Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing ok today. Last night I had a really bad panic attack and didn’t sleep well but I’m feeling better today.
I had a doctor’s appointment today so I just did a simple makeup look. For today I used the BH Cosmetics Beautiful in Barcelona palette. Since I basically had to rush and get out the door I used a lot of the same items I used in yesterday’s face of the day.

The scent notes are:
Top Notes: Blackberry, Vinyl and Cranberry.
Heart Notes: Damask Rose, Peony, Leather and Rose.
Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Musk and Vetiver (a perennial bunchgrass).
Now on to the walkthrough of today’s soft and smokey eye look…..

Base:
I primed my face using NYX Angel Veil Primer ($16 for 1.02 ounces of product at Ulta).I also used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 for 1 ounce of product at Sephora) in the shade 3 Light/Medium (neutral peach for light to medium skin). I contoured the perimeter of my face as well as my nose using NYX Wonder Stick ($12 for .28 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Deep Dark. I also used the lighter side to bronze my face too. I color corrected my under eyes using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 at Sephora) in the shade Light to Medium (pearlized peachy-pink). My concealer today is ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Creamy Concealer ($9 for .30 ounces of product at Ulta and on the ColourPop website) in the shade Fair 20N (neutral tone). I highlighted the high points of my face using Physicians Formula Organic Wear Dewy Highlighter ($11.99 for .3 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Dew Frost. For foundation today I chose ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation ($16 for 1 ounce of product at Ulta and on the ColourPop Website) in the shade Fair 30N (neutral). On my cheeks I used ELF Monochromatic Multi Stick ($4 for .155 ounces of product at Ulta and on the ELF website) in the shade Glimmering Guava (coral – shimmer).

Eyes:
I started with my brows and I used the E.L.F. Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 for .002 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown and then primed my lids using P. Louise Base (£10/$13.70 USD for .5 ounces of product on their website and also on the Morphe website) in the shade Rumour. For today’s eye look I used the BH Cosmetics Beautiful in Barcelona palette (Regular price $17.00 25% OFF on their website making the palette $12.75 making it $0.80 per shade). I started by setting my brow line using the shade La Rambla (a neutral beige – matte). As my transition I used the shade Carnation (burnt orange – matte). I chose the shade Dulce (coffee brown – matte) as my crease shade. To deepen the outer v of the crease and the outer most part of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade Stone (taupe grey – matte). For the middle 1/3 of my mobile lids I used the shade Familia (coral orange – metallic) and then on the inner 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade Exquisite (warm peachy nude – metallic). For my bottom lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Carnation (burnt orange – matte) and then deepened the lash line using the shade Spain (warm red based brown – matte). I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using my highlighter and then I lined my lower lash lines using the NYX Slide On Glide On Eyeliner ($8 for .04 of product at Ulta) in the shade Golden Bronzer (amber golden metallic). I used 2 coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara ($11.49 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:
I set my cheeks using the slightest amount of Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 for .26 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Rhubarb & Custard (soft coral). I set my bronzer using Makeup Revolution Bronzer Reloaded ($7 for .53 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Take a Vacation. I set my highlighter using Benefit Highlighter ($30 .28 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Cookie (golden pearl). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 for .14 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade 1. I set the rest of my face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($34 for .56 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. For touch ups I am still working through my Catrice Prime & Fine Mattifying Powder ($8 for .32 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Transparent. I did not line my lips since I was going to be wearing a mask for my doctor’s appointment I chose to test out the NYX Shine Loud Pro Pigment Lip Shine ($11.50 for .22 ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Born to Hustle (muted rose). To set my face I used Pixi Skintreats Makeup Fixing Mist ($15 at Ulta for 2.7 ounces of product) in the scent Rose Water and Green Tea.

