Ulta Drugstore Makeup Haul January 2021 #3

Quickly little Ulta drugstore makeup haul. My total came to $65 and I used some Ulta points so I also got $18 off my total.

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. Pain levels are around 6 and my energy is moderately high today. So I took a trip to Ulta to pick up a few things off my wish list. I’m still waiting on 4 of the 17 things I ordered from Ulta last week, they should be delivered Thursday this week…. in the meantime I popped in to pickup a few wish list things and also 2 things that I purchased because I really liked the items in a different shade.

I have had 3 hauls in just January…. but I was on a no buy so I treated myself for being good (well… except for when I broke my no buy 2 days before it was time …. that haul was called Collective Makeup Haul December 2020. The two other hauls I did for this month are January 2021 ColourPop Haul and January 2021 Haul#2 – Ulta Drug Store.

Well… on to haul ….

All products were purchased by me, links to the products mentions are in purple hyperlinks and are given so you can find the products faster… they are in no way affiliate or influencer links and as always all swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and in 1 swipe… the photos on the left or top are without flash and the ones on the right or bottom is with flash*

NYX Slide On Eye Liner in the shade Golden Bronze $8 for .04 ounces of product at Ulta

This liner is billed as a silky soft yet delivers a powerful robust color to line eyes. NYX Professional Makeup’s formula is waterproof, doesn’t smear or smudge, and provides extreme color. It comes in 16 shades of which I now own Golden Bronze (shown) and 5 other shades. I was so impressed with the swatches from yesterday that I had to pick up 1 more shade.

What I have learned from these swatches:  As I said yesterday the formula is super creamy, high pigmented, and very long wearing. I had to use a combo of coconut oil and Bioderma to remove the swatches. I think every shade I chose is going to look great in the waterlines. The metallic finish is just amazing.

Makeup Revolution Pout Bomb Plumping Gloss $7 for .17 ounces of product at Ulta

This lip gloss is billed as being able to plump up your pout with Makeup Revolution’s 6 shades of ultimate high shine-lip Pout Bomb Plumping Glosses. Infused with vitamin E for added nourishment, these glosses load your lips up with a rich glossy pigment plus you’ll feel a soft tingling effect for maximum volume and impact. I chose the clear called Glaze.

I swatched this one on my lips since it’s clear no need to hand swatch it …

What I have learned from this swatch: This does not plump the lips up…not at all…. it does tingle and there is a minty scent but it’s more of a cooling tingle than it is a plumping tingle. I wore it all the way home from Ulta (8 miles from me) and there was no change in my lips at all. They were hydrated, the formula isn’t sticky or gloopy and it was comfortable but I was bummed that there was no “plumping”.

Makeup Revolution Fix & Glow Ultra Glow Primer $12 for 1.75 ounces of product at Ulta

This primer is billed as being able to prep your skin for long-lasting makeup, whilst turning up the glow all over the complexion.

What I have learned from this swatch:  First of all the scent … like it’s foundation counterpart has a strong paint thinner scent… however in the primer it did in fact dissipate. It’s fine mica in the formula so no glitter ball effect. It left the back of my hand glowy and pretty.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation $9 at Ulta for .21
ounces of product

This foundation is billed as Foundation just got faster! Available in multiple shades and a range of undertones, Makeup Revolution’s Fast Base Stick Foundation quickly perfects, contours and highlights your complexion. It comes in 9 shades … 3 for fair, 3 for light, and 2 for medium and also deep tones. I purchased the shade F13 (dark skin with warm undertones) so that I could use it as a cream bronzer and loved it so much from just the swatch that I went back and purchased it in the shade F4 (light skin with nuetral undertones).

What I have learned from this swatch: This foundation has a demi satin finish. Does need powder to set it because this one does not dry down. I purchased it as a bronzer shade because I thought there is no way Revolution would come out with a stick foundation that would be any good. (their foundations are typically hit or miss for me). Damn it !! I was so wrong! This was the creamiest, smoothest, most full coverage swatch I’ve ever done with a stick foundation.

Milani Cheek Kiss Blush $9.99 for .37 ounces of product at Ulta

This cream blush is billed as the perfect kiss of color with an ultra-blendable & buildable, lightweight creamy liquid formula. Infused with skin-loving ingredients like pomegranate, rose extract and watermelon, this easy to apply, multi-use formula leaves just the right amount of color on cheeks or lips. It comes in 6 shades of which I purchased Cheeky Coral.

What I have learned from this swatch:  This is s super dewy cream blush that does not set down. There is no scent and is sheer. This is a great little blush for fresh faced days.

NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint $9 for .22 ounces of product at Ulta

This cream blush is billed as a buildable cream blush comes with a doe-foot applicator for easy & precise application with a weightless, blendable formula for a soft flush of color. IT comes in 6 shades and I chose Caralicious (coral)

What I have learned from this swatch:  This is a perfectly pigmented formula. It’s not too much but it’s not sheer either. It also sets down to a demi matte finish. I hope they extend their shade range because I would totally purchase more… I just don’t like the other shades offered at this time.

Physicians Formula Sculpting Bronzer $11.99 for .3 ounces of product at Ulta.

This cream bronzer is billed as an ultra-blendable and buildable Bronzer loaded with hydrating antioxidants to provide a healthy all-over-warmth to your skin that is a multi-use, cream-to-powder Bronzer infused with a nourishing blend of Organic Jojoba Oil, Natural Indian Senna Seed, Organic Aloe Vera, and Botanical Cactus Flower help get that sun-kissed glow without the harmful effects from the sun. It comes in 2 shades and I chose the shade Mocha.0

What I have learned from this swatch:  First off I had to remove a layer of product from the top because it was super dry and would not paint…. as seen on the picture bellow after I removed a layer it still sort of peeled off in a lump… after this however it was super creamy and easy to blend out. It does not dry down all the way so a bit of powder will be needed with this one. I do have to note that the scent is gross… it’s very herbally.

This was the chunk of product that peeled off after I removed the hardpan layer. After this piece peeled away the stick was easy to use.

Physicians Formula Dewy Highlighter $11.99 for .3 ounces of product at Ulta.

This cream highlighter is billed as an ultra-blendable and buildable formula loaded with hydrating antioxidants to provide a healthy glow to your skin. This multi-use, cream-to-powder Highlighter, infused with nourishing blend of Organic Jojoba Oil, Natural Indian Senna Seed, Organic Aloe Vera, and Botanical Cactus Flower help achieve a naturally brightened look instantly. It only comes in this shade.

What I have learned from this swatch:  There was no problem with this stick even though there was with it’s bronzer counterpart… It was creamy and easy to blend in and did in fact dry down to a powdery set. It’s a subtle highlight that will look just as pretty on bare skin as it will with a full face of makeup.

I’m still waiting on a Milani Fetish Lipstick $8.99 at Ulta, a Pixi Endless Silky Pen Liner $12.00 at Ulta, a Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded $7 at Ulta and a Maybelline Sensational Sky High Mascara $11.49 at Ulta. Once I receive those I’ll haul them for you.

XOXO, Nita
