Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing Ok. My R.A. has been acting up but I have an appointment next month with a new R.A. specialist so wish me luck.

I do a small Ulta haul this month to take advantage of some of my accumulating point. The order was shipped in 2 boxes and I have only received 1… I’ll get the other box on Thursday. My first haul of 2021 can be found on the post titled January 2021 ColourPop Haul

Let’s jump into this haul and swatches.

* All products were purchased by me, links to the products mentions are in purple hyperlinks and are given so you can find the products faster… they are in no way affiliate or influencer links and as always all swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and in 1 swipe… the photos on the left or top are without flash and the ones on the right or bottom is with flash*

NYX Glitter Primer $6.50 at Ulta for .33 ounces of product

This product is billed as  the holy grail product that will literally change your eye makeup routine. Minimize glitter fallout and keep each and every sparkle in its place with NYX Professional Makeup’s Glitter Primer. No more glitter mess! Specifically formulated to lock glitter and foil into place.

I previously purchased this primer sometime last year and the nozzle was broken on it so the product dried up faster than I could really test it out. Since I ran out of my Too Faced Glitter Primer I though I’d give it another go to see if I get along with it. I’ll keep you updated.

Revolution Pro Define and Fill Brow Pencil $8 at Ulta for .004 ounces of product in the shade Dark Brown

This brow pencil is billed as the natural looking brows you’ve always dreamed of with Revolution PRO Define and Fill Brow Pencil. This ultra-fine brow pencil creates the most convincing hair-like strokes for a natural and soft looking brow. The weighted component sits comfortably in the hand in order to support precise application, letting you be in control of your own brows. Once you have filled in your brows, flip the pencil over and blend through with the soft bristle spoolie for the most natural finish. It comes in 3 shades, warm brown, ash brown and deep brown. I always use deep brown.

This is one of my all time favorite brow pencils. I have repurchased this one more than any other brow product I have tried. I have 1 in my makeup desk and 1 on back up and decided to purchase 1 more back up since I will be getting back into makeup now that my depression episode is over.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss with Hyaluronic Acid $8.99 at Ulta for .18 ounces of product.

This lip gloss is billed as Maybelline New York’s new next level lip gloss. Drench lips with hydrating shine for a fuller, lifted look. Lip Lifter Lip Gloss’s formula visibly smooths lip surface and enhances lip contour with high shine. Plus, its XL wand transforms lips in an easy, one swipe application. It comes in 10 shades and I purchased it in the shade Amber (warm coral).

What I have learned from this swatch: There is a pleasant sweet caramel cream scent. It’s not sticky bit is a little gloopy, being a bit thicker than I normally like for a lip gloss. I think that’s do to the Hyaluronic acid in the formula. It’s got great pigmentation for a lip gloss with Hyaluronic acid… typically you trade pigmentation for the hydrating effect of having this acid in your lip products.

Makeup Revolution Hydra Bomb Lip Gloss $7 at Ulta for .16 ounces of product.

This product is billed as a high-shine and non-sticky lip gloss formulated with hyaluronic acid and peptides, to hydrate lips and slightly plump, for a fuller-looking appearance and glossy finish. It comes in 6 shades and I purchased it in the shade Drippin (a milky pink coral).

What I have learned from this swatch: I did test it out on my lips and did not feel any type of plump to my lips. It has a very faint vanilla/coconut scent to it… barely there but pleasant. It’s again another gloopy lip gloss and is thicker than I am use to and again this is do to the fact that it has Sodium Hyaluronate (a salt derived from Hyaluronic acid so it will be thicker than a standard gloss. It’s also high pigment.

NYX Shine Loud Pro Pigment Lip Shine $11.50 at Ulta for .22 ounces of product

This lip stain is billed as the 1st ultra-pigmented high shine lip color, with up to 16hr zero color transfer wear. No smudge, no bleed, no fade: you can kiss, drink, hair flip and even wear it under your mask! This 2 step technology delivers comfortable 1 swipe bold color, with an ultra-glossy, non-sticky finish and claims that it only needs 90 seconds to dry. It comes in 24 shades and I purchased the shade Born to Hustle (muted rose).