Final Thoughts:

I give this liner a solid A+++!!! : This liner is billed as a silky soft yet delivers a powerful robust color to line eyes. NYX Professional Makeup’s formula is waterproof, doesn’t smear or smudge, and provides extreme color. It comes in 16 shades
This shade is stunning on the waterline! It brings out the very faint caramel in my eyes, glides on like a dream, and stays put all day! I have 6 shades now but can already tell I will be purchasing more because they are just such a joy to use.

I give this lip duo a solid D- : This lip stain is billed as the 1st ultra-pigmented high shine lip color, with up to 16hr zero color transfer wear. No smudge, no bleed, no fade: you can kiss, drink, hair flip and even wear it under your mask! This 2 step technology delivers comfortable 1 swipe bold color, with an ultra-glossy, non-sticky finish and claims that it only needs 90 seconds to dry. It comes in 24 shades
I really wanted to love this lippie… truly I did. It’s all the rage on TikTok right now… hence the reason I purchased it. The shade is super pretty and the concept is perfect however the execution failed miserably!
Firstly, it took way longer than 90 seconds to dry… it remained a bit tacky (although it did not transfer when I tested it), now I did have to apply a second and 3rd layer because with 1 thin layer it went on streaky and patchy. Secondly, upon applying the clear balm over it it was a nice feeling at first. I noticed that the lippie would not lay down on the inner part of my lips so there was a line of demarcation left behind. It did not transfer to my mask at all however once the balm wore off the lippie felt tight and dry and a few minutes after that the lippie started to pill (HORRIBLY). I tried to add a hint more balm and all that did was smear the lippie into the brush… it was still pilled and crusty. My lips felt dry and tight so I used a tissue and removed the lippie all together.
I thought maybe I had such a hard time with it because I added 3 layers, so I came home used makeup remover to remove the left over residue from the first attempt and applied 1 thin layer of the lippie… again it took almost a full 3 minutes to dry down and it did not dry all the way… it was still a little tacky. Again, I tested the lippie and nothing transferred but it still felt dry and crusty, I applied the clear balm and it still felt dry and tight after about 1/2 a minute the lippie began to pill again. It’s worth noting that a thin layer applied streaky and bunched up in spots around the lips as well. I promptly removed the lippie and now my lips feel very dry. I didn’t give this a solid F rating because the shade is divine and the clear balm is very nice so I did give it points for that… this is just a solid fail for me.

Beautiful in Barcelona Regular price $17.00 25% OFF on their website making the palette $12.75 ($0.80 per shade).
I give this palette a solid A+++!!! : This palette is billed as a chic mix of velvety smooth mattes and glistening shimmers in warm neutrals and deep smokey hues offers rich color payoff and seamless bendability for dazzling day-to-night effects that conjure the coastal city’s effortless sophistication that invokes the sleek ambiance of the Mediterranean. The palette contains 8 metallic shades, 1 sequin matte and 7 matte shadows.
Oh… this palette is HEAVEN! The shades are pigmented, buttery and the shades are perfection. You can get so many looks from this one little palette. The metallics are reflective and smooth and the mattes are soft and buff out seamlessly. Each shade played well with the others I used and there was little kick back in the pans and virtually no fallout on the face. The mattes are not as finely milled as the last few palettes I tired but they are soft and that allowed for a very fast blend. This is a case of a palette with a pop of color that just does it right. That little pop of blue on the end is the perfect shade to compliment the color story. I’m just in love. 💘

Well… that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and pray that you are in good spirits and health.
XOXO, Nita
I hope you are okay. Panic attacks are literally the worst things ever. I never knew until I started getting them. They make “just worrying” look like fun! Anyway that Barcelona palette has some great jewel tones mixed with warms. I was looking at it, but I just have way too many palettes that I’m not using. Too bad about the NYX lippie. I really like their single shadows for the price, but I have not tried any of their lip products.

Ugh that’s such a shame about the lippy, I know exactly the felling you described to! I’m glad you let us know though, I was just about to grab one myself because of all the hype but I was on the fence because they are a bit pricey here haha :p
