February 2021 Haul #4 ColourPop

Haul #4 – ColourPop

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK today. Pain level is 5, plenty of energy and my panic attacks are done. The new med makes me a it sleepy so I end up taking 3 or 4 naps throughout the day, this should change once my body adjusts to the med, the important thing is that I am not in constant state of panic anymore.

Until I’ve adjusted to the med I wont be doing any Face of the Day walkthroughs, I truly miss doing my makeup but at the moment I’m finding it hard to concentrate so I do need the time to adjust.

In the mean time I do have a super quick makeup haul for you… so let’s see what I purchased this week.

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Illuminator $12 for 1.20 fluid ounces of product (but on sale for $6 now) on their website.

This Illuminator is billed as a skin perfecting and ultra hydrating formula that leaves skin glowing and radiant and it comes in 4 shades. I purchase Soft Gold (pale soft gold).

What I’ve learned from this swatch is: There is a faint fresh soap/moisturizer scent to this highlighter. A very little goes a long way and it’s a subtle highlight… no glitter but does have a hint of mica in it. This highlighter does set down so you wont need to powder it.

ColourPop Brow Boss Gel $7 for 0.11ounces of product on their website

This brow gel is billed as a conditioning, comfy, non-crunchy formula that has a hold that lasts all day and it comes in 5 shades of which I purchased clear (goes on white but dries down to clear). It’s worth stating that this product is not available in Germany.

I did not swatch this one since it’s clear… I’ll review this one when I used it.

ColourPop Sol Face & Body Bronzing Balm $15 for 1.1 ounces of product on their website.

This cream bronzer is billed as a face and body bronzing balm that instantly delivers that sun-kissed just back from vacay look and it comes in 7 shades of which I purchased deep.

What I’ve learned from this swatch: This one has a unique scent to it… it’s very familiar but I can’t place it. It reminds me of my childhood but I can’t say what it is. It’s not unpleasant at all but there is a scent non the less. This bronzer has a nice slip to it and dries down to a powdery finish.

Colour Pop Stone Cold Makeup Brush Set $32 for 15 brushes (a $140 value making each brush worth $9.30 ) on their website.

The full set is billed as a 15 piece brush roll set features cool, stone colored handles and Ombre bristles in a faux leather case. Complete your whole look with one brush set, it’s that easy.

This is the 6 face brushes that come in the set: #F28: Large Round Powder Brush, #F29: Round Cheek Buffer Brush, #F30: Medium Powder Brush, #F31: Small Fluffy Blush Brush, #F32: Precision Powder Brush and #F33: Tapered Highlighter Brush.

Fist Impression: On all the brushes the head of the brushes is white and softly rounded, the toe of the brushes are all a blunt round shape except for the #F32: Precision Powder Brush it has a blunt pointy toe. the heel of all the brushes are pink and flat and pinched. The bristles are synthetic and super soft. The ferrules are a smokey taupe color and are made of brushed aluminum. the top of the ferrule (the part that pinches the heel of the brush) is round and pinched and the end of the ferrules are beveled. The handle of the brushes is a thick plastic in a cream shade and they have the brush number and ColourPop’s name on it in laser print.

The face brushes are very good quality and well worth the $9.30 value. I can’t wait to try this set out.

The eyeshadow brushes are a bit more firm than the face brushes but are still soft and I cant wait to test them out. This brush set did come with a brush roll that is perfect for travel… I’ll be traveling up North in October for my niece’s wedding so this brush roll comes in handy.

Well that’s all dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health and remember …..

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick ….

XOXO, Nita