What I have learned from this swatch: This lip stick is all over social media right now so naturally I had to get it and test it out for myself. On TikTok everyone says it dries super fast and is transfer proof… well……. First off it’s completely scent free which is great for me these days since I get nauseous when I’m in pain. Second it’s a very thin formula with super high pigment in it. I left it on for around 5 minutes before adding the gloss over top and as you can see from the 3rd picture and it the 2 swatch pictures …. it was not transfer proof at that point and did smear a little bit. Now in all fairness I might have layered it on a bit thicker than I would on my lips and so I’ll have to try it out and tell you about it in an up coming Face of the Day post …. I added the gloss to only have of the swatch because I wanted to see the difference. The product on it’s own is very comfortable … not drying at all and was super glossy with the clear gloss over top…. when I went to remove this product I had to use a combo of coconut oil, makeup remover (Bioderma) and a hint of dish soap… that was for the whole swatch (even the side with the gloss wouldn’t come off) I also had to rub a bit harder than I prefer for the delicate lip skin.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation $9 at Ulta for .21 ounces of product

This foundation is billed as Foundation just got faster! Available in multiple shades and a range of undertones, Makeup Revolution’s Fast Base Stick Foundation quickly perfects, contours and highlights your complexion. It comes in 9 shades … 3 for fair, 3 for light, and 2 for medium and also deep tones. I purchased the shade F13 (dark skin with warm undertones) so that I could use it as a cream bronzer.

What I have learned from this swatch: This foundation has a demi satin finish. Does need powder to set it because this one does not dry down. I purchased it as a bronzer shade because I thought there is no way Revolution would come out with a stick foundation that would be any good. (their foundations are typically hit or miss for me). Damn it !! I was so wrong! This was the creamiest, smoothest, most full coverage swatch I’ve ever done with a stick foundation. I was so impressed with this just from the swatch that I promptly purchased it in the shade F4 (light skin with neutral undertones).

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Glow Foundation $12 at Ulta for .8 ounces of product.

This foundation is billed as “You asked. Makeup Revolution listened. Get ready to GLOW with Conceal & Glow Foundation.” with buildable coverage foundation has been pumped with brightening Vitamin C plus light reflecting pearl particles for the ultimate skin-loving, radiant finish. Simply blend over the complexion and watch your skin appear effortlessly illuminated, brightened and gorgeously glowing all day long. It comes in 8 shades (2 each for light, fair, medium and deep skin tones) and I purchased it in the shade F6 (light/medium skin with neutral undertones).

What I have learned from this swatch: First of all let me address the smell!!! Holy scent from hell batman! This has a strong… and I do mean STRONG paint thinner scent. I mean worse than the Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation! It did not dissipate after 10 minutes of wearing it on my hand… I will have to play around with it and see if there is a way to dilute the scent some. Other than that this is a BEAUTIFUL foundation. Super glowy and full coverage.

Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blush $8.99 at Ulta for .21 ounces of product

This cream blush is billed as sheer joy that blends seamlessly for a natural, flushed-from-within glow. Lightweight, buildable and never greasy, this multitasking cheek and lip balm-to-gel cream formula melts onto skin for an always luminous wash of color. Infused with skin-loving Pomegranate, Watermelon & Rose extracts plus antioxidants Vitamin A, C & E to hydrate and brighten. Spherical Powders blur imperfections to enhance the appearance of skin. It comes in 4 shades and I purchased the shade Coral Crush (pink)

What I have learned from this swatch: This is a super slippy balm formula. I can tell that it would be hydrating on the lips. It is a little sheer but did blend out well and it does not set down… powder will be needed with this one.

NYX Epic Wear Liner $8 at Ulta for .043 ounces of product and NYX Slide On Liner $8 at Ulta for .4 ounces of product

The Epic Wear liners are billed as  intensely pigmented eyeliner pencils with a smooth formula glides on effortlessly, and dries to a long lasting and waterproof finish that won’t smudge, fade or transfer for up to 36 hours. It’s offered in 24 shades and I purchased them in the shades Blue Trip (aqua), Cosmic Yellow (yellow), Emerald Cut (green – metallic), Graphic Purple (purple – metallic), Intense Teal (teal – metallic), Orange Zest (orange – metallic), Pink Spirit (pink) and Turquoise Storm (Turquoise – metallic).

The Slide On liners are billed as silky soft yet delivers a powerful robust color to line eyes that is waterproof and doesn’t smear or smudge, and provides extreme color. It comes in 16 colors and I purchased it in the shades Azure (a light dusty steel blue metallic), Esmeralda (grass green – metallic), Pretty Violet (mid toned blue based purple – metallic), Purple Blaze (mid toned pink based purple – metallic), Sunrise Blue (vivid blue – metallic) and Tropical Green (blackened forest green – metallic).

What I have learned from these swatches: Both formulas are super creamy, high pigmented, and very long wearing. I had to use a combo of coconut oil and Bioderma to remove the swatches. I think every shade I chose is going to look great in the waterlines.
