’t wait to see what next week’s box will hold.

I did end up decluttering the Private Society foundation in the shade Medium. It was just the wrong tone and the wrong shade for me and even with using a white mix-in the tone was just too orange based for my liking… I don’t think I will repurchase it in a better shade as I didn’t like it enough to miss it from my collection.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

XOXO, Nita
